Aaron Paul is joined by Middlesbrough defender Sol Bamba and Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor The guys discuss the most controversial refereeing decisions they've been on the right and wrong ends of. Sol talks about his comeback from non-hodgkin lymphoma and how the illness has changed his perspective on the little things in football. We find out more about Sol's 17-year career in the game, from the very start at Paris Saint Germain through to his spell at Leeds United under the controversial regime of Massimo Cellini, who once went round to his house in the early hours of the morning to rant about the club's problems. Sol also gives us an insight into what his current manager Neil Warnock is like and answers the all-important question… does Warnock still get naked in front of the players in the dressing room? Lyle tells us what the last week at Forest has been like with the sacking of Chris Hughton and the appointment of Steve Cooper. He talks about Steven Reid's rousing speech before he took charge of their win at Huddersfield and how much he's already learning from Cooper after just a few days in the job. We hear from Derby County manager Wayne Rooney, who says he's committed to staying on as manager at Pride Park after the club entered administration and reveals his disappointment at the ‘disrespect' shown by owner Mel Morris in the handling of the situation. Česká brankářská tradice v Anglii. Proč čeští gólmani na ostrovech bodují?

Angličan

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 21, 2021 65:48

V mládeži Manchesteru United aktuálně působí i další dva čeští brankáři, Ondřej Mastný a Radek Vítek. Liverpool are top of the league after beating Crystal Palace. The boys talk about how Mohamed Salah has improved his overall game this season and the impact having fans back at Anfield is having on Jurgen Klopp's side. Over 53,000 fans were at the Etihad to watch Manchester City have just one shot on target in a goalless draw with Southampton. Did Pep's comments about wanting more supporters to come to the Etihad invite extra pressure on his players? And with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United all looking strong this season, how costly will those dropped points be if they're to defend their Premier League title? On Sunday, injury-hit Tottenham face a Chelsea team that has conceded just one goal in the league this season. Glenn offers his expertise on how best to deal with the threat of Romelu Lukaku. Rafa Benitez suffered his first defeat as Everton manager as they were beaten 3-0 by Aston Villa. Glenn and Nubaid debate Rafa's style of play and what constitutes “entertaining football.” And they reflect on the impact Leon Bailey had, with the Villa winger coming on as a substitute, scoring a goal and grabbing an assist before being brought back off the pitch, in a remarkable 21 minute debut. Zejména lokální investice bohatých ruských oligarchů, jimiž si kromě osobního zviditelnění částečně kupují i místní politiky, byly a zřejmě stále i jsou v Londýně a jinde velmi běžné,“ povzdechl si autor Šťastného pondělí Jindřich Šídlo.Podcast Angličan pochopitelně nezanedbal úvodní kolo nového ročníku Premier League. To přineslo celou řadu emotivních momentů i pohledných branek. Evidentně dokázali přebrat fungující mustr z letního Eura, který doufejme trvale přesadí i do světa Premier League,“ nešetří chválou Mikoláš Tuček.Anglická nejvyšší fotbalová soutěž představila i staronové tváře dlouhodobě zraněných. As an encouraging Derby County display is ruined by a calamitous injury time collapse at Peterborough to throw away three points, Richard, Anton and Tom stew over another galling away defeat under Wayne Rooney. How will the Rams now cope without the injured Colin Kazim-RIchards? Was the defeat at London Road merely a sign of things to come? And which of the quickly-blooded Derby youngsters can we look to to step up in the Rams' threadbare, struggling squad?
