Google gets 94% of its income from ad revenue. Google Guru Monte Huebsch pin points that as of March 2016, there were some changes in the format and location of these ads on desktop view. In a study conducted by Google itself, less than 15% of its users are clicking the ads on the right portion of the page. With this, the ads on the right hand side were removed. All ads can now be seen on top and at the bottom of search result pages. Learn more about the changes that Google has recently implemented with Monte.
