Have you ever felt completely stuck trying to make a decision after betrayal — even when you're doing everything “right”? Stay or go. Try again or walk away. Trust your gut… or question it endlessly. After betrayal, even wise, thoughtful decisions can feel impossible to make. Not because you're broken — but because your nervous system is trying to keep you safe. In this episode of FLAUNT!, Lora Cheadle unpacks why decision-making feels so overwhelming after betrayal, how perfectionism and self-blame sneak in when outcomes don't match expectations, and why freeze is a trauma response — not a personal failure. Using a powerful personal story, relatable examples, and trauma-informed insight, Lora reframes what it really means to “choose wisely” and introduces discernment as the missing language betrayed women were never given. You didn't lose your ability to decide. Your system is responding intelligently to uncertainty. Top 3 Takeaways Decision paralysis after betrayal is a nervous system response, not a flaw When expectations collapse, the brain looks for certainty. Freeze is a survival strategy — not proof you can't trust yourself. New information doesn't turn a wise decision into a mistake A decision made with care and discernment deserves respect, even if the outcome changes later. Self-trust isn't about being right — it's about staying with yourself Real self-trust means knowing you won't abandon yourself when things evolve, unravel, or feel uncertain. Favorite Quotes “You didn't choose wrong. You exercised discernment — and the story kept unfolding.” “Self-trust isn't about being right. It's about knowing you won't abandon yourself when things change.” “New information doesn't retroactively make you wrong.” “Blaming yourself isn't truth. It's an attempt to feel powerful again after uncertainty.” About Lora Lora Cheadle, JD, CHt is a former attorney turned betrayal recovery coach, hypnotherapist, and author who helps women rebuild their identity and reclaim their power after infidelity and profound emotional betrayal. Episode Summary: Today we are diving into a topic that affects millions of people who feel stretched too thin and overwhelmed by life. We are talking about real world tools for managing chronic stress and mental fatigue so you can regain clarity, rebuild your strength, and restore your hope. Chronic stress is not simply an inconvenience. It quietly infiltrates every area of life and disrupts sleep, relationships, thought patterns, mood, and even your sense of spiritual connection. Our goal today is to equip you with proven strategies that help you move from exhaustion to renewal so you can thrive again. When mental fatigue sets in and stress feels unending, many people assume that feeling overwhelmed is their new normal. But God offers a better way. You can experience renewed strength, restored clarity, and a calm mind even in the middle of challenging seasons. If you long for sustainable emotional wellness, Christ centered stress management tools, and practical ways to quiet your mind, this episode is for you. We want to help you step out of survival mode and experience the peace that God promises. Today we’re going to be talking about Tools for Managing Chronic Stress and Mental Fatigue. Quotables from the episode: Chronic stress affects the whole person. It impacts the body, mind, emotions, and even our sense of spiritual grounding. As a neuropsychologist, I see how the stress response system affects the brain. When people experience stress for long periods of time, the brain becomes over activated. Concentration decreases. Memory becomes foggy. Emotional regulation becomes harder. We feel more reactive and less resilient. The good news is that the brain is both adaptable and changeable. With consistent tools, we can retrain the mind and restore mental clarity. It is critical to remember that God did not design our bodies to live in chronic stress. Chronic stress is the type of ongoing stress that does not resolve quickly. It comes from situations that continue to require emotional or physical energy without enough recovery time. Chronic stress and mental fatigue are not signs of weakness. They are signs that your body and mind need care. With intentional tools and God’s help, your mind can heal, your body can recover, and your spirit can strengthen. Scripture References: Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. In this powerful episode of What Are You Made Of ? , Mike “C-Roc” sits down with psychotherapist, coach, speaker, and writer Jennifer “Jenn” Pinkerton for a deeply personal and thought-provoking conversation about connection, trauma, and the stories we tell ourselves. Jenn opens up about the early loss of her father and how that pivotal moment shaped her identity, relationships, and her journey from being a “storyteller” and chameleon for acceptance to becoming a truth teller rooted in authenticity and emotional growth. Together, Mike "C-Roc" and Jenn explore how core wounds like abandonment, unworthiness, and not belonging can influence everything from our careers and relationships to how we show up in the world, and how doing the hard emotional work can transform those patterns. Jenn also shares her path into psychotherapy, her passion for helping individuals and couples heal relational wounds, and her continued pursuit of growth through her PhD in clinical sexology, specializing in intimacy and healing after infidelity. This episode is a raw, insightful look at what it truly means to return to who you were before trauma shaped your story and to live a bold, connected, and authentic life.Website-Jennpinkerton.com Social Media Links/Handles-https://www.facebook.com/jenniferbpinkerton https://www.instagram.com/jennbpinkerton/https://www.linkedin.com/in/jennifer-pinkerton-73817b27/https://www.tiktok.com/@redheadreveal
On Monday, January 19, 2026, Hudson Mohawk Magazine Roaming Labor Correspondent Willie Terry attended the ALL OF US “Reclaim MLK Day 2026: A Day of Action, Education & Resistance” at the First United Methodist Church in Schenectady. Today is the Part 2 re-run of the vitamin D series, Tara moves beyond basic lab values and takes a closer look at what can happen when vitamin D supplementation goes too far — and why more is not always better. She explains how today's standard reference ranges are built on shaky assumptions, how high-dose vitamin D can create real imbalances in the body, and why symptoms like mood changes, calcium shifts, mitochondrial stress, and even worsening autoimmune issues can sometimes be linked to over-supplementation. Most importantly, Tara shares a smarter, root-cause approach to supporting healthy vitamin D levels without relying on megadoses that may do more harm than good. In Part 2, Tara covers: • Why common vitamin D reference ranges may be misleading • Signs and symptoms of vitamin D overload • Why a "just take more" approach misses the bigger picture • The key cofactors your body needs to properly use vitamin D If you've ever been told to simply increase your vitamin D without deeper investigation, this episode will help you ask better questions and take a more balanced, informed approach to your health. What if resistance isn't the problem—but the doorway? In this episode of Chaos to Connection, Diane explores one of the most misunderstood dynamics in parenting: resistance. From chores and homework to “not listening,” resistance often triggers power struggles that leave both parents and children feeling disconnected and frustrated. But what if resistance isn't defiance at all?Drawing from nervous system awareness, emotional leadership, and her own lived experience, Diane reframes resistance as self-protection, not misbehavior—and reveals how power struggles begin when a child's resistancecollides with a parent's unowned trigger. This episode invites parents to shift from control to curiosity, blame to ownership, and reactivity to regulation—creating the conditions where responsibility, connection, and trust can actually grow.In This Episode, You'll Explore:*Why resistance is not defiance—but protection*How children's resistance mirrors adult resistance (avoidance, procrastination, “I know,” shutdown)*The hidden reason power struggles escalate: resistance meeting resistance*How parents often react not to behavior, but to what the behavior triggersin them*Why blaming children for our triggers dismisses their inner experience*The difference between control-based parenting and curiosity-based leadership*How boundaries can exist without power struggles*Why staying with yourself when triggered is the real work of parentingA Key Reframe from the Episode:“Resistance is fear trying to keep us safe—and power struggles begin when resistance meets resistance.”Reflection Questions for Parents:What does my child resist most—and what might that resistance be protecting them from? What gets triggered in me when my child resists?Where might I be resisting their resistance instead of leading from regulation? Attachment theory is everywhere right now — anxious, avoidant, fearful, secure — but after infidelity, simply understanding your attachment style doesn't stop the emotional whiplash. In this powerful episode, Lora Cheadle is joined by Bryan Power, a Certified Integrated Attachment Theory Coach, for an honest, grounded conversation about how attachment wounds actually show up after betrayal — and what it really takes to heal them. Together, they break down the four attachment styles, explore why betrayal hits attachment at its core, and walk through the six pillars of Integrated Attachment Theory — practical tools that move you from survival and confusion into clarity, safety, and secure connection. This episode goes beyond theory. You'll learn why insight alone doesn't regulate the nervous system, how subconscious wounds drive behavior, and what helps betrayed partners stop feeling “crazy” when triggers hit — without excusing betrayal or bypassing accountability. If you've ever thought, “I know what's happening — so why does it still hurt this much?” — this episode is for you. Top 3 Takeaways Knowing your attachment style doesn't equal healing You can name your pattern perfectly and still panic when your partner withdraws. Healing happens through felt safety, not logic alone. Betrayal exposes unhealed attachment wounds — in both partners Infidelity doesn't come from nowhere. It often reveals deep subconscious beliefs around safety, abandonment, worth, and betrayal that were never healed. Secure attachment is built — not born Through the six pillars of Integrated Attachment Theory — core wounds, needs, emotions, boundaries, communication, and behavior — couples can move toward safety, clarity, and conscious connection. n “Seek First the Treasure,” we explored Jesus' words in Matthew 6:19–24 and the critical question of where we place our treasure and attention. Jesus does not ask if we treasure something, but where we treasure it. The central truth is this: you can build your life on what can be taken, or you can build your life on what cannot.Jesus invites us to examine our calendars, our finances, and our attention, because these reveal what we truly treasure. Earthly treasures are always vulnerable. Like thieves that steal not only possessions but also peace, time, and joy, what we build our lives on can quietly master us.The good news is that Jesus treasured us so deeply that He gave everything on the cross, positioning Himself between two thieves to purchase us as His treasure. The gospel is not about trying harder to love God, but about letting ourselves be loved by God. When we grasp that we are His treasure, our hearts begin to reorder, our attention begins to heal, and rival masters begin to loosen their grip.Takeaways from the message:Name your treasure honestly. What would genuinely upset you if you lost it? What consumes your thoughts, time, and resources?Reclaim your attention deliberately. Attention is never neutral. What we focus on forms our souls. Redirect your gaze toward Jesus, who brings light rather than darkness.Choose one costly obedience joyfully this week. Practice generosity, create space for silence and solitude, or release control where a rival master has taken hold.

In this episode of Taking It Back, Zak Paine, Frankie Val, and Adel Nero break down a rapidly shifting global and domestic landscape as cracks begin to show in long-standing power structures. The conversation centers on the changing tone at Davos, open admissions from global elites, and the growing acknowledgment that globalism is losing its grip. The hosts examine the ripple effects of America prioritizing its own interests, the collapse of international credibility, and the decentralization of power back to sovereign nations. They also dive into election integrity, judicial obstruction, legislative gridlock, and the growing tension between accountability and entrenched institutions. From trade, tariffs, and economic leverage to courts, corruption, and the limits of political reform, this episode explores what real course correction looks like and why the current moment feels fundamentally different. Beneath it all is a central question: what happens when the old system can no longer sustain itself — and the pressure to change becomes unavoidable?

Many business owners believe staying busy in the day-to-day is the best way to grow their company. But when all your time is spent working in the business, strategic thinking and renewal are often the first things to disappear, quietly limiting long-term growth and value. In this episode, Matt Di Francesco breaks down the three types of time every owner must intentionally manage: tactical time, strategic time, and renewal time. Today's episode is a rerun of one of the most important conversations I've ever shared on the podcast, all about vitamin D. As the podcast library grows, some truly foundational episodes can get buried, and this is information that's simply too important to lose. This is part one of a two-part series, and if you've never listened (or even if you have), it's well worth revisiting. Is your vitamin D "deficiency" actually a misdiagnosis? In this eye-opening episode, Tara dives into one of the most misunderstood nutrients in functional medicine: vitamin D. While most practitioners rush to prescribe high doses of vitamin D based on a single lab marker (25(OH)D), Tara challenges the status quo and breaks down why this approach can be both misleading and harmful, especially for women in perimenopause. She explains the critical difference between 25(OH)D and 1,25(OH)₂D, why elevated active vitamin D (1,25) often goes unnoticed, and how it can actually suppress your vitamin D storage while driving up inflammation, calcium loss, and even contributing to autoimmune conditions and bone loss. This episode is a must-listen if you've ever felt confused about whether to supplement or if you've been taking vitamin D long-term without fully understanding how it works in your body. In this episode we cover: The difference between storage vs. active vitamin D (and why you must always test both but your practitioner likely hasn't) The issues with vitamin D testing that scientists are hotly debating (can you even trust your lab result?) What is the optimal reference range for vitamin D? And why ranges are terribly inflated and many are not to be trusted. What really drives down vitamin D in the body and how to come at this from a root-cause perspective instead of drowning yourself in vitamin D supplements If you're thinking about taking D, already taking D, or have been told your vitamin D is "low" (it likely isn't) then this one is for you. What does it take to rise after life tells you “you can't”? In this episode of The Health Disparities Podcast, we sit down with Grace Moore—Financial Empowerment Specialist, Founder, Speaker, and 2025 Movement Is Life Health Summit Speaker—whose journey is a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and the transformative force of mindset. At just 17, Grace was told she would never walk again. After waking from a nap with her left leg paralyzed, she faced a defining crossroads: accept limitation or choose possibility. She chose movement—of the body, the mind, and the spirit. Today, Grace speaks from the lens of the patient, sharing what it looks like to keep moving forward while living with daily pain. Her message is simple but profound: we can choose to be “up and able” rather than “down and defeated.” Grace also brings her expertise in financial wellness to the conversation, highlighting how financial empowerment—especially for seniors—directly connects to health equity, stability, and community well‑being. She breaks down the barriers people face, the myths that hold them back, and the power of language to either uplift or limit our lives. In this episode, Grace opens up about: • Her journey from paralysis to purpose • How mindset can shift the trajectory of your life • Why financial empowerment is a health equity issue • The importance of speaking life into yourself and others • Her upcoming journal, Graceful Movement, and how it helps readers embrace pain with compassion and courage Grace's story is a reminder that movement isn't just physical—it's emotional, mental, and deeply personal. Her voice is one of hope, empowerment, and unwavering belief in what's possible. Never miss an episode—subscribe to The Health Disparities Podcast on Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or wherever you listen.

Brad Stulberg is a bestselling author, executive coach, and one of my favorite thinkers on sustainable high performance. This conversation explores the dualities in personal development, discipline and self-compassion, striving and surrender, intensity and joy. We discuss the "humble badass" archetype, building resilient identities, why curiosity is the skeleton key, and excellence as an antidote to alienation. Along the way, Brad gets vulnerable about the childhood wounds that still drive his ambition—and I share my own. Amidst the chaos of self-help, Brad remains a principled voice of reason. Enjoy! Have you ever felt lonely in a house full of people? Like you're doing everything… carrying the mental load, keeping the peace, making it "easy" for everyone else—while quietly abandoning yourself? Imagine what could shift if you stopped choosing comfort and started choosing truth. Imagine speaking your needs without guilt. Imagine no longer feeling like you're raising another child in your marriage. Imagine being known—for who you really are. In this episode, we're diving into why so many women silence themselves in relationships, how childhood conditioning wires us to choose belonging over authenticity, and what actually happens when you finally speak your truth—even when it feels uncomfortable. This conversation is for the woman who knows deep down that this can't be it… and is ready to choose herself without burning everything to the ground. ✨ In this episode, you'll learn how to: ✔️ Spot the invisible emotional contracts running your relationship ✔️ Speak clearly and calmly without guilt or over-explaining ✔️ Reclaim your role as a partner — not a peacekeeper or parent ✔️ Stop accepting "what's left of him" and start asking for more ✔️ Choose truth in small, doable ways that ripple through your life You don't need to leave your life to change it. But you do need to stop abandoning yourself to keep others comfortable.

Chronic stress and burnout are often worn as a badge of honor, yet they can be powerful accelerators of biological aging. In this conversation, wellness entrepreneur and educator Erica Jones explains how persistent stress can disrupt sleep, increase inflammation, and influence mitochondrial function, hormones, and even gene expression through epigenetic pathways. Together, with the host, Dr. Gillian Lockitch, we focus on sustainable strategies that busy, high-capacity people can actually maintain - starting with the "unsexy basics" of hydration and sleep, plus boundaries that protect your nervous system. You'll also leave with one simple "try this today" reset to restore perspective when you feel overwhelmed. Erica Jones is a wellness entrepreneur and educator and the co-founder of Elevays, where she helps high performers build sustainable routines that support energy, focus, and longevity without burnout. With a background in biology and an early career in pharmaceutical sales, Erica transitioned into a root-cause approach to health through functional and holistic wellness. She has guided thousands of entrepreneurs, CEOs, and coaches toward greater clarity, balance, and resilience through practical, real-life strategies. One minute you're steady. Clear. Even hopeful. And the next minute you hear their name… see a movie scene… hit an anniversary… and you're right back on the floor wondering, What is wrong with me? Nothing is wrong with you. In this episode, I break down the real reason betrayal feels like an emotional rollercoaster—and why those swings don't mean you're failing. You'll learn the difference between knowledge (understanding what happened) and integration (your nervous system actually living from safety again), why relief can feel like healing (even when it isn't), and what it truly takes to calm the spirals for good—so you can stop questioning your progress and start rebuilding steady self-trust. Top 3 Takeaways Feeling better isn't the same as being healed. Insight can bring real relief—but relief can masquerade as completion. That “aha” moment is knowledge… not integration. Triggers don't mean you're back at square one. Hearing the affair partner's name, seeing a text, watching a movie scene—those reactions aren't proof you're broken. They're proof your body is still learning safety. Integration is where healing actually happens. Healing lives in your moment-to-moment responses: how you regulate, what you say, what you choose, and how you show up when your system is activated. Who This Episode Is For Women who feel steady one day and wrecked the next, and don't understand why Listeners who've read the books, binged the podcasts, gone to therapy… and still feel “better only sometimes” Anyone who keeps thinking, “Why am I still triggered?” and wants a grounded explanation that doesn't pathologize them Favorite Quote “Calm is not the same as change. Knowledge lives in the mind—integration lives in the body.” About Lora Lora Cheadle, JD, CHt is a former attorney turned betrayal recovery coach, hypnotherapist, and author who helps women rebuild their identity and reclaim their power after infidelity and profound emotional betrayal. Given Donald Trump's incessant abuse of the rule of law, the Constitution, and the American people, it's time for massive peaceful protests, it's time to wield our collective economic power, in short, it's time for We The People to reclaim our democracy.Jim Acosta recently hosted an event at the National Press Club in downtown Washington, DC, titled just that: "Reclaiming Our Democracy". State Representative James Talarico of Texas might have been our most requested guest last year. And he seemed to come out of nowhere.Talarico started breaking through with viral videos on TikTok and Instagram. And in those videos, he didn't sound like your typical Democrat. He's forthrightly Christian, quoting Scripture to defend progressive positions and challenging Christian nationalism on Christian grounds. And he is now running for Senate in Texas — in a primary field that includes U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett — in what will be one of the most important Senate races this year.So I wanted to have Talarico on the show to talk about his faith, his politics and the way those two have come together in this attentional moment. Because he's clearly saying things that people are hungry to hear.Mentioned:The Sabbath by Rabbi Heschel“#2352 James Talarico”, The Joe Rogan ExperienceCommon Sense by Thomas PaineBook Recommendations:Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtryJesus and the Disinherited by Howard ThurmanThe Upswing by Robert D.
