Is accurate knowledge proof of the survival of consciousness—meaning the personality of the deceased persists beyond death? It has grown from four to twelve teams, but that does not seem to be enough to some in college football. While sixteen seems to be a natural progression, a much larger number was suggested recently. Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti threw out the idea of a 28-team playoff and sent the college football world into an uproar. Was this suggestion just a ruse for a more preferable plan? Why was this the only playoff idea that was reported on? How realistic is a 28-team playoff?
