Angelos Marinakis made himself the centre of attention on an action packed weekend of Premier League action, storming onto the pitch at Nottingham Forest's City Ground after late drama saw Nuno Espirito Santo's side drop points against Leicester. Elsewhere, Southampton finally got past Derby County's miserable record of 11 points by drawing against Manchester City, but did the scenes from the club go too far? In other news, Newcastle beat Chelsea to all but secure Champions League football, Arsenal and Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw and there was more misery for Spurs and Man United as they lost again. The Rams are Staying Up! The EFL Championship season for Derby County has come to a close and Derby are staying in the division. This season saw the Rams go for more than two months without picking up a point, a transformation change in the dugout and a change in mentality. The importance of staying the division is not lost on anyone. BBC Radio Derby's Dom Dietrich joins us to talk about season, The Rams survival and the important change of managers that ultimately paid off.

After Liverpool wrapped up the championship last weekend against Spurs, the question coming into Round 35 would be if the fierce Liverpool from the totality of the season would surface or would they take their foot off the gas. As the dust settled on the weekend, and Chelsea were victorious against the Champions, it would indicate that Liverpool took the weekend off. Southampton also failed to cash in on their best opportunity to overtake Derby County's record for least points scored in the Premier League history. Fellow EFL Championship side, Leicester, were 2-0 winners against the EPL'd minnows. Arsenal's defeat against Bournemouth leaves 2nd place wide open for the chasing pack, could Arsenal slip out of the Champion's League qualification spots? Let us know in the comments below. Reaction after Derby County's 0-0 draw at home to Stoke keeps them in the second tier.
With only four games left in their Premier League season, Southampton have the chance to become the joint worst ever team in the history of the top flight of English football. Should Southampton fail to pick up a point in their last four games, they would equal Derby County's dubious performance from the 2007/2008 season. A match against Leicester might represent their best opportunity to get a point, as fellow relegated club Leicester are on a terrible run of form. Elsewhere, Champion's Liverpool travel tot he capitol to face Chelsea while West Ham and Spurs face off from the London Stadium. The latest instalment of the Merseyside derby didn't fail to entertain as James Tarkowski escaped a red card before Diogo Jota settled proceedings with the only goal of the game to move the Reds closer to the Premier League title. Arsenal won on Tuesday night to momentarily pressure Arne Slot's side, but it wasn't enough to cause the Slot machine to malfunction. Elsewhere, a Sandro Tonali unintentional screamer earned Newcastle a win over Brentford, leaving the Geordies in charge of the race for the top four, having played a game less than 4th placed Man City. And finally, Southampton moved within a point of finally matching Derby County's humiliating 11-point haul with a draw at home to Crystal Palace. We're bringing you an exclusive, unedited interview from our CityStories series, only on City+. We're going back to 1991 when a red card for goalkeeper Tony Coton meant striker Niall Quinn was forced to take his place. Up against Derby County who were on the brink of relegation, fan favourite Quinn had already scored an exquisite left-footed volley to give us the lead. However, Derby's Dean Saunders was soon through on goal before Coton was deemed to have brought him down. With our No.1 given his marching orders and no substitute goalkeeper, Quinn took Coton's shirt and gloves. The Ireland international's first duty between the sticks was to face up to the resulting penalty. Incredibly, he saved the shot at full stretch to turn it behind for a corner. It inspired us to a victory on the day and even went some way to earning Quinn the Player of the Year award for that season! We sat with Niall to look back at this incredible moment, his time at The Club and hear his goalkeeping experience before going between the sticks for City. Learn more about your ad choices.
