Hello Enthusiacs! It’s finally time, just before Life is Strange 2 we have the long teased crossover with Judge Greg, and Nick from Gamers Without Borders to talk all things Life is Strange. Is Max the worst? Did Rachel Amber live up to her billing in Before the Storm? Is Chloe a good person or not? What do we think about Captain Spirit? Why does Judge Greg find angsty teen girl drama so compelling? We hit on all that and more! Spoilers ahead, you’ve been warned! Also, Hooray, BTL Radio is over 50!
Hello Enthusiacs! After the last episode, I spoke with Dave Guilland (I may not pronounce it right, but at least I can spell it right), the writer for the Extra Credits episode on QA, and he agreed to continue the discussion with Judge Greg and myself. I am always up to discuss testing, so we dive back into the topic here, get some insight into the how the QA episode of Extra Credits was made, and as always share a few fun work stories. Also of note, with this episode, depending on how you count it, Behind the Line Radio turns 50! Woo!
Hello Enthusiacs! I wrote about the Extra Credits QA video already, but I felt there was more to discuss, and that the topic lent itself more to a discussion format than an article anyway. With that in mind, I got Judge Greg to come on to take another swing at the topic of QA and our thoughts on the Extra Credits video.
Hello Enthusiacs! It has been mentioned here and there for a long time, but it is finally here. Kynetyk and Vega Goose have played through Killer7. This special presentation of BTL Radio is the recap and analysis from that experience. If you would like to see the video of the play through, you can find the whole playlist at the Enthusiacs youtube channel.
Hello Enthusiacs! This week we welcome a very special guest, long time industry veteran Jason Kaehler joins to discuss the Battlefront 2 debacle, and a lot of the implications with it. From loot boxes, gambling, monetization, game prices in general, and the changing nature of game sales the conversation covers a lot of ground. I think we even hit on PVP matchmaking in there.

Hello Enthusiacs. This week we return to the topic of Analytics. Last time in episode 37 we discussed a lot of terms and definitions, technical considerations and so forth. This week we dig more into the effect that this can have on the game design. Steve joins us to talk about this, and we discuss some of the baffling ways that this can play out. Also, Baron Fang gets a better answer to one of the questions he asked earlier about analytics intelligence vs design.
Hello Enthusiacs! After way too long talking about it, we've finally got a guest on to talk about analytics. John (not the same one as an earlier episode) was kind enough to join in and talk about a number of general concepts that go into business analytics, and concerns around it. This is a big topic, so there will be more guests on it in the future, that's for sure!

Hello Enthusiacs! Tekken 7 is out and being a big fan, we start off the show discussing that. However there has also been a lot of news coming out over the past few weeks. Looks like I picked a hell of a time to miss a week. From the Switch game service developments, to Steam Direct news, and more crammed into this hour. And that is after we cut half of what we had planned to talk about. And, if anyone wants to play Tekken on PSN, hit me up. My ID is Kynetyk. Hopefully a direct match will get around the match making issues.

After that, we also discuss localization again, given the news of a localizer demanding his name be removed while arguing against cultural adjustments, over the wishes of the developer it seems. Lorenzo caps us off with a story about how he got into the industry, with some advice for people wanting to enter the industry.
Hello Enthusiacs! This week I finally decided to rant on the tools used on testing, including one particular pain in my backside... Fortunately Baron Fang helped to keep the conversation from devolving into frothing madness.

Hello Enthusiacs! GDC is around the corner, and with it perhaps the most prestegious game awards show. Baron Fang joins us to discuss the Game Developers Choice awards and the IGF independant game awards. Also, we talk about the off beat Ctrl.Alt.GDC entries, which apparently includes an arcade machine that could have come from a cartoon show.
