Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holdings CEO Dr Seth Lederman joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the launch of the “Move Fibro Forward” campaign by Tonix Medicines, Inc., the company's commercial subsidiary. This initiative aims to raise awareness, offer support, and bring greater visibility to the millions of individuals affected by fibromyalgia—a chronic and often misunderstood pain disorder that has seen no new FDA-approved treatments in more than 15 years. Fibromyalgia impacts an estimated 10 million adults in the U.S., with approximately 90% of those affected being women. The condition is believed to result from amplified pain and sensory processing in the central nervous system, leading to widespread pain, fatigue, and cognitive disturbances. Dr. Lederman emphasized that many people with fibromyalgia have endured their condition in silence, often without adequate recognition or treatment options. “We believe that acknowledging the reality of their experience, validating their suffering, and showing empathy is a vital step toward real progress,” he said. There aren't enough stories out there of people who have fibromyalgia and who have found ways to feel better. Many of our doctors tell us there's nothing we can do, and it's not uncommon to hear about how terrible life with fibromyalgia is. But while it can be debilitating, it's not a life sentence. There's always something else you can try to manage your fibromyalgia symptoms. Life adjustments will have to be made, but feeling better is absolutely possible, and all of our students have experienced this for themselves. After taking the Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® program, graduates see an average of 50% improvement in their symptoms, and after taking the Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® program, are often nearly symptom-free. Most fibromyalgia medications only offer 15-30% improvement, if they work for the individual at all. Today, in the eleventh installment of our Stories of Hope and Healing, you're going to hear the stories of four recent graduates, as told by them. For this class, the Advisor students showed an average improvement of 66%, while our Coach students achieved scores that align with what some people consider remission. In this episode you'll hear about how Jeannette overcame perfectionism and what she did to pace herself, why Jeannette wanted to become a coach, what she's learned from both client wins and challenges, the tools and strategy that most helped Jeannette improve her Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQR) score, Jeannette's ideal coaching clients, her advice for perfectionists just starting their healing journey, why Shelly chose community and coaching for her fibromyalgia journey, how her coach, Kim, helped her learn to manage her pace and setbacks, how Shelly achieved a 59% FIQR improvement through small, sustainable changes, Shelly's advice for listeners who feel overwhelmed, what it was like for Jacqui to start the class during her worst fibro flare, the major differences in Jacqui's life before and after coaching, the specific steps Jacqui took with her coach around medication, nutrition, and mindset, what inspired Jacqui to become a coach and help other fibromyalgia patients, Lauren's experience being diagnosed during the pandemic and with two young children, Lauren's two-year journey of gradual healing and the long-term strategies that made a difference, success stories from Lauren's clients, how Lauren supports mothers of neurodivergent children, Lauren's encouragement for moms navigating both fibromyalgia and caregiving, how you can get support on your fibromyalgia journey, and more. If you've been avoiding medicinal mushrooms because you're worried about immune stimulation, this conversation will change your mind. I talk with naturopathic doctor and mushroom expert Dr. Anna Sitkoff about how most medicinal mushrooms actually promote immune balance and tolerance.Anna explains how mushrooms support autoimmune healing on multiple levels: feeding beneficial gut bacteria, reducing pathogen load, and calming the nervous system. She shares which mushrooms work best for specific conditions, quality markers to look for when shopping, and why reishi is called the "mushroom of immortality."This episode opened my eyes to how these powerful healing allies can support our bodies naturally without overstimulating our already reactive immune systems. For the complete show notes and links visit inspiredliving.show/202
Living The Full Life with Dr. Juan
As a master Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®, author, and fibro podcaster, the questions I'm asked more than any others are: How do I get better? How do I improve my Fibromyalgia so I can get back to living the life I want to live? While those sound like simple questions, they do not have simple answers. We all have similar symptoms, what helps you feel better may not be the thing that helps me feel better. We all have to find our own magic formula for what makes us feel best. I know from personal experience just how overwhelming it can be to find that formula on your own. That's why I created a training program in 2015 that would teach people just like you how to improve their own Fibromyalgia, and how to help others do the same. In this first episode of a special series where I'll be answering a lot of questions I get about our Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® class and about becoming a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®, I want to start super basic. We're going over what a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® is, how that's different from a Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor®, why you should consider the Advisor class if you're a patient who just wants to feel better, who else the Advisor class is perfect for, what the certification aspect really means, the staggering statistics on how many participants see significant improvements in their symptoms by the end of the Advisor class. Einat shares simple, science-backed habits to reset your cortisol and circadian rhythm, like morning sunlight and mindful eating with protein pacing. We also dive into sleep challenges during perimenopause and menopause, plus a clever mental trick called “cognitive shuffling” to help you fall back asleep quickly. Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holdings CEO Dr Seth Lederman joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss updates on two of the company's key investigational therapies: TNX-801 and TNX-102 SL. Tonix's product development candidates are investigational new drugs or biologics; their efficacy and safety have not been established and have not been approved for any indication. Lederman shared recent findings on TNX-801, a recombinant horsepox-derived live-virus vaccine candidate for mpox and smallpox presented at the Vaccine Congress 2025 in Vienna. The latest data demonstrate that TNX-801 delivers durable humoral and cellular immunity from a single dose, while remaining highly attenuated—replicating much times less than licensed vaccinia strains in primary human dermal cells. In interferon receptor knockout mice, it was shown to be up to 100,000-fold less virulent than legacy vaccines. The company announced that subcutaneous (s.c.) administration provides equivalent protection to the traditional percutaneous method. This finding supports a development shift toward the s.c. format, aligning TNX-801 with standard administration routes for most live-virus vaccines. Potential benefits include reduced risk of scarring, bacterial superinfection, and inadvertent transfer of vaccine to other parts of the body—challenges associated with percutaneous delivery. In addition to the vaccine data, Lederman also shared the update that a peer-reviewed manuscript has recently published on-line in the journal Pain Medicine describing the Phase 3 RESILIENT trial of TNX-102 SL, a centrally acting, non-opioid analgesic for fibromyalgia pain. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 study enrolled 457 patients across 33 U.S. sites. Participants received a stepped dose of TNX-102 SL, beginning at 2.8 mg for two weeks and escalating to 5.6 mg for twelve weeks. TNX-102 SL was well tolerated, with the most common side effects being mild and transient oral sensations. No drug-related serious adverse events or deaths were reported. These updates reinforce Tonix's strategic focus on unmet medical needs across infectious disease and chronic pain indications. TNX-801's next-gen vaccine and TNX-102 SL's non-opioid analgesic for fibromyalgia relief position the company as a leader in advancing novel vaccines and therapeutics #proactiveinvestors #tonixpharmaceuticalsholdingcorp #nasdaq #tnxp #Biotech #MPOXVaccine #Smallpox #TNX801 #VaccineDevelopment #ClinicalTrials #PharmaceuticalNews #MedicalResearch #WHO #GlobalHealth #InfectiousDiseases #Biopharma #ProactiveInvestors #tnx-102sl

“Listening to your body is one of the key things you need to do to make everything else work.” Over the past ten years of teaching people about fibromyalgia, Tami has seen certain issues repeatedly come up that get in the way of the healing journey. Last week, during our Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® training class, a student raised an important question about how we identify these issues when we have a client who isn't improving as we would like them to. The more you learn about fibromyalgia, the more aware you are of tools that could help you and why your symptoms may not be improving. At the same time, some less obvious issues often go unnoticed but must be addressed to make progress. Things like working with a doctor who doesn't quite know what to do with us, being in a season of life that doesn't allow us to prioritize ourselves, or unconscious trauma responses that block us from making the changes we need to. In today's episode, Tami is sharing the top three hidden reasons why your fibromyalgia symptoms might not be improving. She discusses why not listening to your body can block healing (whether or not it's unintentional), the key difference between consciously ignoring your body and being unaware of what it needs, the benefits of writing your body's owner's manual, how trauma can make it harder to manage your symptoms, acknowledging that rest and awareness are essential for healing, how undiagnosed or undertreated health conditions can get in the way of your healing journey, underlying conditions that Tami had to address as a part of her fibro journey, advocating for yourself and finding medical professionals who listen, how fibromyalgia amplifies other sources of pain, the importance of being realistic and managing expectations, why some people may not be ready, willing, or able to do the work required for improvement, when it's okay not to do the work, support for those facing financial or geographic limitations, and more. In this very personal and insightful episode of The MindHealth360 Show, Ashok Gupta – internationally renowned health practitioner and creator of the Gupta Program – joins us to discuss how brain retraining can reverse chronic illness and heal the nervous system. Gupta shares the powerful story behind the creation of his program, which he developed after suffering from ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) as a student at Cambridge University. Through his own neurological research and treatment plans, Gupta achieved full recovery and has since helped thousands of others do the same. Kirkland Newman shares her own journey through mould toxicity, nervous system dysregulation, and severe neurological symptoms, and how the Gupta Program – recommended to her by Dr. Neil Nathan – was instrumental in her recovery. Together, they explore how chronic stress, trauma, and environmental triggers can lead to maladaptive brain responses that keep the body stuck in illness, and how brain retraining offers a path to healing. In this compelling episode, Gupta explains the science behind his program, its origins, and how it helps people with conditions such as ME/CFS, CIRS, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Fibromyalgia, long COVID, mould illness, anxiety, and other neurological and mental health conditions. He also reflects on the broader implications of neuroplasticity and the mind-body connection in the treatment of chronic disease. In this episode you will learn about: How Ashok Gupta developed the Gupta Program after healing from chronic fatigue syndrome during his time at Cambridge University. The role of brain retraining in reversing neurological and mental health symptoms caused by an inflammatory and immune response driven initially by toxins and pathogens, and leading to a dysregulated nervous system and chronic symptoms Why chronic illness is often rooted in a “trauma loop” within the brain's limbic system. How the Gupta Program uses neuroplasticity to interrupt maladaptive patterns and rewire the brain toward healing. Why environmental triggers like mould can activate a dysfunctional threat response in the brain. How Ashok Gupta's recovery journey led to the creation of a structured, evidence-based program that has helped thousands of people globally. A firsthand account from host Kirkland Newman on how the Gupta Program helped relieve her symptoms of tremors, anxiety, fasciculations, and more. The importance of viewing chronic illness through the lens of the brain-body connection, and the role of hope and empowerment in recovery.

This week's episode is very special for all of the veterans out there... We welcome back three previous guests to discuss receiving healthcare at the Veteran Health Administration (VHA) a component of the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Our main guest (from left to right above) is Mark Frerichs, a Navy veteran who was held captive by the Taliban while working as a government contractor in Afghanistan. His battle didn't end with his eventual release and he was home trying to get the health care services he deserved. Supporting him are: Kristal Kent, an Army veteran explaining the difficulties she has taken on as a female veteran with what some call "invisible-illness" Fibromyalgia. And Marine Corps veteran Brain Tally who also had great difficulty within the VA, so much so that he took it upon himself to sponsor a bill and get a new law that will help countless numbers of veterans if they run into problems with their contract doctors in the VA. Although two of the three co-hosts here at PodcastDX are also Army veterans, Jean Marie and Lita will not provide their own input on the topic for this episode. They do however completely agree with the difficulties navigating the largest healthcare system in the United States.

In a world where chronic illness is skyrocketing and people are spending thousands on supplements and labs with little relief, what if we've been focusing on the wrong thing? In this episode, Dr. Jannine Krause sits down with Mel Hopper Koppelman, Program Director at Synthesis Health Lab, to talk about a radically different — and incredibly effective — approach to healing. Instead of chasing symptoms or optimizing labs, Mel focuses on repairing the foundation of the nervous system and working with the first principles of health. The result? A 50%+ reduction in symptoms for many chronic illness sufferers without endless supplements or constant testing. Mel blends ancient healing wisdom with modern neuroscience and has helped thousands recover from chronic fatigue, autoimmunity, fibromyalgia, and more — especially those who felt like they had “tried everything.”
