We are coming to the end of Season 3 at SEED's Podcast! In this final episode of Season 3, Choo Ying and Sien spoke to Dr. Amanda Kelly on the topic of environmental sustainability. Tune in to find out how she started her journey in environmental sustainability and more specifically the #Nostraw4me campaign. She also shares with us some real challenges that we may encounter when trying to change our own behaviors. Towards the end, Dr. Kelly shares how we could all integrate the knowledge of ABA into various areas that we are passionate about.
In this episode, we spoke to Dr. Marguerite Hoerger (Maggie), BCBA-D, Senior Lecturer in Education at Bangor University, and course director of the MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Her primary research interest is in developing affordable, evidence-based, and sustainable applications of ABA for use in schools. Dr. Hoerger shared insights with us about the importance of creating a behavior plan that fits into the teachers' vision of their own classroom. If they (teachers) don't like it, we (BCBAs) don't run it! She also highlighted that sanction and punishment don't teach new behaviour.

In this episode, we had the privilege to talk to Bethan Mair Williams, a speech and language therapist and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). She also shares with us what can special needs teachers can do to support mainstream teachers during this transition process, and how all students have the right to request for shadow aide in the classrooms if needed!
Many children receive 1:1 services very early on and when its time to go to school, we have many questions about school readiness and whether or not they are well prepared. In the opening episode for Season 2, Sien and Alexa spoke to Datuk Dr Amar-Singh, senior consultant pediatrician, advocate for people with disabilities and advisor of NECIC and the National Family Support Group for Children and People with Special Needs Malaysia.
