In this episode, we sit down with Andrew Pantelides and Gary Percy from Telesteps to discuss the next evolution of climbing safety. While traditional fiberglass ladders have been the industry standard for decades, Telesteps is disrupting the market with their patented, DuPont Kevlar non-conductive telescoping ladders. Engineered for use near energized electrical systems, these ladders are 25–30 lbs lighter than traditional models and compact enough to fit in the back of a small van. We dive into the history of the company—from manufacturing aircraft-grade aluminum tools for the U.S. Military to using the same ballistic materials found in NASA's Artemis II shield. Learn how these precision tools are improving ergonomics for fleet professionals and why "big when you need it, small when you don't" is the future of utility safety. Learn more about their full range of products at: https://telestepsladders.com Key Takeaways The Kevlar Advantage: Unlike fiberglass, which can dry out and fracture over time, Telesteps' DuPont Kevlar ladders are ballistic-grade, non-conductive, and built to withstand extreme weather and heavy use. Revolutionary Portability: These ladders retract to under 30 inches, allowing utility crews to downsize their vehicles and save on fuel costs without sacrificing reach. Safety First Engineering: Equipped with safety indicator windows that show when the rungs are locked, a "One-Touch" slow-close release to prevent pinched fingers, and pivoting silicone feet for a sure grip on any surface. High Load Capacity: The Kevlar A-frame model holds a Type 1AA duty rating of 375 lbs, while the extension models meet Type 1A (300 lbs) standards, surpassing OSHA requirements. Built for Longevity: With a claim rate of only 0.01%, these ladders are designed to be "the last ladder a company buys" if maintained properly. #UtilitySafety #ElectricalSafety #Telesteps #KevlarLadder #JobsiteSafety Subscribe to Incident Prevention Magazine - https://incident-prevention.com/subscribe-now/ Register for the iP Utility Safety Conference & Expo - https://utilitysafetyconference.com/ _______________________________ This podcast is sponsored by T&D Powerskills. Melissa Errico is a Tony-nominated actress, singer, recording artist, and writer. She is known for her iconic Broadway musical roles such as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and the title role in One Touch of Venus. She is also recognized from her roles on TV series such as Billions, The Jim Gaffigan Show, Blue Bloods, The Good Wife, Law & Order, A Gifted Man, Ed, and Miss Match opposite Alicia Silverstone. It's Easter Sunday! Pastor Chris shared a powerful message about stepping out of the crowd to encounter Jesus personally. Life is often marked by pain, struggle, and seasons where nothing seems to get better, as seen in the woman who suffered for twelve years. But Easter reminds us that through Jesus' death and resurrection, sin is defeated, death is conquered, and even the hardest situations are not beyond His power—so one touch of faith can change everything. In that moment, she was not only healed but also seen, known, and loved, revealing the heart of the gospel: that Jesus meets us in our brokenness and brings restoration and new life.
Tom Logue - March 15th 2025 Desperation gets God's attention—because Jesus is deeply compassionate and powerful to heal. This week, Tom continues our King & His Kingdom series in Matthew 20:29–34, where Jesus encounters two blind men sitting along the road as He leaves Jericho on His way to Jerusalem. These men—beggars and social outcasts—cry out repeatedly, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!” Even when the crowd tries to silence them, their desperation only grows louder. Their story reveals a powerful truth: even imperfect faith, when placed in Jesus, can bring us into contact with His grace. Tom contrasts the desperate faith of the blind men with the crowd following Jesus. While the blind men cry out for mercy in their affliction, the crowd attempts to quiet them. It's a reminder that followers of Jesus aren't perfect—sometimes we get in the way of what God wants to do. Instead of silencing desperation, Tom challenges the church to support it, recognizing that many people among us are carrying deep afflictions and need the freedom to cry out to God. The sermon presses into an uncomfortable reality: when we face pain or unmet needs, we often try to hide our afflictions or medicate them—through distraction, entertainment, substances, or busyness—instead of bringing them honestly to Jesus. The blind men model a better response. They refuse to stay silent and cry out for mercy until Jesus stops. And when He does, the text says He is moved with compassion, a deep gut-level response that leads Him to act. Jesus touches their eyes, heals them, and immediately they follow Him. Tom closes with a defining statement about what it means to be a Christian: followers of Jesus are people who have been touched by Jesus. They're not just people who believe certain ideas about Him—they're people whose lives have been changed by His mercy and who now follow Him because they've experienced His grace. The invitation of this message is simple and powerful: bring your afflictions to Jesus. Cry out for mercy. He is compassionate, He is King, and one touch from Him can change everything. Have you ever felt like you were the problem in every room you walked into? Pastor Chris Lodriguss explores the desperate, 12 year journey of the woman with the issue of blood and the radical faith it took for her to crawl through a crowd just to reach the hem of Jesus' garment. This message breaks down the heavy cultural and religious isolation she faced and contrasts the difference between "bumping into" Jesus versus "touching" Him with intentionality. Pastor Chris also shares a raw, personal testimony of his own encounter with the power of God in 2005 while he was actively running away from the church. Have you ever had a "Just One Touch" moment? Tell us your story in the comments.Smash the like button if you believe that no pit is too deep for Jesus to reach you.
Day 10 — Mark 5:21–34 She didn't have a name in the crowd—but Jesus stopped for her. In Day 10 of 40 Days in Mark, a desperate woman reaches for the edge of Jesus' robe and finds more than healing—she finds restoration. Amid urgency and interruption, Jesus pauses to call her daughter. If you've ever felt invisible, ashamed, or barely holding on in faith, this episode is for you. One chapter. One day. One step with Jesus.
We often miss the cultural aspect of the Scriptures by reading it through a Western lens. Understanding the laws of the day toward this woman with the issue of blood, and seeing the prophetic meaning behind touching the hem of Jesus garment, makes this beautiful story even more powerful!

Former NFL player and sports analyst Mike Golic joins diabetes education specialist Hope Warshaw to share his personal journey with type 2 diabetes and why he's passionate about the TalkingTypeU campaign. Diagnosed approximately 10 years after retiring from professional football, Golic had to completely reimagine his relationship with food and fitness. After years of eating whatever he wanted as an athlete and knowing he could work it off, retirement brought a stark reality check—especially with a family history of diabetes through his father. Rather than viewing his diagnosis as a setback, Golic approached it the way he approached sports: by building a team. He enlisted his doctor as his coach, his wife as his teammate, and leveraged modern technology including OneTouch glucose meters integrated with programs like Fitbit, Noom, WellDoc, and Cecilia Health to track his progress and receive personalized guidance. The conversation illuminates a crucial fact many people don't know: type 2 diabetes often presents without the warning signs associated with type 1, making regular health screenings essential for early detection. Warshaw emphasizes that with 34 million Americans living with type 2 diabetes—enough to fill 485 football stadiums—everyone's journey is different, requiring personalized action plans that evolve over time. Golic lives by an 85-15 rule, maintaining healthy habits 85% of the time while allowing himself occasional indulgences, then using his technology platforms to understand how to get back on track. Both guests stress that the key to success isn't willpower alone but rather assembling a support system of family, friends, healthcare professionals, and the right tools. For former athletes facing weight gain and health challenges after retirement, and for anyone navigating a diabetes diagnosis, the message is clear: you don't have to do this alone, and with the right team around you, diabetes is a manageable condition rather than a life sentence.

Today's poem–a layered, jokingly-serious response to one of last week's–comes from Ogden Nash, dubbed the ‘Laurate of Light Verse.' Which banner would you rally under–Nash or Byron? One of the most widely appreciated and imitated writers of light verse, Frediric Ogden Nash was born in Rye, New York, on August 19, 1902, to Edmund Strudwick and Mattie Nash. He came from a distinguished family; the city of Nashville, Tennessee, was named in honor of one of his forbearers. Nash attended Harvard College, but dropped out after only one year. He worked briefly on Wall Street, and as a schoolteacher, before becoming a copywriter. In 1925, he took a job in the marketing department with the publishing house Doubleday.Nash's first published poems began to appear in the New Yorker around 1930. His first collection of poems, Hard Lines (Simon & Schuster), was published in 1931. The book was a tremendous success; it went into seven printings in its first year alone, and Nash quit his job with Doubleday. That same year, he married Frances Rider Leonard; they had two children. Nash worked briefly for the New Yorker in 1932, before deciding to devote himself full-time to his verse.Nash considered himself a "worsifier." Among his best known lines are "Candy / Is dandy, / But liquor / Is quicker" and "If called by a panther / Don't anther." His poems also had an intensely anti-establishment quality that resounded with many Americans, particularly during the Depression. Nash was a keen observer of American social life, and frequently mocked religious moralizing and conservative politicians. His work is often compared with other satirists of the time, including Dorothy Parker, Robert Benchley, and H. L. Mencken. He appeared regularly on radio and on television, and he drew huge audiences for his readings and lectures.Nash was also the author of three screenplays for MGM, and with S. J. Perelmen, he wrote the 1943 Broadway hit One Touch of Venus. In the 1950s, Nash focused on writing poems for children, including the collection Girls Are Silly (Franklin Watts, 1962). He died on May 19, 1971.-bio via Academy of American Poets Get full access to The Daily Poem Podcast at dailypoempod.substack.com/subscribe
