Okay, so I still don't have an intro, but whatever. It's only the fourth episode. Charles McBee is so dope that he doesn't like bragging about things he hasn't finished yet. In this episode, we discuss how he learned to assume he wasn't smart, and how far that's gotten (or not gotten) him. More role models for creative types! If you made plans to get discovered and escape something about your life, you're not alone. Charles talks about what he learned in community college and regular college and regular college again. How long should people force themselves to follow a traditional route until they move on? He talks about his seat of the pants career style. He talks about the inner voice that never fails to remind him that he's stupid, and shares how he deals with that voice, now. He figured life out by getting looked at as crazy until momentum was on his side. I let people in on my new insecurity. twitter @charlesmcbeeinsta @charlesmcbeecharlesmcbee.comMultiple TV appearances and for the past few years he has worked on several shows in development on VH1 and MTV

003 - Graci Carli and her Forced Habit of Confidence

Graci Carli is an actress, filmmaker & musician based out of NYC. Her work can be found practically everywhere, from indie film fests to commercial campaigns. You can also see her band playing once a month in NYC. Although her attitude seems effing flawless -- she's had some hardships, and she proves herself fearless about diving into them. In this 45 minute interview, she reminds me that she's one of the most beautiful people I know by being emotionally SO open in this interview. RAW. That's my friend. We learn we have more in common than we ever realized. We talk about losing support systems in elementary school because our parents moved us away from all our friends, and how we got okay with being excluded. She discusses forgiving herself for the fallen soldier she is. She shares how she built the habit of confidence. Her recent diagnosis of fibromyalgia. We discuss the concept of living a life with the intent to serve (which, of course, leads perfectly into an inevitable conversation about co-dependency). I share a weird new thing that's happened more than once to me when I tell guys "I don't date." And we wrap it up with Graci laying down some super smart advice for anyone struggling, who might need or want it.Graci Carli can be found: gracicarli.comher instagramher band can be found at reverbnation.com/ladylightningmusic

I promised Gabe Pacheco a lovely intro, but he did a great job on his own. 1st things first, Gabe's first official album, Risky Behavior, dropped last month! Get it here on iTunes. What makes Gabe him "weird" in his own mind as a kid. He explains his early experiences with mortality. He shares a negative story that he battles when he's trying to take action. I respond with my fear of "to do lists."What do YOU think about "routines" and "discipline?" Are they good or boring? Also, just for kicks, what's the "right way" to get a massage? We wrap it up with a few minutes on faith, meditation, and the assumptions kids make about adults.Check out his website here.his twitterhis instagram
