Jesus is known to be the wisest and most highly regarded teacher in all of humanity. More study has been devoted to His words than any other person. We are going to take some time to concentrate on all the things He didn't say. What words did Jesus NOT use when the media of his day shouted out a controversial question that would trap him no matter how He answered? What did He NOT say in personal conversations ? When Jesus had all the authority, all the knowledge, all the right, what did he NOT say? Come sit at the feet and listen to Jesus. His silence speaks as loud as His words.Social Media: @Generationscc⛪️ Visit Generations Christian Church: 1540 Little Rd Trinity, Fl 34655Pastor Johnny's Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/pastor-johnny-scott/id1470172952Join A Small Group: https://generationscc.com/small-groups

Fourth Sunday in Lent (Year A, 2022-2023)Scripture Readings: 1 Samuel 16:1-13, Psalm 23, Ephesians 5:8-14, John 9:1-41
Jesus looks into our hearts and into our souls. He heals that which we might not even know is hurt. John 9:1, 6-9, 13-17, 34-38As Jesus passed by he saw a man blind from birth. He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva, and smeared the clay on his eyes, and said to him,“Go wash in the Pool of Siloam” — which means Sent —.So he went and washed, and came back able to see.His neighbors and those who had seen him earlier as a beggar said,“Isn't this the one who used to sit and beg?”Some said, “It is, “but others said, “No, he just looks like him.”He said, “I am.”They brought the one who was once blind to the Pharisees. Now Jesus had made clay and opened his eyes on a sabbath. So then the Pharisees also asked him how he was able to see.He said to them,“He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and now I can see.”So some of the Pharisees said,“This man is not from God,because he does not keep the sabbath.”But others said,“How can a sinful man do such signs?”And there was a division among them.So they said to the blind man again,“What do you have to say about him, since he opened your eyes?”He said, “He is a prophet.”They answered and said to him,“You were born totally in sin,and are you trying to teach us?”Then they threw him out. When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out,he found him and said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”He answered and said,“Who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?”Jesus said to him,“You have seen him, andthe one speaking with you is he.”He said,“I do believe, Lord,” and he worshiped him.Gospel Study: Fr. In this uncertain time what does this the story of the Blind Man being healed offer. What light is being planted in our eyes? Who are we invited to see at this time? In what ways are we being invited to hear and see, to deepen our relationship with Jesus. We also explore some of the issues around translations, and how if we can the meaning of a couple of words to other equally acceptable meanings, and move a full stop, we get a very different reading. This is not about who to blame, but how we do the works of God.A conversation around some of these issues with those who came to church on our last Sunday together for some time. How do we continue to be church now that we cannot gather? The notes can be found here

This week John uses the gospel reading of Jesus healing the blind man in John 9:1-41 to ask who are the bind people today? He goes on to offer the daily examen as a way of learning to truly see: ourselves, God and God at work in our lives and the world around us; and invites people to spend some time each day using the examen.
