The King James bible is undoubtedly one of the most influential translations in history, yet today there are those that insist it is the only “true” translation. Since the 17th century, this tradition has evolved into what is today a movement with a legacy of bad fruits, pseudoscience and a spirit of division. In this comprehensive documentary you will learn why the KJV Only movement is not only wrong, but guided by the same legalistic spirit as other works of the enemy. This is a public episode. You know that feeling when you walk into a room and the tension is so palpable you could cut it with a knife? It's as if there's a massive elephant taking up all the space, silently daring anyone to acknowledge it. No one ever does, because we're scared. But if we're brave enough to face our fears, we can shrink the elephant and give our team more room to shine. I recently had the pleasure of discussing this very topic with Genevieve Hawkins, an expert with deep skills in health, human behaviour, and commercial business, and the author of “Shrinking Elephants.” Our conversation left me with invaluable insights that I'm excited to share with you According to Genevieve, the elephants arise when people see the same situation through different lenses, shaped by their experiences and perspectives. The first step to confronting them is to acknowledge that other people might see things differently than you. Not because they want to be difficult, but because their view of the problem—or the elephant—is different from ours. Having differing views isn't a bad thing in itself. It's when we fail to acknowledge and discuss these differences that conflicts grow, blocking effective communication and productivity. So why don't people speak up more often? The biggest reason is fear - fear of confrontation, fear of career repercussions, or simply the belief that speaking out wouldn't change anything. It's an environment we've all experienced, where discomfort festers quietly and impacts not just culture and teamwork but individual mental health as well. Fortunately, Genevieve shares her advice on overcoming that fear and shrinking these elephants - trust. When disagreements are addressed openly, trust is built—not on agreeing, but on the shared ability to have open discussions about differing views. To foster this environment, Genevieve suggests leaders intentionally create bonds with their teams. By finding common ground, recognising strengths, and being curious about team members' perspectives, leaders can create a safe space where divergent opinions are valued. Managing group discussions when an elephant emerges requires tact. Genevieve recommends establishing a common language for addressing and resolving these issues. By recognising the elephant and setting ground rules for respectful discussion, teams can embrace diverse perspectives, turning potential flashpoints into opportunities for creative problem-solving. Finally, Genevieve reminded me that workplaces aren't meant to be free of conflict. On the contrary, the absence of disagreement often indicates tension and lurking quiet conflicts. Constructive conflict, when managed well, can be beneficial by providing a platform for new ideas and improvements. So, look around your workplace for any elephants lingering in the corners, it's time to illuminate them! In doing so, you're opening pathways to trust, innovation, and ultimately, a stronger, more cohesive team. What is truth? How can we know what's true and what isn't? In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally shares about something really important: the truth. John 18:37-38a "... 'What is truth?' Pilate asked."Nothing has changed in 2000 years. There is an all-out attack on the truth, and that means there is an all-out attack on Jesus.John 14:6 NLT Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life..."Truth is not a concept, it's a person. You can understand facts, but you won't understand their meaning until you get to know the source of truth: Jesus.John 8:31-32 NLT "... you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Conversely, the main weapon of the devil is lies and deception.John 8:43-45 Two current issues in our modern culture we need to talk about regarding truth:AI, or Artificial intelligence, is technology that mimics human intelligence.Because of AI you are going to have to require a higher standard from yourself regarding what's true. The more you want something false to be true, the more likely you are to believe false information.Psalm 86:11 If your heart is not pure, your discernment will be off. Social MediaWhy is social media suspect?1. It gives unequal opinions an equal platform.2. It's not all real.Social Media tempts you to sacrifice what's real for what's rehearsed, and to sacrifice what you need to hear for what you want to hear.3. It's immediate communication.Proverbs 18:2 Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions. Before you post, forward, or share, ask yourself—is this true or do I just want this to be true? Is this from a trustworthy source? Does this reveal the Jesus—the way, the truth, the life, or Satan—the father of lies? How do we protect ourselves against deception?1. Opt out of offense.Matthew 24:10-11 An offended heart is susceptible to deception. Offense opens your heart to deceit. You want to see what you already believe. You want to hear what you already think. As Christians, our goal is not to just make a point, but to make a difference. 2. Limit your exposure to deception.1 Corinthians 11:3 Eve should have said, "Sorry, I don't talk to snakes." You can't be deceived, if you never hear the deception. Current culture is a current that is trying to sweep you into a way of thinking. The key to changing what you're full of is to change what you feed on. 3. Practice God's presence and stay in scripture.John 17:17 NIV "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."Become so intimately acquainted with the truth, that you'll be able to immediately spot what's a lie. Are you guarding against deception and protecting the truth?

Kyle and Matt realize life happens during the week, news takes place, and sometimes, that news is big enough that it can cause an elephant in the room when it comes to Sunday. How do we address them?
What happens when the very fabric of American democracy is put to the test? Join us as we confront the alarming state of our nation in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election, featuring a rematch between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. We begin by dissecting the chaos of January 6th, 2021, when a Trump-incited mob stormed the Capitol, marking a pivotal moment in our history—a moment that saw many Republican members of Congress attempt to overturn the election results, forever altering the party's trajectory toward authoritarianism. Our journey takes us back to the 1960s, exploring the origins of racially charged rhetoric and the pivotal shifts of the Republican Party. From Barry Goldwater's extremism to Nixon's Southern strategy and Reagan's unifying conservative factions, we unravel how coded language and strategic political moves laid the groundwork for today's divisive landscape. The rise of figures like Newt Gingrich and the influence of Fox News further transformed Republican politics, setting the stage for the Tea Party and the ideological battles that followed Obama's election. And, then Trump. As we examine the aftermath of the 2020 election and the January 6th attack, we spotlight Trump's baseless voter fraud claims and the disturbing rise of far-right militia groups. With the 2024 election on the horizon, we discuss the precarious state of American democracy and the erosion of democratic norms. As we gear up for the CNN presidential debate, many Americans will be watching to see how President Biden and former President Trump perform. So how will the president and former president go about addressing elephants in the room -- like President Biden seeming to freeze at public events or former President Trump's recent felony conviction? The Host of 'The Guy Benson Show,' Guy Benson, discusses the ins and outs of both the presidential candidates' campaigns, how he believes the two are likely to perform based on past debates, and why Republicans' should stay away from setting expectations too high for former President Trump or too low for President Biden. In this episode, Dean and I sit down to discuss the finer points of political game play and the embarrassing way the right tries to consistently dumb down important issues, create scapegoats in the process, and then pretend to save the day.Creating an enemy so you give them all the power to fight...how very Thomas Hobbes of them.

I can agree sex should be kept for marriage, but I still want to show physical affection while dating.” It is unavoidable that this tension will come up in a dating relationship. In this message we consider again what tension-causers in our thinking might exist regarding these questions. Then we look at some explicit commands in scripture regarding affection and sex. Finally, we observe a handful of biblical principles which urge us to make thoughtful, careful, humble decisions in this area. As always with ‘grey area' issues, we need to take what is clear in scripture to grow in wisdom for what is less clear. Such intentional thought in this area of discernment is necessary in a culture which equates sex with love and sinfully promotes the unreserved gratification of our sexual desires.
This message finishes where last week's left off: Biblical principles for addressing the tension some feel about Christians putting too much pressure on dating for marriage. The two principles proposed here are (1) The believer's first responsibility in any decision in life must be to please God; (2) The believer must remember that everything they have from God is a stewardship, including their relationships. Tune in to see how this relates to our dating questions.

It is a common claim in Christian circles that ‘dating should be for the purpose of marriage.' And yet, what is also a common claim among believers is that there can be ‘too much pressure for marriage' in dating. Do you feel the tension? Why is it that we agree on this first statement but are uncomfortable and frustrated with this second statement? This message seeks to address possible causes of this tension.
A survey of Christian college students and non-Christian Americans revealed some common tensions in the ‘dating' conversation. For example: ‘It feels weird to date a guy/gal that's one of my closest friends… and yet I want my future spouse to be my best friend.' Or: ‘I want to initiate, but I'm afraid if I initiate they'll think I'm initiating.' Ok everyone, lets address the elephants in the room. There's a lot of them, and it's getting tense. In this message, we begin addressing common tensions in the dating conversation. We evaluate possible causes of these tensions, we observe biblical principles which get to the heart of them, and then we propose some possible solutions.

Fossil fuel bans, heat pumps and electrification of winter heating: What will happen to transmission grids at times of peak loads if no backup heating systems are in place? And what about the pace of change if bans on fossil fuels only apply to new buildings?
We continue with three topics on electrification, which is the foundation of many deep decarbonization plans: electric vehicle adoption by gasoline super-users, the transmission quagmire and bans on combustion of fossil fuels for heating in favor of electric heat pumps
We start with a summary of the energy landscape, including the energy crisis in Europe, the recovery in the oil & gas sector and a warning label on industrial electrification and carbon sequestration
