A fantastic podcast was almost spoiled by my failure to pay close attention to recording it. About 40 minutes in, DavidNZ came online briefly (but then had to go again) and I failed to notice that I hadn't restarted the recording. Luckily Darryn was recording also, so panic over! The final podcast for 2009 features a discussion about the year that has been....an exceptionally eventful year. Andrew, Darryn and Philip chat about the year and talk about some of the highlights or significant news stories of the year for them. And to top it all off, they add some picks in to keep you enjoying your Mac and iPhone over the Christmas season. The news items discussed are: Apple introduces Magic Mouse - The world's first Multi-Touch mouse, Mac Mini server, Apple reports Fourth Quarter Results 2009, Apple releases iPhone 3.1, Apple premieres iTunes 9, Snow Leopard, Apple announces the new iPhone 3GS, and Jobs issues health letter
DavidNZ (David) and Loweded Wookie (Darryn) chat about about all the Snow Leopard news and Darryn's experience in installing and using the new operating system from Apple.
Join Darryn and Dave as they meet up in person (for the first time ever) in downtown Wellington to discuss iPhones, apps and what the Manager of the hotel (who makes a guest appearance) was trying to install on the two lovely 24" iMacs at the hotel.
Andrew, David, Darryn and Philip discuss the latest news about the iPhone 3.0 OS update for the iPhone and iPod Touch, the iPhone 3GS, the announced date for the iPhone 3GS to go on sale in New Zealand, as well as Vodafone's announcement of handset prices. We also take time to offer you some iPhone and iPod Touch picks.
So good they recorded it twice!! OK, a technical glitch made Darryn (aka Loweded Wookie) and Andrew (apdv1) have a discussion about Apple, HD TV, Eye TV and more in this episode...twice! But we're thankful to them for taking the time to have another session. The discussion includes useful software to use on your Macs, great sites and some great software picks. Those thinking of getting into using their Mac for a media centre or making use of great products like Apple TV, should check it out.
