In this episode, we to Dr. Belo Miguel Cipriani about his work as a digital inclusion strategist, author, and teacher, and why he chose the guide dog lifestyle.
Matthew Layton and Sam Rickard present Studio 1 - Vision Australia Radio's weekly look at life from a low vision and blind point of view. This week… We head Stateside to talk to author, publisher and equal rights activist Belo Miguel Cipriani. In his early twenties, Belo moved to San Francisco where he thrived both professionally and socially. Until one night, out of the blue, where he was set upon by group of men, who kicked him in the head so violently so many times his retinas became detached and he was left blind. Where many of us would have curled up in a ball after such a life-shattering event, if anything, Belo became more driven. He's now an author, a digital accessibility consultant/advocate and a publisher - specialising in helping authors with disabilities to make their voices heard.
