People ask, "How do you decide on your guests?" My response is whomever wants to be interviewed. Luckily for me Marina was interested and also tells a story of hard work and ambition. Very rarely has she been handed answers or opportunities. Life as a freelance employee can be mentally and physically tasking and Marina does an excellent job of maximizing each opportunity she finds.

Harley like many other boys growing up fantasize about making it to the big leagues. Harley even stood a fair chance but took the collegiate route. After a long arduous decision, he decided to hang up the cleats and mitt upon graduation. He was then stuck as a crossroads of what to do next. He decided to test the waters of the entertainment industry, which both of his parents had done before him. He is quick to admit that the success and connections of his father have played a roll in the advancement of his career. Harley's humbling attitude shows that your network is important, but how you handle your network is more important.

Music industry success doesn't come easy, but imagine if you were doing it with half your band in another country. Roméo and Linden are doing just that. Roméo is the vocalist of the duo FARR, recording here in LA while Linden produces from Britain. Linden also specializes in drumming among several other instruments. FARR has seen early success on spotify with totaling over 2 million streams of their song Blades. I can't wait to see what the future holds for the duo as the sky is the limit for them.

Did she get kicked out of middle school? Maybe. Did she get removed from high school by her parents? Possibly. Did she drop out of USC after getting an internship with Funny or Die? Perhaps. And did she finish her two year program at the Stella Adler Studios? Probably not. But the great news is that none of these are indicative of her comedic timing and acting abilities. Amanda is currently enrolled in the Groundlings and I believe she has what it takes to achieve stardom. As someone who finds it difficult to be confined to a syllabus and a classroom the entertainment industry was made for her.

The tried and true way of making it in entertainment is through the talent agency route. Some plan to follow this route to become an agent or even a head studio exect. Not Sara. She still hopes to go the producing route but on a much more intimate setting. Maybe it was her background working for Sundance Institute and the Newport Beach Film Festival. Or maybe it was the film classes she took in highschool that gave her full creative control. Whatever the reason, Sara is now tackling the agency world but unlike most, she plans to help tell the stories that don't make it through the studio system.

Sometimes succeding in this industry doesn't require a formula or a beaten path. Sometimes things fall into place, but that doesn't come without a little preparation. Luckily, Nate has a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to life to seize every opportunity to come his way. From working with Kobe Bryant's media company, to being in the inaugural class of the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy within USC, his mind is constantly moving to what it is that he can do next.

From owning a restaurant in Taiwan to sleeping in the massage bed of a Planet Fitness in New York, Brendan is one of the most open minded people I have met. I don't dare use the words "Yes Man" because he is much more than that. Better late than never...Rob is finishing up his degree so that he can begin his storied career as an experiential marketing producer. Despite getting his degree later on in life, Rob hasn't been, for lack of a better term, fucking around. He spent his early life practicing the arts as a thespian and continues to do so today. Just because he is pivoting in a new direction doesn't mean he is leaving the acting path entirely. If anything, Rob's strong leadership qualities will help both flourish and allow for the two professions to become symbiotic.

Where does the scope of the entertainment industry end? We believe that is up to one's interpretation. Pauline Cronin started as a rising star in the infamous assistant position in Entertainment. One thing led to another and she is now in a senior coordinator position at Verb., an experiential marketing agency which I still define as in the "Industry." There is no coincidence that Pauline has excelled as her work ethic is unprecedented and her ability to be a cohesive element in any work environment. Each year over 70,000 people attend the Sundance Film Festival. Gavin Allen is responsible for producing one of the biggest activations and flagship locations during the festival, the Sundance TV Headquarters. Gavin is now the Executive Producer of the HQ in his ninth year and acts as a freelance producer for other events nationwide throughout the year. Although Gavin was a late bloomer when it came to college we wasted no time after that before getting his career started in live entertainment.
