Encore Presentation of October 22, 2025
HOUR 1 from 10-9-25 Is America's Health Care System Beyond Repair—Or Finally Waking Up? This hour starts with a shocking twist: President Trump praises Pfizer's CEO, Albert Bourla, as a hero of the pandemic. But Dr. Kelly Victory isn't clapping—she's appalled. Has Big Pharma really changed, or just rebranded? Why is Pfizer being celebrated while other companies are vilified? And who's really advising Trump behind the scenes—Robert F. Kennedy Jr., or someone far less transparent? From there, the conversation widens to the tangled world of everyday medicine. Why is Tylenol suddenly under attack while Pfizer is redeemed? Dr. Kelly and Steve House expose the confusion that plagues American consumers—people who don't know the difference between ibuprofen and acetaminophen or realize they're doubling up on cold meds that can destroy their liver. It's not just ignorance—it's a symptom of a system designed to keep you dependent. Could the solution really be as simple as having a “cold care kit” at home and reclaiming control over your own health? Then the gloves come off. Dr. Kelly recounts how, during COVID, pharmacists refused to fill legitimate prescriptions for ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine—how politics, not science, decided who got treatment. That moment, she says, changed everything. It inspired a movement toward medical freedom—giving Americans controlled access to the tools they need, from antibiotics to antivirals, without bureaucratic roadblocks. But is that freedom possible in a country where Big Pharma profits from restriction and the insurance industry rewards dependence? By the end, the conversation becomes a powerful reckoning. Dr. Kelly and Steve House dismantle the myth of “health insurance,” calling it what it's become—a bloated system of corporate control and racketeering. Why do drug prices soar 12% while technology gets cheaper every year? Why do pharmacists and middlemen profit while patients suffer? And what will it take to rebuild a system that actually serves people instead of power? If you've ever wondered who really controls American health care—or whether we can take it back—this is the conversation you can't afford to miss. HOUR 2 From 10-23-25 Inside the Lies That Shaped a Generation: Fear, Control, and COVID. What if everything you were told about COVID—and vaccines—was only half the story? In this explosive episode of Rush to Reason, John Rush and Dr. Kelly Victory expose the hidden side of public health, fear, and control. Were we misled about the real risks to children? Could “long COVID” actually be masking something else entirely? With 35 years of medical experience, Dr. Kelly reveals what she calls the “silent fallout” of lockdowns, mandates, and mass vaccination. She questions why hospitals inflated death counts, why key studies were buried, and how Big Pharma's influence reaches from Washington to the nightly news. If vaccines were truly beyond reproach, wouldn't the CDC and medical centers be eager to prove it? From the hepatitis B shot given to newborns to the suppressed An Inconvenient Study, this conversation dares to ask what mainstream media won't. Who can you trust when truth-tellers risk everything to speak out?

Struggling with low moods, especially as the days get darker? Wondering if moving your body could actually improve your mental health more than medication? In this encore episode of the “Better Than Fine” podcast, host Darlene Marshall —personal trainer, wellness coach, and positive psychology practitioner—dives headfirst into the science connecting physical activity to depression, anxiety, and psychological distress. You'll hear the surprising truth behind recent headlines claiming, “exercise is 1.5x more effective than meds” and learn what a meta-analysis really says about movement and mental health. Is daily exercise really necessary, or is there a “sweet spot” for mental health benefits? Are all movement modalities equally effective—or do resistance training and yoga offer unique boosts for your mood and mind? Darlene Marshall unpacks massive new research covering over 128,000 adults, distilling complex science into practical, relatable takeaways you can use—whether you're a fitness professional, therapist, or just trying to feel better through winter. Plus: discover why therapists may hesitate to recommend exercise, what gaps exist between mental health and fitness fields, and how YOU can be part of making wellbeing more holistic, accessible, and stigma-free. If you want actionable strategies, honest personal insight, and a myth-busting approach to exercise and emotional resilience. Hey everyone...welcome to our bi-monthly ENCORE PRESENTATION of classic REVOLUTIONS PER MOVIE episodes from the vault! On this early episode of Revolutions Per Movie, I was joined by VERA DREW (writer, director, and star of THE PEOPLE'S JOKER), who picked a film that had a massive influence on her art, Pink Floyd: The Wall. It seems totally incredible that at the time of recording this episode, there was a legal battle between the release of her film and DC Comics, trying to squash its release. In the end, goodness prevailed, Vera's incredible film was released to worldwide praise and awe. I can't wait to see what Vera brings to us next (although we do discuss her remaking The Wall...yes! YESSS!!!)(Episode 8 originally aired on Nov 2nd, 2023).The original podcast show notes:This week, we talked about Pink Floyd: The Wall with actor/director/writer Vera Drew (The People's Joker, Tim & Eric, Sasha Baron Cohen's ‘Who Is America?'). We discussed how both the album and the film ended up being one of her biggest inspirations in making her film, how Pink Floyd has influenced her life immensely (including her name change), the battle over the release of The People's Joker, copyright law and fair use, the band Negativland, working with child actors, as well as her time working with Tim & Eric.Join us as we ask…is there anybody out there...is there anybody out there…is there anybody out there…on this week's episode of Revolutions Per Movie!Vera Drew:veradrew.comwww.thepeoplesjoker.comwatch.eventive.org/weirdweekend@VeraDrew22REVOLUTIONS PER MOVIE:Host Chris Slusarenko (Eyelids, Guided By Voices, owner of Clinton Street Video rental store) is joined by actors, musicians, comedians, writers & directors who each week pick out their favorite music documentary, musical, music-themed fiction film or music videos to discuss. Are you living your Mondays like you mean it—or are you sleepwalking through life's most precious moments? In this deeply engaging episode of “Better Than Fine,” Darlene Marshall sits down with Jodi Wellman, founder of 4000 Mondays and one of the internet's favorite “weirdos for well-being.” Together, they tackle the surprisingly revitalizing topic of death, memento mori, and the question we all avoid: How many Mondays do you have left? From the roots of the ancient Roman “memento mori” motif to the practical power of counting your Mondays, Jody explains why contemplating your mortality isn't morbid—it's a secret superpower for living a wider and deeper life. With insights from existential psychology, Jody and Andre invite listeners to diagnose their “dead zones,” share hilarious failures, and explore how simple pleasures (like killer brownies or watching owls online) can spark meaningful joy, even when life feels constrained. This special encore presentation is perfect for anyone seeking to escape the rut of routines and reignite their sense of aliveness, no matter their resources. You'll come away with actionable advice for overcoming regret, prioritizing what matters most, and infusing every day with intentionality. Searching for ways to “hack” life, avoid regret, and thrive—even in tough times? Tune in and discover why reflecting on death could be your best tool for truly coming alive. Don't just count your Mondays—make them count. If you like what you just consumed, leave us a 5-star review, and share this episode with a friend to help grow our NASM health and wellness community! As I head past my 2nd anniversary for Revolutions Per Movie, what would be more appropriate than my first-ever Revolutions Per Movie live show back in 2023 with the one and only Peter Buck of R.E.M.!!! Two magical things kicked off before we even got on stage: 1) Peter bought everyone's food and drink for anyone who walked out of REMbyMTV and went to the snack bar, and 2) Peter asked if I could get the audience to sing the Darth Vader theme song as he walked to the stage (because of the cape he was wearing). So enjoy and thanks for supporting the show. (Episode 19 originally aired Jan. 18th 2024).THE ORIGINAL SHOW NOTES:This week's episode was recorded in front of a live audience on Dec. 5th, 2023, at Cinema 21 in Portland, Oregon. Peter Buck of R.E.M. joined us to discuss the documentary R.E.M. by MTV, his early years devouring music, moving to Athens, his first impressions of his bandmates, the surprises of seeing Michael grow as a performer, their relationship with the press, answering fan mail (including Chris reading a letter written to the band in 1984), what influenced songs like Harbourcoat, Michael's approach to Man On The Moon and so much more.We also raised over $4900 for The Jeremy Wilson Foundation, which supports musicians and music industry workers in Oregon during times of medical or health-related challenges. Today I want to talk about mold in our environment. We can get mold spores in our window sills within the house, due to moisture from a lot of rain at this time of year. Mold can be caused by water damage in the house. We breathe that in. We can also have mold in some of our grains and nuts and seeds because of the way that they're stored. These are just some areas to be aware of, not panic over. All of these things factor in and affect our health.About the Host:Melissa is an Integrative Health Practitioner helping people get to the root cause of their health issues.
