In order to connect back to nature after centuries of alienation, we decided to create the "Out of Our Element" Series that includes four episodes that talk about each element, Fire, Water, Air, Earth. In this episode, hosted by Tanya, we discuss everything to do with fire, what it has symbolized across different cultures and religions, our personal experiences with fire, and its uses. We also dive into the topic of climate change and environmental issues, and how capitalism and imperialism are at the backbone of wildfires in the Amazon and in California. Es algo que todavía no puedo aceptar Me pregunto que quedare entre las brasas y cenizas respirando en soledad En La luz y la oscuridad Como en el principio algo nuevo puede reincarnar English translation: they say the world was born from fire and its the same way that I arrived The brightness of the sun illuminated my eyes, and the flames lit my tongue with a voice. An accident with intent And I appreciate its heat, although there are times when the truth burns me because there is no day that she does not leave me, I look up and I know that she is there even when the smoke hides her from me and although life is short and complicated and does not stop smoking The eternal flame immortalizes my soul So I can keep coming back until the end they say the world was born from fire And in the same way it will die. It's something that I still can't accept I wonder what will remain between the embers and ashes breathing in solitude In light and in dark As in the beginning something new can reincarnate.
