In the personal development world, when we think of this idea of "becoming our best self" and leveling up our minds and lives, it sounds so sexy. BUT, there's a side of this work that causes our minds and bodies to actually freak out in a way that makes us really f*cking uncomfortable. And when we feel that way, it's easy to think that we're just doing this whole thing wrong. The discomfort of stagnation - When we start to "wake up" to what we want in life, but actively choose to not do anything about it. Ever feel like you KNOW you need to do something that's going to get you closer to your goals (or just make you happy in general), but you find yourself getting distracted by everything else so you continue to put that thing off? And then you feel guilty for putting that thing off because you know you're not making any progress day in and day out? A lot of people get stuck in this stage because we like to stick to our normal routines, but we'll discuss how to finally get you to start taking some action..2. Discomfort of actually taking action towards goals that scare you. - For most of us, it's actually EASIER to stay stuck where we are, because the idea of working towards a dream and potentially failing is well..terrifying. We'll break down this stage into two parts; the stage where you're acting on faith and haven't seen any real changes in your life yet (and how to keep going) and what to do when you actually start manifesting some big things into your life (and how to not freak out when that happens). Just know, this journey to step into the highest version of you can feel really uncomfortable, but it's so f*cking worth it on the other side. Around 2 years ago I hit an emotional rock bottom. I woke up and didn't know, like, or love myself one f*cking ounce. I had to make a choice..continue to live life while my soul was slowly dying, or figure out who the f*ck I was, and what the f*ck was going to make me happy. Fast forward to today..I'm not perfect, but I definitely walk around feeling like that b*tch most of the time. I can honestly say I love myself more than I ever have, and whew, that feels a hell of a lot better than the hate I once had every time I looked in the mirror.
