This week‘s games played section starts off innocently enough, but quickly evolves into the “Persona 5 Appreciation Awards” when the hosts can’t stop gushing about it. We also briefly touch on the current state of VR and Nick discusses his recent play though of Pixel Ripped 1995. In the news, we give our take on the Xbox Series X event fiasco and what our interpretation of the phrase “Actual Gameplay” really means. We also enter the second week of our (Game)Shark Tank mini series that tasks each host to pitch a game idea that they would love to be made. This week Matt is up, and if you‘ve learned anything about Matt so far, you know to never under estimate his ability to surprise you. Will his pitch go off without a hitch? We’re back!!! It’s been a month and we’re sorry for the delay. But we’re here and ready to talk about some stuff, and boy, do we talk in this one. Japan isn't currently on a strict lockdown, but many of us here are trying to stay home as much as possible and its giving us all a bit of cabin fever. This weeks episode is a weird one. Weird and funny. And a little long. The best combo for trying times like these. Especially when your stuck inside. We start out as usual talking about what we’ve been playing since the last episode, mainly Animal Crossing and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Then we talk about the news just a bit. And finally we get to our new host segment, which is a mini series this time called.......(Game)Shark Tank™. Each week in this new mini series, a different host will need to pitch an original game idea that they came up with to the rest of the hosts, field questions about it, and try to secure fake internet funding to produce the game. It’s finally here! We did it somehow. We were able to wade through a whole years worth of game releases and agree upon, as the Reiwa Gaming Podcast, our top 5 games of 2019. Some battles were won and some were lost, but after a surprisingly civil discussion we are able to declare a winner.  Along with the official group list the hosts also go over their personal top 5 lists, and they are all pretty different.  This was a fun episode to record and we hope you all enjoy it. The holiday season approaches and with it comes a long stretch without any major game releases. Luckily for us, we all have a decent game backlog waiting for us.
