This week we are going to meet 2 more Kings of Israel, Rehoboam and Jeroboam. Rehoboam was Solomon's son who would rule only one of the tribes of Israel as a result of his father heart being turned away from God. Jeroboam was Solomon's servant who would rule the remaining 10 tribes. Although Jeroboam would rule 10 tribes, he too would betray God and cause the people to sin by serving other gods, and for many generations after, other kings who committed evil acts would be compared to him, but none else would be said to have committed acts as evil as Jeroboam.
