Sadly however, so many of us are stuck in our old ways when we need to open our eyes because God is doing something new.

Is your faith like walking on water, without doubting Jesus' power? Do you dare to leave the boat? Pastor Francis Kalembera continues with our theme of Deepening our Roots, by taking us through the book of 2 Peter 1 - encouraging us to face our fears and to keep our eyes focused on Jesus Christ. Although we may feel like failure at times, just as Peter felt when he denied Christ and had little faith in Him, we are reminded throughout Scripture that God uses imperfect people for His purpose. If Jesus can use faith the size of a mustard seed to work miracles, just imagine what He will do if we deepen our roots in Christ who strengthens and grows our faith.

It doesn't matter what it looks like where you are today - good, bad or indifferent. Today is the day of new beginning. You can start afresh today. You can choose to do it right now. You can choose to deepen your roots into the soil of discipleship, so you are consistently and constantly becoming transformed into the image of Christ Jesus. Pastor Harlyn Purdy returns to the Book of Isaiah 61 for the second and final installment of the sermon titled, "Deepening our Roots".

Of all the ways the Lord God Almighty could have chosen to relate to humanity, He chose the language of family. Therefore it is no wonder the family unit has always played an important role in the outworking of God's purposes on earth. However in today’s demanding world we find that more and more parents are not keeping to what really matters, rather neglect their personal devotional lives, their husbands or wives, and their children. Today's message reminds us of the scriptural priority of God first, family second, career and ministry third. Although parents are responsible to provide for their children's material needs, their primary role is to provide spiritual and moral training of their children. We all have a need to be loved, cherished, protected, and valued. Many times earthly fathers do not live up to the ideal, God promises that, in Him, no one has to be without a perfect Father. And we can come to our heavenly Father through our Savior Jesus Christ.

A continuation of Pastor Francis Kalembera's sermon titled, "Stewarding Spiritual Gifts" where we focus on the motivational gift of prophecy.

Pastor Harlyn Purdy teaches that "Stewarding the Gospel" is more than just preaching the Gospel of salvation. But it is also about having transformed lives through the Kingdom of God in Christ Jesus. We’re reminded that although the church is successful in preaching the Gospel, it fails in discipleship. Pastor Francis Kalembera continues with our May theme: "Managing Devine Treasure." 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 10, reads: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." God wants us to know that our gifts are not an accident of genetics and experience. He has intentionally given us the gifts we have for the progress and joy of one another’s faith. Therefore, He has entrusted our gifts to us primarily for the benefit of others. Our lives are not about pursuing our dreams. Our real significance comes from God choosing us in Christ, gifting us, and deploying us in his kingdom for his purposes.

We continue with our May theme: "Managing Divine Treasure". In today's message, Pastor Harlyn Purdy teaches us that we all have received a gift of ability from God which we need to nurture, develop and train for Kingdom purpose. Although God has given us a choice on how to use our abilities, every choice we make matters when "Stewarding Spiritual Gifts".

He also reminds us that work is not a curse but a blessing from God, given right at the beginning of creation before sin entered the picture.

We’ve all been there before, where we just wanted to quit. You pray day in and day out but you find no positive change in your life. You start comparing your life with others and think why it is only you that is going through hardship and troubles whilst others seem to be prospering and blessed. As the days, months and perhaps even years go by, your worries of life grow and you start loosing hope. Pastor Harlyn Purdy reminds us that even though you may not see God’s work in your life right now during your suffering, He hasn’t forgotten you. And just as Jesus told his disciples to always pray and not give up, we too need to remember what to do before giving up.

What is love? Love is defined in the dictionary as an intense feeling of deep affection to someone. In fact this is the kind of love that we hear and see in Hollywood movies and music of today, which rarely portrays the type of love that we actually need. That's because worldly love is focused on the temporal and to one self, often to the exclusion of God and others. Biblical Godly love, agape, is a stark contrast to the love of the world. It's unconditional love. It's more than just a feeling or emotion. The Bible says, "Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and truth", (1 John 3:18). But when we forgive it leads to purification of the Spirit and sets you free from carrying a heavy burden.

By temptation the devil wants to bring the worst out of you. But the same temptation God wants to bring the best out of you.
