You must be spiritually born to receive eternal life. “Unless one is born of water [physical birth] and born of Spirit [born again through faith alone in Christ alone] he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). This second birth is a simple act of faith. “He who believes in Him [the Lord Jesus Christ] is not judged” (John 3:18). You will either be born twice or die twice. Unbelievers, those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, will die the second death, will be condemned to the Lake of Fire, and tormented forever.Download Transcript: https://rhem.pub/two-births-94140c
Developing a mature spiritual life requires consistent, high-quality nourishment from God's Word taught by a well-qualified pastor. No Christian can read the Bible and attain spiritual maturity on their own. The Bible is a textbook designed by God to be taught by a man with the spiritual gift of pastor-teacher. “Your word I have treasured in my heart that I may not sin against You” (Ps 119:11). Scripture is layered—the more you learn, the more you realize you don't know. When you understand God's Word and store it in your heart, it reveals your weaknesses and strengths.Download Transcript: https://rhem.pub/qualified-pastor-ec8824
Our co-host, Heather had the pleasure of interviewing sociologist and artist Alessandra Seggi about her latest book Youth and Suicide in American Cinema: Context, Causes, and Consequences. Alessandra is a Fulbright grantee with a PhD in Sociology and MA in Media Studies and the analysis in her book is both a personal and professional reflection on suicide in film. Youth and suicide in American Cinema is about the portrayal of suicide in youth films covering both studio-driven and independent cinema from 1900 to 2018. It aims to understand such portrayals by offering a proactive approach via a media literacy strategy for engaged audiences in order for them to interpret these portrayals. Ultimately, via their thorough analysis, films become the much-needed buffer that allows people to gain enough distance from suicide and suicidal behavior to actually talk about it, and via this interview, Alessandra gives guidance to filmmakers on how to better portray this often stigmatized topic. Prayer is one of the most powerful functions of your Christian life, when done according to God's protocol. Prayer is an extension and reflection of your spiritual life, based on the content of God's Word in your soul. Take your appreciation and requests to God and have the tranquility of God's peace. “In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:6-7). The Lord Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit intercede on your behalf, praying for you! “He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God” (Rom 8:27). Prayer is not designed to get you out of trouble, but rather to express your helplessness and dependence on God.Download Transcript: https://rhem.pub/power-prayer-8fcbd0
“… and they will in the future reign forever and ever.” This speaks of our ETERNITY THEN. Rule begins in the Millennial Kingdom and will continue forever and ever in the new heaven and earth. It is a trustworthy statement, if we died with Him, we will also in the future live with Him; if we now endure, we will also in the future choose to reign with Him. Faithful and true defines Yahweh and every word He has breathed. God who directs the spirit of the prophets sent His angel to show to His bondservants the things which now must soon choose to take place. Through revealing His thoughts, intentions, plans, desires, and action, Jesus wants His bride to fall ever more in love with him and be thoroughly convinced that He is worth waiting for, worth betting their lives upon.Download Transcript

The Spirit of God imaged as the river of life that flowsfrom the throne of God, divides Jew from Gentile and is the living water to both communities. God preserves the unique relationship He has with His people. This is like the imagery of the wild and the natural olive trees as well as the 2 witnesses. God maintains 2 witnesses to the world, one uniquely Jewish andone uniquely Gentile. The tree of life, imagery for Jesus, expresses itself and grows for both communities. The twelve fruits is a picture of His remarkable spiritual administration in both groups. Its yield is cyclical and predicable, always yielding its fruit and its leaves are always green and provide shade from the heat and are for therapy to the nations.Download Transcript

John saw a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, choosing to now be coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of the wide-open place. It is radiant with no impurities. The river is a metaphor for the Holy Spirit who is absorbed and amplified through His people, flowing out from within our New Creation, the Sanctuary of God. Flowing from the throne speaks of the Unity of the Godhead.Faith is how the living water is permitted to flow in and through a person. But when fear supplants their faith, they have forsaken God, the fountain of living waters, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water.Download Transcript

There will no longer be any sadness, mourning, and depression. And the gates of the city no, not ever, shall be caused to be shut by day. Jesus is the light of day and as long as He shines in this world, the gates will not be closed. There are prohibitions on entry: anyone unclean andalso anyone now doing what is detestable or false. An MVP for God, “Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. This is a picture used to communicate a message. For instance, the people of God will NOT be walking on literal streets of gold. The city is an image, a picture, of the people of God (the wife of Christ) and not a destination. The wall of jasper is emblematic of sacrifice (bloody sacrifice). The city pure gold speaks of the divinity of the wife of Christ, as they will be like Him and share in His substance. Clear as glass speaks of the absence of impurity. The Foundations speak of honor and glory of the Apostles' faith upon which the city rests. The gates being pearls speaks of the gentile believers though which all must enter. The street, or wide-open space, speaks of a large gathering place for all who want to know Jesus, and its transparency speaks of the lack of imperfection in the true bondservants of Jesus Christ.Download Transcript

God abounds in mercy because of His compassion for us and our eternal destiny. Mercy flows from the throne of grace. “Let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb 4:16). Mercy is His grace in action, generated by His love and compassion. “The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy” (Ps 103:8). A spiritually maturing Christian acquires the attribute of compassion and demonstrates it by reaching those who are lost and giving them the Gospel. The cowardly and unbelieving and those caused to being abominable and murderers and immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all the liars, the part theirs in the lake that is now caused to be burning with fire and brimstone, which now is the second death. Murderers slay with intent. The immoral refers to those involved in the procurement, trafficking, and sale of sexual slaves. Sorcerers refer to drug dealers and drug traffickers. Idolators refers to those who worship anything other than Yahweh. The abominable stink in the nostrils of God, they are the hypocrites who act as if they know God but do not. The cowardly refers to those who live in dread over what might be instead of resting in Jesus who is in control of all things all the time. The antidote is to come to know Jesus as one's Yahweh Shalom, Yahweh who is their peace. We must come to the source, to Jesus who is the source. This water will become within us a well of water now springing up to eternal life. In the future drinking this water will be without cost (in Eternity), but for now it costs us everything to drink. We have got to die to live, we must be willing to let God put to death everything within us that does not want Him to be our Adonai. We must count the cost. Sometimes, we witness to share the importance of spiritual growth and stability. Pray and ask God to give you opportunities to talk to lost individuals. “The testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life” (1 John 5:11-12). Download Transcript: https://rhem.pub/win-souls-343276
Jesus said, "They have been done. I now am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. In short, everything is playing out exactly as He has decreed. The story has been written and recorded in His books. Jesus has ordered all things, and all things have been set into motion and are completed by His hands, “for from Him and through Him and to Him are ALL things,” without exception. Everything comes from Him and exists by His power and all things are summed up in Christ. He initiates all things, He completes and brings all His plans to fruition, and no one or nothing can stand in His way or thwart His will. Jesus also said, “I will, in the future, give to the one who is now thirsting from the spring of the water of life without cost. He who is now overcoming will in the future inherit these things, and in the future, I will choose to be his God, and he will in the future choose to be My son.” Download Transcript
Serving God is your purpose in life. This is why God left you here after you were saved. “Fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you” (1 Sam 12:24). You receive a spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. Using your spiritual gift is one way to serve God. You must be filled with the Holy Spirit and have some spiritual growth for your gift to be effective. This is what the Lord Jesus Christ said about serving, “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him” (John 12:26). Jesus' blood was spilled so that the covenant of law can be satisfied in all of us; Christ is the end of the law for all who are now believing. He gave us a new commandment, to love with His agape love (which means He who is agape must love through us). The Spirit gives His people new tongues, a language spoken in the spiritual realms. He creates a new heaven and earth with a new Jerusalem which even now comes down out of heaven from God. He calls His loved ones by a new name which the mouth of Yahweh shall designate. And His compassions and mercy are new every morning. These words are faithful and true given by the giver of hope. Download Transcript
You face three enemies in your spiritual life: the world, your flesh, and the devil. You live in the devil's world, and it is full of temptations, illusions, and false promises. The world offers you security and happiness, but it can't deliver. “The world is passing away; and also, its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever” (1 John 2:17). Your flesh, the sin nature, tempts you in your areas of strength and weakness. Spiritual growth counters the temptations. Satan's objective is to avoid going to the Lake of Fire. He is trying to create a utopia on Earth through organized religion and internationalism. His tactics are beyond our comprehension, so we must consistently learn and apply God's World, or we will fall victim to his plan. “So that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes” (2 Cor 2:11). “… and the sea is now no more.” The sea represents the restless churnings and tumult caused by the chaos of humanity. God has stilled the waters. In Him, we can know His rest and live in His peace. Though believing we can enter His rest when we surrender to the fact that Jesus is Yahweh Adonai, the absolute Lord and our Prince of Peace.
