I wrote a blog one year to the day on this topic: “A wise king never seeks out war, but he must always be ready for it.” It popped into my mind while I was listening to something and I felt compelled to share the message on its anniversary. My question to you…are you preparing?
Small steps made over long periods add up, and they can add up BIG TIME. Some days it can feel like zero progress is made and others you can be on the moon. It's about the full picture that matters.
“I can't.” Or “I don't have what it takes.” My last set in the limiting beliefs discussion. Who's done this one???
We all have it, we just have to know how to harness it. Fear can be a big driver in our lives or put us to a complete stop. Let' stake a few minutes today and go over how.
We've all heard it…hell, we've all said it. “I don't have the time.” Spoiler - You do. This is known as a limiting belief, so let's start tackling what they are and how the affect you with one of my favorites.
Success has layers, it's not just one big generality. I like to look at this way because it allows me to put focus on areas that may be lacking while others are off the charts. Want to know what I mean? Listen up.
Let's wrap this puppy up…Why the 6 human needs are important and what your driving force means. In 3..2..1..go!
Today is the final piece in the 6 human needs conversation - Contribution. Y'all…we were made to contribute to the world. Our time, or money, our ideas, are all a piece of this.
Let's grow baby! We all need it, we all strive for it in one way or another…I'm talkin' bout G.R.O.W.T.H.
We all need love and connection. Today's discussion is on just that. Let's dive in.
The third piece of the 6 basic Human Needs is Significance. I feel like I went kinda deep on this one. Is recognition lacking in your life? Do you recognize others? It may be what is needed to bring some significance into your world.
Though it's important to understand the beauty of uncertainty, those who experience this as one of their top basic human needs can take it to an extreme. They engage in frequent job or relationship changes for the sake of variety, or take unnecessary risks to achieve the adrenaline jolt they crave. However, if uncertainty is one of your top 6 human needs, you will be unafraid of taking risks and will not avoid new situations or people.
There are 6 basic need me in our lives…did you know that? Today, let's go over the first - Certainty
We are always selling, whether you want to believe it or not. This episode is on selling to ourselves and internal objection buffering and how to get past the that little voice in your head that's holding you back.
Today let's chat about how objections induce the painful feeling of rejection, how we can overcome them, and how it applies to daily life.
I wanted to kick off a new season with daily motivations and insights into life. Today I discuss objections and being rejected and how to face them.
In episode 12, I discuss what's it's like having two boys and the reality that is parenting that I feel no one wants to talk about. I also dive into what the future of this podcast looks like with some thoughts and feelings about the change.

Baby number 2 made it into our lives about 6 weeks ago! What a whirlwind it's been. I'm finally getting a handle on things, and some of my more active interests, like this podcast, have been put on the back burner. This episode outlines the struggles of adding a new child to mix and how I'm personally dealing with it. It was an off the cuff recording that happened in my truck, so I'll have to apologize for the audio in advance. I didn't want to re-record bc I felt the same message wouldn't have been delivered in the way it was. Another piece of the health web that is OFTEN over looked is sleep. In this episode I dive into why we need to make sleep a priority and some steps you can take TODAY to start get longer, restful sleep.
We introduced a challenge at the gym (Grapevine CrossFit) that had the nutrition plan that we generally start all new nutrition clients with as part of the requirement. This foundation is so "simple" that it doesn't get the attention it really deserves. This is proven by the results of both the people that have stuck with it in the past and the ones that are holding strong on our challenge. We are 51 days in as of this post and the results speak for themselves. If you need some help or a starting point in getting your diet together, take a listen. I'll be posting some resources to aid in this baseline start over at www.brandonhead.com if you need them.
Too often in our lives we hold onto stuff that we simply need to let go of. Grudges, pain, conflicts, arguments, resentments, are all examples of what I'm talking about. In this episode I discuss the process of letting go in relation to my own life and the positive impact it can have on your life.
We all have a story. We all have a moment where that story starts. We all have a moment where we decide what we choose to do in that story. In this episode I talk about my story, my defined pivot point, and everything that led up to that moment. I also discuss how to utilize that moment and what it has meant to me. Utilize your story to help create the life you want. Find that defining moment within your story to set you in a new direction.
In this episode I discuss how fitness can be a huge catalyst for change in your life and some of the ways this has been proven over the years. Though the steps are different for everyone, starting to get fit is what leads into changes in other areas of your life if you allow it. Let's dive in on some truths about this thought!
Not having a plan to when you're trying to accomplish something will often times end up in failure. In this episode, I discuss the need for planning in relation to something that popped up in discussion. Hope you enjoy!
