Our second podcast of the series, discussing and comparing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) and Careers-related Programme (CP) in the Sixth Form at St Leonards.  In this episode, Mr Ben Seymour is joined by Year 13 pupils Izzie, Katie and Elisenda, as they discuss the International Baccalaureate Programme, and the differences between the Diploma Programme and Careers-related Programme.

Continuing our series of IBCP podcasts, we now hear thoughts and reflections from some current pupils.

We are thrilled to get the Spotlight podcast going again, we were joined by four current CP parents sharing their insights and reflections.

Mr Andy Durward (Deputy Head - wellbeing) and Mrs Dawn Pemberton (Senior Deputy Head) sit down to reflect on the Spring Term. They provide an update regarding the impact of Covid-19, what action has been taken so far and what our plans are moving forward. Lauren Hastie, our Head Girl, also joins us to share the student perspective.

Our departing Head Girl and Head Boy, Emma Rubidge and Ruaridh Angus, sit down with Mr Durward and Mrs Pemberton to reflect on their year in post and share some insights.

In this episode we will be discussing university applications and in particular the UCAS process. Mr Durward is joined by Mrs Pemberton-Hislop, Mr Seymour and former St Leonards student Lauren Sandeman. Lauren is currently working in the St Andrews University admissions team and has experience of applying to Uni and also overseeing the process for others.

This episode is focused on the topic of Climate Change. Mr Durward is joined in this episode by three Year 6 pupils; Maya, Emily and Sal and four Year 12 pupils; Johanna, Peter, Kathryn and Sreeridhi. The pupils are running a number of initiatives around the climate change topic and wished to share their messages to as many as possible. Andy Durward sits down with Katie Ferguson (Respect Me Service Director) and Lisa Armstrong (Respect Me Trainer) to discuss Anti Bullying and the role of Respect Me, Scotland's anti-bullying service. Andy Durward sits down with Dawn Pemberton-Hislop (Deputy Head Academic) and Paula Prudencio-Aponte (BTEC Business teacher) to discuss the BTEC courses offered at St Leonards. Also joining the conversation are Tom Glen and Matthew Forrest, two Y12 pupils who are currently on the BTEC Business course, sharing their experiences.

As our Y12 students ready themselves to start their Extended Essay, Ben Seymour (IB Co-ordinator) chats with Andy Durward about what it is and what it involves. At the end of the episode we chat with our Deputy Head Girl, Hannah Cooney, about her experiences having completed her Extended Essay.
