The police interview with Tyler Robinson's trans lover just played in court for the first time, and the confessions inside are impossible to ignore. You need to hear this before the media tries to spin it into something else. Tyler Robinson, the 23-year-old accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk at a Turning Point USA event last September, had been living with his 22-year-old trans lover Lance Twiggs in St. George, Utah. Twiggs, who went by Luna in their private messages, described Robinson waking him up the day after the shooting, pacing and crying while admitting he was the gunman. In this lesson from the Gate of Repentance (Shaar HaTeshuvah), Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe explores one of Judaism's most hopeful teachings: Hashem never closes the door to teshuvah. No matter how many mistakes a person has made or how far they may have drifted, the opportunity to return always remains open. Rabbi Wolbe explains that life's struggles, temptations, and failures are part of the human experience, and Hashem understands those challenges. The purpose of teshuvah is not to dwell on guilt but to restore the loving relationship between a person and their Creator. Hashem eagerly awaits every sincere step we take toward Him, meeting us with compassion and helping us overcome even the barriers we thought were impossible to remove. A central theme of the episode is that Hashem actively assists those who genuinely seek to return. Rabbi Wolbe illustrates this with the Torah's promise that Hashem will "circumcise your heart," removing the emotional and spiritual barriers we ourselves have created. Whether those barriers are long-held habits, fears of change, social pressures, or the belief that "I could never do that," Hashem grants strength beyond our natural abilities when our desire for closeness is sincere.
