TGIF and also for this podcast. On this week's episode Tara and Tobi dissect the R.Kelly interview that has everyone saying WTF. Gayle King's top class skills and R. Kelly's girlfriends. Despite the jokes and memes we also get down to why we struggle with letting "heroes" go, the problematic nature of enablers and how this translates to Micheal Jackson and the recent attention on him and his legacy. In the Out of Pocket segment Tobi gives Tara free reign as she calls out the use of black women as props, being adjacent to blackness and the problematic expectation of women and makeup.
Tobi went away to Colombia and came back to the messiest Black History Month in a while. On this week's episode, Tara and Tobi recap the month, from Italian Racist Man Becomes Less Racist winning Best Picture, peak-Brampton man Tristan Thompson reducing Khloe to Tumblr-esque IG stories, Gucci's $900 gentrification of blackface and of course, they had to go in on Jussie Smollett's poor casting choice. On this episode, Tobi and Tara celebrate Black History Month with all things Black. They're loving Trigger Warning with Killer Mike and the first episode had them all for buying Black. But they wonder, why is it so difficult in Toronto? Plus, post-Superbowl they discuss Black responsibility. But before they can get to the good stuff they gotta get through the white nonsense. Specifically, Arianna Grande...again. A lightning round Out of Pocket has Tobi speaking up about 21 Savage's arrest while Tara tackles the stupidity of men being in charge of women's bodies.

Prayers up to Jussie Smollett.

Callie and Mariana's rude awakening to 20-something life has T & T reflecting on their 20s, and if it's going as planned. There's no holding back while discussing Surviving R. Kelly and the impact of dangerous rhetoric. Lastly, they officially put Drake on watch after creepy footage from a recent concert. To leave on a happy note, they gush about the things they're excited for and what's sparking joy in their lives. Content warning: R. Kelly, predators, abuse, sex trafficking.
