Original Post: Back when the podcast first began every tenth episode or so I would put out a pod-safe music compilation called the Music Spectacular. I really enjoyed putting together these episodes, and I must admit they are some of my favorites. I still listen to many of these songs today. Someday I would love to do episodes like these again. I would just need to find new sources of pod-safe music. Mevio, the place I use to get these tunes, closed its doors years ago. Feeling a bit nostalgic and just for fun I put together a playlist of some of these favorite episodes. There are 10 Music Spectacular episodes plus 3 bonus holiday episodes. Download Playlist: or Show notes for each episode: I hope you enjoy this music as much as I do. And thank you for listening to the Blog Oklahoma Podcast. PS: If you would like to listen to some of this music on Spotify, check out . Also you might find many of these tracks on . NEW EPISODES OF THE BLOG OKLAHOMA PODCAST OUT SOON

Hello everyone. Kevin here. Just wanted to pop up quickly to let you know the Blog Oklahoma Podcast will return next week with an all new episode. I am attempting to get back into a weekly schedule again. Last week was a little different, Donna had a rare weekend off so we took advantage of it. I was working on two new Oklahoma history episodes, until the big news dropped that the House of Representatives has officially begun against President Trump. So I've dropped everything and began reading up on this for a new impeachment episode. Last year I did an episode on , but I mostly focused on the Oklahoma history side of things when our state removed two sitting Governors. I thought I would be done for an episode this week, but new things about all of this just keep rolling out. So I'm going to delay one more week to see what happens next and present what we've learned so far in an episode next week. This is an interesting time we are living in. To say the least. We'll I've got to get busy, I've got some reading to do. Until Next Time.

Not exactly taking it easy while the Blog Oklahoma Podcast is on hiatus. Here's a short vlog from Sunday, July 9, 2017. I spent the afternoon working on the kitchen. I'm happy to announce the Blog Oklahoma Podcast has won for best podcast in the 2009 Okie Blog Awards. Thank you very much for this honor. The podcast was up against some stiff competition, but in the end I'm guessing my forty listeners rallied to put the podcast over the top. Now this has gotten me thinking, there has to be more than 10 active podcasts here in the state. So over the next few weeks I'm going to explore the Oklahoma pod-o-sphere, and whatever I find I'll let you know know about it. Again thank you to everyone for voting for the Blog Oklahoma Podcast. Did ya ever have one of those days that started off great but then just fell apart? I was hoping to get an early start with the podcast today, but that just didn't work out. My home router has started to act up, and I've spent most the day trying to get it reconfigured so I can be online. I'm afraid it's time to buy a new one, but that's just going to have to wait for another time because I'm on a deadline today. It's Super Bowl Sunday, and I'm planning to spend the evening eating hot wings and watching some football. So what to do? I think it's about time for another Music Spectacular. Where we look back to some of the best music played here on the Blog Oklahoma Podcast over the last few episodes. So sit back and enjoy. And I'll be back next time with an all new episode, as soon as I get this stupid router fixed. Links mentioned in this episode: Music:

This is a new podcast I'm developing, to share our experiences in searching out Oklahoma's historic monuments and places. This will be part of BlogOklahoma.us, a blog and historic places database dedicated to Exploring Oklahoma's History. This new podcast will be hosted at Libysn along with the Blog Oklahoma Podcast, and will share the same feed. I will be setting up separate feeds for all the podcasts a little later. So I hope you enjoy this first episode of Exploring Oklahoma History. Look for it to drop into the feed late Sunday, April 12th, 2009.
I started preparing this week's podcast with something funny, but ended up a on a short rant about social networking data overload, which you'll find in the second half of the program. Every once in a while just have to rant. You read something in news, that just sets off that part of your brain forces you to comment on it. And I did. I think ranting is good every once in while. In fact I'm going to encourage you to rant on something this week. If you don't have your own podcast or radio talk show, get an Utterli account. It's free. You call a phone number and rant away. Other people will hear your rant and they'll comment or rant about themselves. Start a chain reaction rant. So your goal this week dear Blog Oklahoma Podcast listener, go rant about something. Get it off your chest. But be nice about it. In the News: Some of the latest headlines from the Oklahoma blog-o-sphere and (Bum Bum Buuuum) the main stream media. Greetings everyone and welcome to the 10th episode of the Blog Oklahoma Podcast. Wow 10 episodes. I realize in the scope of the pod-o-sphere, my little podcast about life in Oklahoma is barely a drop in the bucket. But I'm happy about it. To me 10 episodes is quite an achievement for someone sitting in the corner of a guest bedroom using a USB Headset microphone, recording with Audacity, and constantly being interrupted by firetrucks, barking dogs, and a cat named Baby. Blog Oklahoma Podcast 6: MidwayThis is the part of the podcast where I give you an opening topic, but today I can't think of what to say.
