In celebration of 10 years of VibeRide, this mix is a rebooted and improved version of my very first show released back in the summer of 2009, which featured genuine foot-stomping classics from Cameo, Stevie Wonder, The Commodores, Con Funk Shun, Luther Vandross, Roy Ayers, Prince, The Gap Band and Maceo Parker. It all began with these tracks and here we are a decade later still riding that funk vibe! It's been a while since I put out a special mix, so here's one that's long overdue - a Commodores special. The band that launched the career of legendary singer/song writer Lionel Richie were, first and foremost, a great funk outfit and so for me deserve to be considered funk royalty. This mix features 16 of the Commodores' funkiest cuts mixed for your listening pleasure.
