I recently did a video on the DJI Phantom 3 Professional quadcopter that I've been using. I've had several people since ask me about the camera settings that I am using on the Phantom 3. Aerial photography and video work is similar to landscape in that you have a very wide dynamic range that you have to deal with. Its difficult to capture in digital format. The Phantom 3 features a Sony Exmor sensor… having said that it is a decent camera, but not incredible. There are some settings that you can use in the DJI Go app that will help with your footage considerably. I will explain these in this video. The Apple Watch reviews are out and @thisisneil, Shane, and Stephen Robles comb through the initial impressions. Reviews of the new 12" MacBook are also discussed, OS X 10.10.3, Photos for Mac, DJI's new Phantom 3, and more.
In this episode I answer questions from two voice mail messages I received this week from a listener named Patrick. He asks: Is aerial photography with drones a viable business opportunity for skilled filmmakers and photographers? Is the DJI Phantom so easy to fly that businesses can do it themselves, thus negating the need for professional videographers and photographers? Also in this episode I discuss DJI's announcement of the Phantom 3. It looks to be an amazing aerial photography system with 4K video (with live streaming from the Phantom directly to YouTube), 12MB still photography, built in video editing, and the improved DJI Pilot app. Show notes for DCP episode 152: http://carlolson.tv/dcp152 Ben Hess' crowdfunding project: http://www.seedandspark.com/studio/raising-txt-generation Yonder Blue Films: http://www.yonderbluefilms.com Chris Newman's Cinechopper: http://cinechopper.com Sign up for KRE8insights: http://carlolson.tv/kre8 Become an associate producer of the Digital Convergence Podcast by your generous financial support: http://www.patreon.com/carlolson Leave voice mail feedback: https://www.speakpipe.com/CarlOlson Send me an email: http://carlolson.tv/contact/
I love the minor key that this is in. It is an excellent example on how to transition between minor and major keys. I try to use flutes for female voices. Until I get real voices this is what we will have to work with.
