The Blue Jays dug themselves a 4-0 hole on Monday night, which would have been worse if not for some outstanding defensive work all over the diamond. José Berríos gave up a lot of loud contact, the bats struggled badly once again, and it looked for a long time like another ugly defeat was in the offing. Then the rally caps came out, Danny Jansen stepped to the plate, and the course of the night — and maybe even the Blue Jays season — was changed. On this week's episode we talk about all that, Jansen's playing time, Ross Atkins' weird comments, he re-acquisition of Bradley Zimmer, Marcus Stroman's return, unionizing the minor leagues, and more! Relativism is not sanity, just wandering with the lost herd...
On this post-election day edition of the Metal Injection Livecast we started things off with a special press conference featuring "Jimmy McMullen", leader of the Rent Is Too Damn High party. Once we began the show, we started briefly talking about politics and mention Ozzy appearing at the Rally To Restore Sanity and/or Fear. We then get a bunch of callers and actually talk about music including new music from Athiest, Between the Buried and Me and Dimmu Borgir. We try to decide which characters from Seinfeld each member of the Livecast would be and wrapped up the first hour with 3D trying to get details on one of our callers moms, We start the second hour with Greg Weeks, bassist of The Red Chord calling in and giving everybody some advice. He starts by explaining to Noa how she could get rid of a guy that just can't take a hint. He also answers various callers' questions and then Shlomo calls in and gives him a rendition of "Dreaming In Dog Years". After a music break, Mrs. Divatelli joins us to give a special report on the election results from yesterday, as well as her opinions on Prop 19 and smoking in general. Here is this week's playlist: Creedence Clearwater Revival – Bad Moon Rising Daughters – The First Supper Fiend Without A Face – Black Grass Angra – Live And Learn GWAR – War Is All We Know
As the U.S. election season draws to a close, it seems that the divides between many of us couldn't be greater. Yet is that really the case? Spiritual writer Susan Larison Danz will spontaneously reflect upon the remarkable parallels she has seen among seemingly divided groups of people, drawing on her observations in the past week of both the Glenn Beck show and Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity. Susan has walked multiple paths in her life, both politically and spiritually. It is her intent to seek and promote understanding of multiple perspectives.
Did you miss us? Well, we’ve returned anyway so deal with it. One way you could deal with it is by enjoying this wonderful episode in which Riley Boxcutter gives us an exclusive report on the Rally to Restore Sanity (aka the March to Keep Fear Alive). For the first time ever there is a […]
