It's getting real for Charlotte FC with just 7 matches left in the MLS regular season and still needing to solidify a playoff berth. One way to do that would be continuing the 6-match win streak the Crown currently sits on, and some incoming transfers should help the cause of keeping the form we saw in a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake. That victory was definitely helped with an epic, tone-setting coronation ceremony with Carolina Panthers Great Roman Harper, who went stone cold with a double-fisted chug on the throne and fired up the entire stadium. Roman joins John and Danny to peel back the curtain and break it all down in one of the best episodes we've ever had...it's truly For the Crown, Baby! #soccer #charlotte #carolinapanthers #transfers #winning

The authors and editors of a new edited volume, Gender Ideology and Pastoral Practice: A Handbook for Catholic Clergy, Counselors, and Ministerial Leaders, represent a tremendous knowledge and experience in theology, philosophy, history, and social politics, and apply it to help us sort how to think about and talk about the recent wave of transgenderism in society and especially among young people. Often clothed in terms of compassion and acceptance, transgender advocates encourage young people to make permanent surgical changes to their bodies, bodies that many will soon regret. So, how do we counsel them? Christianity is fundamentally committed to compassion and love (caritas, agape) and opposed to judgement (Mt. 7:1) yet also committed to truth. And true love does not mean letting young people make permanent mistakes that they do not fully understand—so it's a real pickle! We talk it over on Almost Good Catholics. Hello, Catholic Pilgrims. Welcome back.  Mother is in London and it just so happens that she is there right at the time when the ceremony for the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra is about to take place. Their coronation took place on August 9th, 1902, so you can see that she was there just days before. Naturally, the city of London is full of people.  King Edward and Queen Alexandra are the parents of King George VI who came after them. And, as we all know, King George VI was the father of Queen Elizabeth II who died three years ago at the time of this recording. She died in 2022. It's crazy to think that much time has already passed.  Anyway, we have a short reading today and let's begin by turning to page 273.

The Monkey Seat - Motorsport Podcast

Strap in and crack open a lukewarm can of supermarket own-brand cola, because The Monkey Seat is back — just in time for the British Grand Prix!Tom and Karl return to their mics (and questionable opinions) after accidentally ghosting the Austrian Grand Prix. Was it scheduling? Was it laziness? Was it because Karl got lost in a multi-storey car park? We may never know. But they're back now, and ready to pretend they never left.In this episode, the lads dive into all the Silverstone shenanigans — home heroes, hydraulic heartbreaks, and more Union Jacks than a Coronation street party. They hand out their now-famous Driver of the Day awards (no one agrees, as usual), and crown the ultimate Dick of the Day – a prestigious honour for the biggest muppet on the grid. Or possibly in the commentary box. It's banter over breakdowns, nonsense over nuance, and the kind of chaotic race recap that makes Sky F1's coverage look like a TED Talk. Live reactions, fan interactions, and more detours than a British road trip – if it's serious F1 you're after, Grid Talk exists. Just after His baptism, Jesus faced a time of severe testing by the devil. Far from a staged performance, this was a time when it would be proven whether or not Jesus really was the perfect One who, unlike humanity, would maintain steadfast trust in the Father. This sermon will focus on this time in Jesus' life. This study will explore the motivation behind the temptations and Jesus' responses to them. A sermon given by Greg Chandler on June 29, 2025.

A Canonical Coronation from the Pope is being bestowed upon the statue a Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of a procession in her honor that goes through the streets of Hammonton, New Jersey. Listen to Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C share more in this segment of the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, about how the procession impacted his family and the people who attend it.The 150th anniversary of the procession in honor of the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Hammonton, New Jersey, is the longest continuous Italian festival in the United States. The image of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel there will have a canonical coronation on the feast day, July 16th. A Mass celebrates the special event as well as the annual procession of saints through the streets. The Pallottines served the parish that was called St. Joseph from 1901-2004. The diocese merged three parishes into one and renamed the parish, St. Mary of Mt. Carmel. The other image of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel that has a canonical crown is at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in New York (1904) which is the first church of the Pallottines in the United States. The Pallottines still serve there there.A canonical coronation is a formal act by the Pope, expressed through a papal bull, to crown a venerated image of Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary, or St. Joseph. This act acknowledges the image's local and universal significance within the Catholic Church. This is a rare honor for the church and our diocese. In the United States, only four Marian images have received this honor: Our Lady of Prompt Succor: Crowned on November 10, 1895, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our Lady of Mount Carmel: Crowned on July 10, 1904, in New York City, New York. Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception: Crowned on August 22, 2013, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  Our Lady of La Leche: Crowned on October 10, 2021, at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine in Florida. Notes:Listen to Pallottine Fathers and Brothers to learn moreLearn more about Our Lady of Mt. 13 And Jesus came into the quarters of Caesarea Philippi: and he asked his disciples, saying: Whom do men say that the Son of man is?Venit autem Jesus in partes Caesareae Philippi : et interrogabat discipulos suos, dicens : Quem dicunt homines esse Filium hominis? 14 But they said: Some John the Baptist, and other some Elias, and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets. At illi dixerunt : Alii Joannem Baptistam, alii autem Eliam, alii vero Jeremiam, aut unum ex prophetis. 15 Jesus saith to them: But whom do you say that I am?Dicit illis Jesus : Vos autem, quem me esse dicitis? 16 Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.Respondens Simon Petrus dixit : Tu es Christus, Filius Dei vivi. 17 And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.Respondens autem Jesus, dixit ei : Beatus es Simon Bar Jona : quia caro et sanguis non revelavit tibi, sed Pater meus, qui in caelis est. 18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.Et ego dico tibi, quia tu es Petrus, et super hanc petram aedificabo Ecclesiam meam, et portae inferi non praevalebunt adversus eam. 19 And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.Et tibi dabo claves regni caelorum.
