Núñez de Arenas, also known as From Hell or Inmoralia, is a Madrid-born DJ, vocalist, promoter, and music journalist with over 25 years of experience in music. Her journey began in the early 2000s as journalist and she has interviewed artists like Pet Shop Boys, Trentemøller, DJ Hell, Anthony Rother, Stacey Pullen. In 2007, she made her debut behind the decks, quickly establishing herself in Madrid's electronic scene with sets at iconic venues like Stardust, Siroco, La Boite, and Specka. Her passion for raw, genre-defying sounds led her to Berlin in 2012, where she found a second home in clubs such as KitKat, Urban Spree, Kater Holzig, Golden Gate, Brunnen70,and Sameheads. After a few years in Barcelona,Ruth returned to Berlin, where she is currently based. Her sets are emotionally rich journeys that traverse cold wave, EBM, electro, dark disco and techno, always deeply rooted in vinyl culture. As a promoter, she has worked with artists such as Client (UK), Light Asylum (USA), Le Syndicat Electronique (France), Mueran Humanos (Argentina), festivals as Ombra, and curated the live programming for Asymmetrical Club in Barcelona. Through Mots Music, she continues supporting the underground artists and experimental sounds, not only as music media, just also as her own label, founded in 2025. Belgian psychedelic post-metal masters Psychonaut return with their triumphant new album World Maker, released 24th October via Pelagic Records. This record takes the form of life lessons for guitarist/vocalist Stefan De Graef son, who at the time of album writing, learned he was to be a father. There's very little as life changing as that, and although misery would follow not long after the birth of De Graef's son as the devastating news that both his own father and Psychonaut bassist/vocalist Thomas Michiels' father had been diagnosed with advanced cancers, the record is still focused on the positive experience of becoming a dad. It doesn't matter if you can relate or not, you'll be able to understand the feeling in this record, regardless. Psychonaut may never make an album quite like this again, that is how unique an effort it is, but long-term fans won't be turned off by it either as so much of what makes them who they are is present. It's the most contemporary the band has sounded, and with that, comes something truly unforgettable. She also sang with one of Princeton's a cappella groups, and the experience inspired her to carve out an innovative niche as a vocalist in the world of auditory art. Right now, she's on a tour of 60 shows through all 50 states, and she has a new album out, titled “Tulpa.” Lee agreed to come on the PAWcast and discuss how and why she creates her art — and share some of it as well.

Vocalist, songwriter and Grammy Award-winning artist Mike Farris is on the show today. Mike has this incredible new record out called “The Sound Of Muscle Shoals” that he recorded at the legendary Fame Studios with Rodney Hall (the son of Fame founder Rick Hall - the guy who is largely responsible for creating the Muscle Shoals sound that we all know and love). Mike has had an incredible career, from his early days in the insanely wild and high energy band The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, Mike honed his skills as an incredible frontman and vocalist, but as we talk about today, he feels like he never really learned to sing until he started making solo records in 2001. Since that time, Mike has continued to evolve as an incredible singer whose voice and delivery pull from soul, gospel, country and rock n roll - and all of them very convincingly, as only someone who has truly lived the life can. His 2014 album “Shine For All The People” won a Grammy award, and Mike has been consistently recording and touring the world for decades. I wanted to hear from Mike about his songwriting, how he captures his voice in the studio, how his travels (which include some incredibly rocky patches) have brought him to where he is today, and how he feels like a bit of a misfit in a world where people love to peg musicians under a certain style.
