#290: What if the symptoms you've been told are “normal” are actually signs that something is very wrong? Josie sits down with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi (aka "Dr. A")—the renowned OB-GYN trusted by A-Listers like Kim Kardashian, Olivia Munn, and Hailey Bieber—for one of the most important conversations we've ever had on the podcast. From period pain and PCOS to endometriosis, fertility anxiety, unexplained weight gain, brain fog, hormone chaos, and the alarming ways women's symptoms are routinely dismissed by the healthcare system, Dr. A breaks down what every woman deserves to know about her body. Josie and Dr. A get into the real root causes behind common hormonal symptoms, how to know if your painful periods are a red flag, what most women misunderstand about fertility and egg count, the connection between metabolic health and hormones, and why becoming your own health advocate is non-negotiable. This information will change—and even save—lives. For Detailed Show Notes visit theeverygirlpodcast.com Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

On this deeply personal episode of SHE MD, co-host Mary Alice Haney sits down with her lifelong best friend, Stacey Hunt, to share the story of how listening to the podcast led Stacey to advocate for herself, and ultimately, catch her breast cancer early enough to save her life. After hearing the Olivia Munn episode and learning about lifetime breast cancer risk assessments, dense breast tissue, and the importance of MRIs for high-risk women, Stacey decided to take action. Despite having a recent “clear” mammogram and no symptoms, she pushed for additional testing after learning her lifetime risk score was 28%. That MRI revealed a tiny invasive lobular breast cancer hidden beneath extremely dense breast tissue; something her mammogram missed entirely.Together, Stacey, Mary Alice, and Thais Aliabadi have an emotional and eye-opening conversation about self-advocacy, early detection, dense breasts, genetic testing, the realities of a breast cancer diagnosis, treatment decisions, reconstruction options, menopause after cancer, and the emotional toll that comes with survivorship. This episode is both a powerful reminder that early detection saves lives and a call for every woman to know her lifetime risk of breast cancer.Subscribe to SHE MD Podcast for expert tips on PCOS, endometriosis, fertility, hormonal balance, mental health, and more. Inspired by the podcast's conversations around breast cancer risk assessments and early detection, Stacey advocated for additional screening despite having a recent negative mammogram and no symptoms. February 24, 2020, started out like any other day for journalist and television anchor Dion Lim of San Francisco's ABC News. Planning her pitches for the morning's editorial meeting, she checked her Instagram account and saw a message from someone she didn't recognize. Attached was a horrifying video in which men were beating and yelling racist slurs at an elderly Asian man who had been collecting cans in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco. Lim felt compelled to investigate the story, help the man who “looked freakishly like my dad,” and bring the perpetrators to justice. Thus began Lim's four-years-and-counting quest to bring attention to the appalling rise of anti-Asian hate and violence in America, which she chronicles in her new book. Featuring an emotional foreword by actress and outspoken anti-Asian harassment advocate Olivia Munn, Amplify! My Fight for Asian America (from Third State Books) brings readers on an eye-opening journey alongside Lim, who has unwittingly become a national hero for her relentless fight for Asian American visibility. Through deeply personal anecdotes about her own life as a Chinese American, exclusive interviews with survivors, activists, and historians, and incisive historical context, she provides the very first book to tackle one of the biggest political and social controversies of this century from the perspective of the AAPI community. Come meet Lim and hear her story. See more Michelle Meow Show programs at Commonwealth Club World Affairs of California. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Tonight on TV Party Tonight, Jesse and Mark revisit Season One of HBO's The Newsroom, Aaron Sorkin's cable news drama that premiered June 24, 2012. Starring Jeff Daniels as anchor Will McAvoy, the series follows the staff of fictional network ACN as they attempt to produce serious journalism inside a system driven by ratings, corporate pressure, and personal dysfunction. Featuring Emily Mortimer, Olivia Munn, Sam Waterston, Dev Patel, Alison Pill, John Gallagher Jr., and Thomas Sadoski, the show blends newsroom chaos with Sorkin's signature rapid-fire dialogue and moral grandstanding. Critics praised the performances—Daniels won an Emmy—and the ambition of the series, while others criticized its smug tone, hindsight politics, and lecture-heavy writing. More than a decade later, The Newsroom remains a fascinating time capsule of the early 2010s media landscape and the growing battle between journalism, entertainment, and outrage culture.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

Victor opens with podcast news (an upcoming discussion of The Pit finale and a Patreon announcement) and recommends thematically linked shows including Euphoria S3, Apple TV+'s 'Margo's Got Money Troubles' (Elle Fanning as a young mother who turns to OnlyFans), and Netflix's Beef S2. Joined by co-host Sona, they discuss her travel, The Studio, and briefly Imperfect Women. They then break down Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 Episode 3, focusing on Coop being caught by Ash's hidden camera, the stolen book's personal value, and the reveal that Ash bought it back via a broker, forcing Coop to manage a $1B fund to help Ash evade OFAC sanctions. They praise the Coop/Ash dynamic and Olivia Munn date scene, question whether Ash is running a larger sting, and criticize the show's many subplots (Mel, the dog, teens' romance, Elena's citizenship juxtaposed with cleaning work, Barney laundering money through Nick's gym, and the sister's teaching storyline) and Coop's avoidable self-destruction. mailto:needssomeintroduction@gmail.com 00:00 Podcast Intro And Setup 00:58 Show News Patreon Update 01:38 Euphoria Season Three Themes 04:59 Margo's Money Troubles Preview 10:55 OnlyFans And Community Angle 13:28 Beef Season Two Recommendation 24:28 Sona Joins 27:37 What To Watch Recommendations 33:38 Episode Three Reactions 34:27 Ashe Book Sting Reveal 40:59 OFAC And Dark Money Stakes 43:38 Coop Back In Demand 44:21 Corbin Returns Tease 45:21 Too Many Plotlines 45:57 Billion Dollar Scam Math 47:03 Coop Money Choices 48:56 Ashe Pretender Vibes 51:11 Marsden And Munn Date 54:10 Mel Dog And Daughter 57:56 Elena Citizenship Irony 01:00:21 Barney Laundering Scheme 01:03:25 Teen Romance Fatigue 01:05:48 Movie Clues And Heists 01:09:15 Coop Self Destruction Rant 01:11:20 Sister Music Class Plot 01:14:27 Wrap Up And Next Week

Eight years after producer Robert Rodriguez had Adrien Brody went and fought the Predator -and Predator dogs, and bigger Predators, and Lawrence Fishburne- original Predator co-star Shane Black decided to take the reigns and see if he could make something a little more universally successful. The result, 2018's The Predator. Yet, once again, 20th Century Fox stepped in and decided to make life a living hell for all involved. Scenes were switched, a friend of Black's had a small scene cut due to Olivia Munn finding out the other man in the scene -who was also a friend of Black's- had a checkered past. And the ending ended up getting completely reworked. So what do Garrett, Matt, and Adam have to say? This, was the podcast Matt and Garrett had been looking forward to since they started this series due to Adam once again having reservations to watching a movie in a franchise again due to an utter hatred for the film. It happened with Alien Covenant. Yet, unlike that 2017 film, Adam hadn't finished watching The Predator until this viewing. Did he warm up to it? Well, let's just say this is one of those podcasts where Garrett and Matt just kind of stand back and let Adam go. The result, is one of the most one sided hatred ladened shows the guys have done since 2017's The Last Jedi. Listen in to see how the others feel!
