The project involves extending Railroad Avenue to Terry Lane and realigning Terry Lane with Pine Street. The loan is part of a larger announcement by Governor Brian Kemp, with a total of $17.3 million in loans and grants being awarded to seven projects. The improvements in Lilburn aim to enhance access to Highway 29 and State Route 8, supporting redevelopment efforts in Old Town Lilburn. The city has been planning various improvements and redevelopment initiatives, including transforming a former building into an entertainment venue, considering a parking deck, and discussing a luxury apartment development.
