Episode 16: Haunted Helpers & the Grumpy Van Man SurveyWelcome, my spiritual sweethearts!
In this episode I give my initial thoughts on the president Trump initiative to cut EBT, Section 8 etc. Buckle Up! I'm sure many will get triggered. Hit dogs will holler.
In this segment I continue my initial thoughts and reactions to watching some of the examples as to why these social programs are being targeted for overhaul or cuts by the Trump administration. Buckle Up! Trigger warning!
Our last episode, titled “Fight for Your Children,” had a tremendous impact on our communities. It sparked a flood of questions, making it clear that the conversation had to continue. That brings us to this powerful new follow-up episode, titled “Save Our Children.”We sat down with Mrs. Roxanne Richardson, B.A., M.S. Ed., J.D.—a former licensed attorney and seasoned educator who has taught in both New York and Virginia. Her legal work included serving with Legal Aid and the United States Coast Guard. This episode gives you a behind-the-scenes look at our school systems and the stigmas that continue to plague them. We delve into the core problems—and explore some of the real solutions. Thank you Roxanne for lending your voice to this important topic.Buckle up, and welcome to the truth.
Youre gonna hate me but its ok
Hello, my spectral sweethearts!
The second in a series of bite-sized rationality prompts[1]. Often, if I'm bouncing off a problem, one issue is that I intuitively expect the problem to be easy. My brain loops through my available action space, looking for an action that'll solve the problem. Each action that I can easily see, won't work. I circle around and around the same set of thoughts, not making any progress. I eventually say to myself "okay, I seem to be in a hard problem. Time to do some rationality?" And then, I realize, there's not going to be a single action that solves the problem. It is time to a) make a plan, with multiple steps b) deal with the fact that many of those steps will be annoying and c) notice thatI'm not even sure the plan will work, so after completing the next 2-3 steps I will probably have [...] ---Outline:(04:00) Triggers(04:37) Exercises for the ReaderThe original text contained 1 footnote which was omitted from this narration. --- First published: July 5th, 2025 Source: https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/XNm5rc2MN83hsi4kh/buckle-up-bucko-this-ain-t-over-till-it-s-over --- Narrated by TYPE III AUDIO.
The Atlanta Braves just came home to a very winnable home stand where the team really needed to win both series, versus the sub-.500 likes of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Baltimore Orioles, and Philadelphia Phillies. They would not win all three series. They would not even win one series. They would win two games in the entire nine-game home stand, that would culminate with them getting swept by the Orioles to finish it out. The worst thing about the Orioles sweep, is that the two remaining starters that can be trusted got beat. The Braves are now 11 games under .500, with a record of 39-50, and with an incomplete rotation plus a still scuffling lineup, it may just get worse before it gets better. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael get in to the Braves, and some positives as we head towards the All-Star Break.
Stage 1 delivered cross-winds, chaos, and a shake-up nobody saw coming. Stage 2 upped the ante with relentless horizontal rain and a classics-inspired showdown. Hollywood and Marko join Matilda Raynolds to dissect the big moves, epic meltdowns, and critical strategies shaping the early days of the Tour de France. Welcome back, my loves – another week, another batch of spirits, stories, and deeply questionable fashion choices. We kick off with Linda talking about her clothes (as usual), and I admit that my everyday wardrobe is a far cry from my stagewear. Let's just say the spiritual energy doesn't extend to my laundry basket. Then we're back to Betty Boo again. I think Linda's angling to become her tour psychic.Spooky tales roll in fast this week:
JR on Mike Brown having huge shoes to fill in New York as the Knicks new head coach. | CBS 58 Sports Director Lance Allan joins JR! | The Lakers finally add a big man. |
what if you were never actually a U.S. citizen... legally? and what if your “identity” was tied to a contract you didn't knowingly sign? BUCKLE UP for a mind-bending, paradigm-warping conversation that invites you to question... everything. not from fear, but from sovereignty. especially when it comes to the unconscious contracts we enter into with systems we barely understand. in this episode, i sit down with Brandon Joe Williams to explore: the difference between state and federal citizenship why the 14th Amendment changed everything (but maybe not how you think) the legal definitions of “person,” “individual,” and “citizen” how language has been weaponized to shape compliance and identity and the ways we can break free from chains we didn't even know we had! ⚠️ PRO TIP: watch on YouTube to see brandon's screen shares as he reads directly from legal documents and court cases (link to watch here). connect with Brandon Joe Williams: website: https://one-stupid-fuck.com instagram: @iambrandonjoewilliams facebook: Brandon Joe Williams youTube: Brandon Joe Williams https://www.williamsandwilliamslawfirm.com/ want to go deeper? i host monthly SOUL SYMPOSIUMS, share private transmissions, and explore topics like this inside my patreon — a digital sanctuary for critical thinking, spiritual inquiry, and sacred questioning. if you want my full commentary on conversations like this... ...join my inner circle → https://www.patreon.com/eringunzelman/membership (drop in. linger. lurk. start a conversation. cancel anytime.) other ways to work with erin:

Linda's had a promotion! Yes, she's now in charge of… stationery. Or something. She's really climbing the ranks of spiritual admin — big time now. Then we hear from Heath McStay, who drops us a message from the beyond (well, the inbox), before heading into the hills of Wales for a recording with Dave Granville — topped off with a spooky little addendum you'll want to hear. From there, it's time for some Bitesize Shivers – first, about a therapist, and then about dreams that predict the future. Eerie stuff, and just vague enough to apply to everyone. We chat about therapy in general. Have you ever had any? I tried once… but the spirits kept interrupting. Then we dive into the unsettling sensation of bad vibes — you know when you walk into a room and your soul wants to moonwalk straight back out again? That.Next, we hear from the marvellous Dilly Campbell, who's got a spooky story of her own to share. Then it's back to the oracle: Take a Break Fate & Fortune gives us a proper spiritual conundrum to solve. We do our best. (No guarantees.)And for something a bit different — a ghostly tale from none other than Fortean Times, all about Hiroshima. Powerful stuff. We round off, as ever, with Barry from Watford, promoting the latest episode of his talkSPORT podcast Buckle Up with Barry. "The Good Listening To" Podcast with me Chris Grimes! (aka a "GLT with me CG!")
Send us a textWhat happens when personal tragedy becomes the catalyst for extraordinary Business vision? Holly Hull's journey as the founder and CEO of Corporate Peaks Group reveals exactly that transformative alchemy.Holly joins us to share how losing her father to a freak wave accident fundamentally reshaped her outlook on life and business. Rather than being crushed by grief, she channeled this devastating experience into a Carpe Diem philosophy that drives everything she does. "Buckle up" became her mantra – a warning that the journey ahead would be challenging but beautiful.Within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) industry, Corporate Peaks stands apart through its human-first philosophy. Holly has reimagined corporate events beyond mere "jollies" into transformative experiences where executives can disconnect from technology and reconnect with themselves, their teams, and the natural world around them. From sunset hikes up Mount Ouzon to carefully crafted team-building experiences, her company creates environments where creativity flourishes and genuine connection happens. The most surprising insight? How Holly's business philosophy directly reflects her personal values. She protects her Wednesdays for family time, leaving her phone behind to be fully present with her children. This commitment to walking her talk distinguishes her leadership style – she genuinely understands the value of presence in a distracted world because she practices it herself.Whether you're an entrepreneur seeking inspiration, a leader looking to enhance team connection, or simply fascinated by human resilience, Holly's story offers precious wisdom. Connect with Corporate Peaks to discover how mountain views and nature's challenges might just unlock your team's untapped potential.Tune in next week for more stories of 'Distinction & Genius' from The Good Listening To Show 'Clearing'. In this episode I discuss the all to familiar case of an innocent "Black" man in one Vincent Simmons who was wrongfully convicted of a crime he didn't commit and sentenced to essentially life in prison at the age of 25 only to be exonerated 44 years later and released from prison with zero compensation. His reaction to regaining his freedom at the age of 70 and my thoughts on what should happen to those who falsely accuse innocent people of crimes and it later is found out that they lied. Buckle Up!

Greg Cantori joins Steve Gurney to challenge how we think about home safety. Drawing parallels to the evolution of car safety, Greg makes a compelling case for why grab bars and handrails should be standard in every home—just like seat belts in vehicles. From preventing falls to embracing universal design, this conversation offers real-world solutions to help people of all ages live safely and independently. They explore the stigma around safety features, how thoughtful design can be both beautiful and functional, and the bold idea that accessible homes should be the default, not the exception.Whether you're a caregiver, a designer, or simply someone who wants to age in place with dignity, this episode will shift your perspective on what it means to create truly safe and inclusive living spaces.

Are rising risk asset prices the result of long-term allocation changes or short-term trades? Matt Orton, CFA, and Joey Del Guercio, CFA, talk about debt downgrades, risk asset prices, and whether bond market disruptions are caused by structural flows or genuine increases in the costs of capital. They also discuss the expansionary effects of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and possibly the most important — but also most overlooked — catalyst for growth in U.S. markets.

If the Day of Judgment were held for Gaza alone—with no other case in history to be settled—it would still be a day of overwhelming terror and awe. We're now talking about over fifty thousand martyrs, hundreds of thousands injured, and millions of ongoing tragedies—starvation, displacement, grief—stories so painful they're almost impossible to bear. If each case took just one hour to be judged, how long would that Day last? One single case: the killer is brought to account. Then, all those who enabled him—those who helped, who made the bullet possible, who passed along the intel, who incited him with words, actions, or even a silent nod—are also brought forward. Then, what about those who stayed silent? Who walked away and gave up? Who chose their stomachs and appetites over boycotting the products of the killers of Gaza? Those who rarely brought Gaza, al-Aqsa and Palestine into their discourse, arguing that they "do not discuss politics"? Or those who tip toed around the topic, fearing for their followership, income or both? What if they, too, are called to answer? Then, what about those in power—Muslim and non-Muslim alike—who suppressed the truth and spread falsehood? Who silently celebrated the death of Gaza? Who punished those who dared to speak out, who tweeted, who raised a flag, who protested the massacre? What if they are brought forth as well? All of this for a single case of suffering in Gaza. So, what about every case of Gaza? What about every case of Palestine? What about every case of every living thing that has ever existed? That inevitable and fast approaching Day will be beyond imagination. “When the earth is shaken with its final quake, and it throws out its burdens, people will cry out, “What is happening to it?” On that Day, it will speak its stories—because your Lord will have commanded it. That Day, people will emerge in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. Whoever has done even an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will see it.” (Al-Qur'an, 99:1-8) The next phase.. In light of the extreme campaign of brutality in Gaza —and the near-total global abandonment of its victims—a heavy moral debt has been accumulated. Life will simply never return to how it once was before this tragedy. That chapter is closed. How Allah will settle this debt is known only to Him. But one thing appears certain: it will reach the homes of nearly every human being in the coming period. Believers must realise that what has taken place in Gaza will not be brushed aside or forgotten in Allah's records. These events were extreme in every sense of the word - in savagery, in hypocrisy, in arrogance, and in the shameful global neglect. Even if every weapon were to fall silent today, enough has already happened to warrant terrifying days ahead. It's time to rise above the noise and distractions of daily life, to brace our īmān for the phase to come—by turning back to Allah in repentance, by tightening our grip on His dīn, and – equally important - by pushing ourselves to the maximum in aid of Gaza's cause. This isn't about pessimism—not in the slightest, as the outcome always favours the righteous. But based on all what has now occurred, and based on what we know of Allah's fixed laws in the universe, the road to that outcome is going to be filled with real difficulty in the coming phase. So, register stances of piety and activism whilst you still can, stances of real reformation and change, both within yourself and your circles, even the very smallest of them at your local Masjid, at home, or even smaller. Perhaps, through our desperate efforts, Allah may spare us from what He has prepared for a world that watched and did nothing. “So when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We rescued those who forbade evil, and seized the wrongdoers with a severe punishment for their rebelliousness.” [Al-Qur'an 7:165] Ali Hammuda From https://www.youtube.com/@Ali.Hammuda/community Thank you for tuning in Peace and love always, Amber

Send us a textPeter Duffy's message is plain: The pace of mergers will get fatter and it will involve credit unions of all sizes, from the small to the mega institutions. First Tech and DCU may seem an outlier but now there is ENT and Wings and the pace will keep up, says Duffy who now has joined SRM.Will the chaos and uncertainty in Washington DC slow the merger pace? Duffy thinks not, indeed the pace may quicken. That's because, says Duffy, economies of scale are now the Holy Grail of financial institutions. This season will obviously not be the wire to wire 1st place finish of 2021, or the record setting season that was 2023, but it will be a season of grind, that will end up with a close finish in the National League as the Braves, and early World Series favorite, will have to fight to win every series.
