Transcending Intergenerational Trauma Dr Aileen Alleyne is a Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor in private practice in East Sussex and also consults to organisations on issues of difference and diversity in the workplace and education. Aileen is the author of several book chapters and journal papers exploring themes on black/white dynamics, and the ubiquitous emotion of shame ever present in black identity wounding. Aileen talks about the work of transcending intergenerational trauma and introduces us to a model she has developed which acts as a guide towards the emergence of the true self.
