T'was the night before Beer Week and all Hallows eve. Not a brewer was stirring, not even a leave...of delicious hops that rest in the kettle of a West Coast IPA, to test a brewers metal. Chris Banker was the one to put it all together, but name he ran out of when he started this endeavor. He tried and he tried to conjure it's title but gave up and said "we straight outta names!"

The ILB Team takes a field trip to meet with Chris Banker, a man of many hidden talents, including Director of Brewing at Barrel and Stave at the new Colab Public House in Vista, CA. 

All week we've been drinking with Chris Banker from Barrel and Stave and it took me till Friday to remember why I know his name!  Chris was the homebrewer that created the O.G. recipe for Xocoveza.  He's brought it back to it's homebrewing roots as we enjoy it tonight.

Born in Fullerton from a San Diego brewer, Barrel and Stave has found it's forever home in Vista making a variety of styles from the well known West Coast IPAs to lesser known Alt Bier.  Today we start our journey with Chris Banker and California Crushin' Kolsch.
