Lavaar is haunted by a mysterious door that appears in his chambers every night at 3 A.M. But only HE can see it. Now it is up to Lavaar to find a way to convince the others that his visions are real! Is a slumber party the thing that will finally bring everyone around? Are there seven minutes of heaven waiting behind that mysterious door? And can you really expect a rotting kohlrabi boyfriend to fit neatly into a binary gender-identity construct? Find out this week on No DICE!
A partial NO DICE team takes a side-quest to find "the mole" who helped orchestrate the assassination attempt on Cookie's family (in the previous episode). Their journey leads them to an arresting roadside encounter with a corrupt police force -- who are also frog-people -- and a musical party on a luxurious yacht. Cookie is forced into a "compromising" situation, and Lavar brandishes his magical fire powers to save their skins.
Episode 10 is a D&Ds-style parody / mashup of popular mob movies like The Godfather and Scarface. Cookie visits his "connected" family, which consists of Feys and Dwarves -- but suddenly, some mysterious hooded figures attempt an assassination. The group seeks refuge in Funky Town, where Brakka also investigates the origin of some cogs -- which could provide evidence of the person (or persons) who authorized the hit.
Episode 9 is a DnD parody mashup of the popular 90s sitcom, Friends. Our players are still stuck in Old York City where they come across a mysterious, tired man who is rigged with a large bomb. The NO DICE team learns that the evil Monica Yeller has corrupted the land, and they'll have to travel underground to escape her influence. However, they soon run into an evil Phoebe and her gaggle of smelly cats. Watch the show to find out what happens!
The crew finally takes some time to relax and enjoy life in Generica after several tough campaigns. However, while eating at a local pub, a mischievous young boy steals the deed to Lavar's tower. Brakka schemes to create her own line of croutons (called "New-Tons") from her own sourced stale bread, and a hack magician and rival from Lavar's past, Zanya, dings Lavar's ride just to get back into his life. More scheming and foiled diner dates ensue as Episode 8 unfolds into a chaotic Seinfeld / D&D parody mix-up!
Weirdness abounds in the second part of this this Twin Peaks-inspired mystery in which the characters encounter many confusing -- and sometimes dangerous -- illusions. An evil spirit named Rob seems to be behind it all. Can the characters of the NO DICE team get back to reality before losing their minds? Watch the full episode to see what happens!
The players are still trying to solve Phil's murder in this adventure, continuing from Episode 5 last week. Weirdness abounds in this Twin Peaks-inspired mystery which eventually leads the team to a seedy casino. We had a lot of hilarious interactions, great retro music (courtesy of Brian the Bard), and awesome audience participation.
After enjoying drinks on a relaxing beach resort, the players discover that a prominent man named Phil has been murdered from an apparent sunscreen overdose. They are deputized by Detective Domingo, and the real adventure begins! The crew is then tasked with interrogating suspects...Who killed the man everyone loved to hate? Yes, it's a CSI / Miami Vice (or, Miami DICE, amiright?) parody episode.
The NO DICE crew is still shrunken from the last episode, and they are swallowed by Jenna, one of Dr. Oddlike's abhorrent creations: a woman with a cat head. Early in the campaign, they see the spider-human hybrid and Jenna's lover, Jeremy, floating on a bottlecap in Jenna's stomach acid. Watch the whole episode to see how NO DICE escapes the rest of Jenna's digestive tract!
In this episode, the NO DICE team gets shrunk to the size of ants by a pro-wrestling obsessed scientist's old, shoddy technology. He unknowingly tosses them into the trash after Lavar transformed himself into a "milk elemental" to avoid drowning in a kitchen spill. They make their way into the yard -- which is bustling with a colony of hundreds of other shrunken people using insects as transportation devices and war machines.
In this gigantic episode, the science team responds to a distress signal in one of Generica's remote jungles. They discover that Generic-Ass Park has been overrun by mysterious, bloodthirsty creatures called "dinosaurs." What ensues is chaos...beautiful chaos. (Could it be a Jurassic Park parody?) Jeff Goldblum -- in novelty pillow format -- makes a brief appearance.
In this episode, the group holds a Q&A campfire session with the audience while Brian the Bard plays the Banjo. In the second half, NO DICE fights Snarf's minions in an underwater city. It was a memorable battle, indeed -- especially because the enemies were created from live Twitch chat submissions.
You won't want to miss this episode's epic final battle with Snarf. The Twitch chat sides with the evil wizard of Generica, and No Dice must slice through the horde. Kelsey Grammer also makes an encore appearance in a wrestling ring cage match. (Streamed LIVE on Twitch May 20, 2019. Featuring James Boland, Nick Firer, Stacy Pawlowski, Liv Shircel, David Lane, and Brian Bayer.)
We're nearing the final confrontation with the mysterious and powerful Snarf. Also -- new characters, Danny and Dodo, are introduced. How will the players make it? By making everything up, of course!
Cookie reveals his past in this memorable episode. James' futile quest to coin a better catch phrase than the lame and confusing "Dad Dabs" continues. Captain Cecaelia's Crew delve deeper into the depths of Snarf's Dungeon in the hopes of pinning the Evil One down for a final confrontation.
Captain Cecaelia and her crew continue to make their way through the very bowels of Snarf's Dungeon, hoping that the next door they pass through might be the door home. The door they choose, however, doesn't lead them home. Instead, they enter a room with a strange magical box that projects moving images. The adventurers are sucked into the box and find themselves transformed into Orc-kind -- on the wall of a great fortress on the cusp of a terrible siege! (Sounds like it's another Lord of the Rings parody for NO DICE.)
fter learning that their friend and companion, Lavar Lazarro, had been an agent of Snarf all along, recruiting unsuspecting adventurers into Generica (a world he had fashioned for his own amusement), Captain Cecealia's crew decide to join Lavar and stop Snarf once and for all. (If you haven't guessed yet, it's a D&D-Style Pirates of the Caribbean parody improv show.)
REFERENCES! In this epic episode (a D&D-Star Wars parody-mashup), the sinister entity known as SNARF has created a galaxy within the blood diamond maze ruled by an evil government, the details of which were not explained. The evil REALMERER of the Galaxy is planning to take the WICKET, something which is definitely important, to build a super weapon on with the power to destroy an ENTIRE PLANET, or several...Again, the details have not been specified.
After confronting specters of their past in the town of High Noon, Captain Cecaelia's crew travels deeper into the Labyrinth of the Blood Diamond in effort to escape Snarf's dungeon. You don't want to miss this suspense-filled episode!
Upon entering the mysterious Blood Diamond with the goal of making it to the center of its maze and escaping Snarf’s Dungeon, Captain Cecaelia’s crew is met by a concierge that invites them to dress in attire that is not of their time. After choosing strange new outfits and stranger new weapons, they are invited to enter the first level of the Blood Diamond’s Labyrinth a world within a world called High Noon, which is someplace west of Cincinnati.
Captain Cecealia and crew wake up in a darkened night club in Jazz City called The Cat House with no memory of how they got there or what they did last night. A salacious note left for Brakka by the Ice-man and a matchbook in Cecaelia's pocket lead them across the street to BottleBabbies, the kind of place where a body can get anything: Sex, an education, a quite place to read, anything.
Cursed by the Ring of Destiny with hideous warts spreading all across their bodies, Captain Cecaelia's crew only have 24 hours to place the ring on the Statue of the Matriarch of the Duckbirth family at Land’s End on the Cliffs of North Face.
The capricious all-powerful entity known only as Snarf sends Captain Cecalia's crew to the treacherous depths of Regal Hollow's Potato Mines to seek out the Ring of Destiny. Inside the adventurers take the road less traveled, which is always on the left, after being beckoned by the whispers of a sweet wind. The wind turns quickly into a trap of course as they are almost immediately set upon by three steam monsters.
While Famed Pirate Captain Cecaelia was sailing her ship laden with bananas for the Prince of the Island of Richter, in the hopes of finding the fabled Grail of Persuasion, her ship, also named Cecaelia, struck ground in a storm and was attacked by zombie pirates.
