The Scottish Football Coaching Podcast is back for 2021.    In our latest episode, it's all about Scott McDonald, with the former Celtic and Motherwell forward joining his namesake - a 23-year-old C-Licence holder - to discuss their very different coaching experiences so far.    Host Lewis Irons and Scottish FA Head of Coach Education and Development Greig Paterson are joined by the two Scott's from opposite corners of the globe as they discuss the challenges of coaching during a pandemic, the coaching styles of Gordon Strachan and Mark McGhee, and how a young, inexperienced coach handles the prospect of dealing with older players.

Former Scotland and Celtic defender Stephen McManus is the latest guest on the Scottish Football Coaching Podcast.   The retired centre back joins the podcast team to talk about his successful career, and how he is finding his first steps in management as Celtic Reserves head coach.   During his career, McManus gained 26 caps for Scotland as well as playing more than 100 times for both Celtic and Motherwell in a career spanning 14 years.   Hosts: Lewis Irons & Greig Paterson

Vastly experienced striker Kenny Miller is the latest guest on the Scottish Football Coaching Podcast.   The recently retired goalscorer joins the podcast team to talk about his successful career, and the learnings he can take as he begins his coaching journey.   During his career, Miller gained 69 caps for his country as well as playing for 12 different clubs including Rangers, Celtic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cardiff City and Derby County.

Former St Mirren goalkeeper Craig Samson is the latest guest on the Scottish Football Coaching Podcast.   He played for 13 professional clubs during his career before leaving St Mirren to join Jack Ross’s coaching staff at Sunderland.   Now he is the goalkeeping coach at Rochdale and he joins the podcast to talk about his playing career and his recent learnings as a coach after completing his B Licence with the Scottish FA.

Recent Scottish FA Pro Licence graduate Costinha is the latest guest on the Scottish Football Coaching Podcast.   The former centre-back won the UEFA Cup and Champions League with Porto in consecutive years before collecting a runners-up medal with Portugal at the 2004 Euros. The Scottish FA were extremely fortunate to welcome Nick Cox, Head of Academy at Manchester United to speak with our Pride Lab attendees, Performance School Coaches and Coach Education staff. As part of his recent visit, we were also able to record a podcast with Nick, when he joined Performance Director, Malky Mackay and Head of Coach Education, Greig Paterson as they discussed player and coach development alongside Nick’s own career development with Lewis Irons.
