For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

Isaiah 53:1-3 NIV Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

We are often asked what makes a youth homeless. The story is never the same, but you will find in Caleb’s story a sample of the catastrophe and tragedy that haunts almost every story of homelessness. I also want you to know that the story is Caleb’s but the voice is not. Caleb disappeared after writing his story. The battle for sobriety is Caleb’s story today. As you hear both the loss and hope in his story, we invite you to pray with us for Caleb this Christmas and anticipate his return soon.

“Remember not everyone has had the same upbringing as you. We have seen and done things unimaginable to most.” Part 2 of Gage's story brings us to the present day. Gage offers his view on why youth become homeless and personal suggestions for helping others youth discover hope.

We launch our first story with the life of Gage Foley. Gage's life starts with abuse in the home that led to self-abuse. Throughout the retelling of his story, Gage offers his own candid commentary on life at home and the rapid descent into addiction.

Daniel, the host of Street Lives, shares briefly about The Coffee Oasis and the motivation for starting a podcast.
