Nicole traces her path through the hospitality industry — from her first job at Panera Bread and serving at Ruby Tuesday, to learning the craft behind the bar at The Speakeasy in Waterville, to becoming a full-time bartender in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Exkluzívne odhalila zákulisie pôsobenia v prestížnych kluboch - od Ružomberka cez Brno, Šoproň až po ruský angažmán a americkú WNBA.„Bolo to neuveriteľné obdobie,” spomína Zuzana Žirková na euroligové tituly s Ružomberkom, kde ju pod svoje krídla zobrala Natália Hejková. V rozhovore odkryla svoju trénerskú filozofiu, porozprávala o rozdieloch medzi súčasnými mladými hráčkami a svojou generáciou, aj o tom, ako jej dcéra Dorotka kráča v maminých šľapajach.Nechýbal ani pohľad na súčasný stav slovenského ženského basketbalu, blížiacu sa kvalifikáciu na ME 2027 a príchod naturalizovanej Američanky Kyry Lambertovej do reprezentácie.Zuzana Žirková, ktorá sa v minulosti objavila aj na lavičke mužského Lučenca ako asistentka, úprimne hodnotí stav slovenského basketbalu a prichádza s nápadmi, ako systém zlepšiť. „Každý vie najlepšie, ako sa robí, ale nakoniec nikto pre to nič neurobí,” hovorí otvorene.

Mesiac po prijatí novely ústavy stretli v spoločnej diskusii šéfredaktori Postoja a Denníka N. Martin Hanus tvrdí, že liberáli na schválenie novely reagujú hystericky. "Vznikla tu emocionálna panika, že nám hrozí zrušenie demokracie a vyvedenie Slovenska z EÚ, čo nie je reálne," povedal. A v hektike tých dní som mal možnosť navštíviť priestory, v ktorých žil zatiaľ posledný zo slovenských kardinálov Jozef Tomko. Z jeho kardinálskeho bytu sa stalo sídlo Slovenského historického ústavu v Ríme. S jeho riaditeľom Danielom Černým som sa rozprával aj o vatikánskych archívoch a období Slovenského štátu. Od jesene 2023 sa z bývalého kardinálskeho bytu Jozefa Tomka stal Slovenský historický ústav v Ríme. Jedinečný svojim poslaním. I polohou. Je len pár metrov od Vatikánu. „Túto adresu poznali mnohí Slováci, ktorí prichádzali do Ríma. Vedeli, že dvere sú tu pre nich vždy otvorené. Že kardinál Tomko je tu vždy pre nich. Dnes sa snažíme, aby tieto priestory boli neoficiálnou treťou slovenskou ambasádou v Ríme“, hovorí riaditeľ Černý. Ústav je tak otvorený prioritne pre vedeckých pracovníkov, ktorí chodia za svojim výskumom do vatikánskych archívov, či archívov rímskych ústredí väčšiny reholí. „Sme nápomocní pri podpore výskumu v knižniciach, galériách či archívoch tak Vatikánu, ako aj Talianska. Archívy sú tu na dosah ruky“, dopĺňa. Vatikánske archívy sú zdrojom vzácnych prameňov aj na Slovensku najmä v cirkevnom prostredí ešte stále citlivú tému Slovenského štátu a jeho prezidenta, ktorým bol katolícky kňaz Jozef Tiso. „Až donedávna neboli prístupné materiály z tohto obdobia. Je to len päť rokov, ako pápež František otvoril archívy z čias pontifikátu Pia XII. - obdobie 1939 až 1958. Vedci len teraz študujú tieto dokumenty. Podporujeme aj výskum tohto obdobia. Sme radi, že dokumenty Vatikán sprístupnil. No pravda je aj taká, že ešte nie sú všetky dostupné. Ron and Mike had a particular vision (and name) for this distillery, but sometimes plans change. In this case, rather than a distillery that distributes across the states, they've honed in on their community and it is a fun place to hang out with friends. From the food trucks to the cocktails and spirits served neat, there is a lot to like here. I will say though, there is one spirit they made that might turn your head and make you wonder what they were thinking. Again, a surprise success.
