Ever wonder what the process of buying guns is south of the border?  Well buckle up amigos, we're getting to it today!  Also, we're going to learn Jim York's motto, talk about the US Military replacing the M-16/M-4, and for some reason Jon Smith hates Thor.   Vamonos muchachos!  It's El Rangetime Podcast!

Ok, well hate is a strong word.  But he attempts to explain his complicated relationship with the environment.  Plus we take on Beto, and Greta the climate kid.

Are people in the digital age meaner than in previous generations?  Or are we just hearing more about it? How does that factor in with guns and gun rights? We talk about this, plus we get Mike's take on how cops are dealing with a new generation of cops and gun owners that have grown up in the weird new world we're in. It's an all new RANGE TIME!

WHAT has the world come to?!  BOTH Wal*Mart and NASCAR are jumping on the list of organizations that are no longer part of the gun community.  WalMart with the highly publicized banning of open carry in their stores and get this... We're told NASCAR is no longer allowing gun sponsorships on their cars!  We'll discuss with Jon, Jim and Mike. PLUS find out where the deuce we've all been the last few months... It's a new RANGE TIME, kids!  BUCKLE UP!  It's about the get weird. 

You saw that right, an E-SPORTS team.  A team of soldiers that are literally fighting for freedom in the digital world.  Yes, we mean VIDEO GAMES. Highly skilled troops that represent the US military as part of an effort to recruit and retain soldiers, as well as educate the public as to the US Army's role in the world. This month the Salt Lake Gaming con was going on in Utah, and Jon Smith was able to catch up with the team to talk about the guns the fire in games compared to the games they have used in the real world.  Oh, and Jon shot their NCO, SFC Dodge, in the leg once.  Yes. Really.  Then they both lied about it because their wives were at the range that day. (Jon's edit:  Oh calm down, it was a ricochet.  He was fine :) )

Today Jon Smith catches up with one of his high school buddies, Tim.  Who is currently in the process of retiring from the USAF as a pilot of a C-17.  We'll talk about flying, deployments, carrying weapons on board, and what happens if you drop a handgun in a C17 lavatory.  Yes, it' happened.

We had a visit from the cops today! By that, we mean that the SLC Police Chief, Mike Brown stopped by to chat about policing in the 21st century, and a shift in urban interaction between the department and those they serve. How does modern technology fit in with modern police tactics, and more importantly, how does modern SHOOTING technology fit in?  Find out!
