Over the course of 28 years of marriage, Rebekah and Gabe Lyons have learned a lot—about not taking their own opinions and preferences too seriously; about the need to understand each other's pasts; and about the hidden gifts that even negative emotions can offer us. Having compiled many of those lessons into a new book titled The Fight for Us, Rebekah and Gabe talk with Nate Dewberry this week about those and many other marriage topics, including how to keep minor differences of opinion from snowballing into big fights—and what husbands can do when they hear the dreaded “I just don't think we're connecting” from their wives.Segments/chapters0:00 How Rebekah and Gabe met—and what they know now that they wish they'd known then5:27 What prompted them to write The Fight for Us9:13 Working on yourselves individually so that you're stronger as a couple17:47 Advice for husbands who've been told “We're just not connecting”22:07 What it means to “choose covenant over consumerism”26:29 The cultural “headwinds” against marriage, and how we can counteract them30:32 Closing thoughts: How community has aided Rebekah and Gabe's marriageVisit The Redeemed's website for downloadable discussion question sets, show notes, inspirational articles, more resources, or to share your testimony.Join our Exclusive Newsletter: Signup today and be the first to get notified on upcoming podcasts and new resources! The Redeemed is an organization giving men from all backgrounds a supportive, judgment-free environment, grounded in Christian love without demanding participation in any faith tradition, where they can open up about their challenges, worries, and failures—and celebrate their triumphs over those struggles. In this episode of Arise + Abide, Curtis and Sally reflect on Hosea chapter 3, where Hosea is called to redeem his unfaithful wife as a living picture of God's unfailing love for His people. Together, they explore how this passage reveals the depth of God's commitment to Israel despite betrayal and idolatry, and how it points forward to His covenant of love fulfilled in Christ. The conversation highlights how true love is rooted in relationship and care rather than physical desire, and how God's unconditional love calls us to extend grace to others who may not meet our expectations. Curtis and Sally also challenge listeners to consider where they may be seeking peace, security, or identity outside of God, and remind us that our calling as followers of Christ is to shine His light and embody His love to all people. The episode closes with a look at God's promise that, in the last days, people will tremble in awe of His goodness, recognizing Him alone as the true source of life and hope.

This week on The Redeemed Man podcast, pastor and mental health advocate Will Hutcherson joins us to shed light on the mental health struggles facing today's teens. Drawing from extensive research, Will breaks down the science behind teenage angst in a way that's both practical and relatable, equipping dads with tools to better understand and connect with their kids. In the powerful conclusion to their four-part series, Rusty and Heather share the road to redemption after the painful confession that nearly destroyed their marriage. They pick up right where the story left off, walking through the raw and honest moments that followed the revelation—when non-negotiables had to be set, boundaries had to be drawn, and a clear line in the sand was established. They describe the moment of true brokenness that led to real repentance, and how that became the starting point of a long, difficult, but ultimately beautiful journey of healing. This episode highlights what rebuilding trust really looks like, the reality that forgiveness is both a decision and a daily choice, and the intentional work required to lay a new foundation for a marriage. Rusty and Heather also share the practical and spiritual tools that helped them—counseling, mentorship, marriage intensives, and the balance of navigating personal healing while fighting for their relationship. They reveal how God used their deepest pain to create a ministry that now brings hope and direction to couples around the world. For anyone who has ever wondered if a marriage can truly be redeemed after betrayal and heartbreak, this episode is living proof that with God, not only is it possible—but a stronger, more beautiful marriage can rise from the ashes. Many believers know they've been redeemed, but few understand what they've been redeemed into. In this episode, we uncover that identity through Grafted Branches: The Identity of the Redeemed—a teaching that reveals how those in Messiah are part of the people of Israel and heirs to the covenant promises. This teaching restores the biblical identity of the redeemed and shows why Torah is for all who are grafted in through Messiah. Learn how your role as a grafted branch shapes your calling, inheritance, and future.

Typically, redemption involves an exchange of things, setting free from obligations and a transfer of ownership. Pastor Luck Yong examines how the Bible uses the word “redemption”, to clarify some of our possible misconceptions of our salvation, and how we can live out the truth of being God's redeemed people. Pastor Lim Luck Yong delivered his sermon from Colossians 1:13-14.

Adam thought he was doing himself a favor by never trusting anyone, but it turns out that it only ended up hurting him. Katie Hauck's powerful testimony will transform how you view faithfulness and purpose in seemingly small acts of obedience. With raw vulnerability, Katie shares her journey from deep shame about her blended family to discovering beauty in brokenness, ultimately reaching millions through prison ministries after years of apparent ministry failure. Her perspective on Isaiah—who prophesied faithfully for sixty years, likely died believing he'd failed, yet became one of history's greatest prophets—offers profound encouragement for anyone wondering if their efforts matter. "The Lord may be using you in ways you can't see," Katie reminds us, challenging our culture's obsession with immediate, measurable results. Katie's fresh insight on Jesus feeding the 5,000 might forever change how you read this familiar story. Why did only one boy offer his lunch? Katie suggests others either hoarded their provisions or believed their small offering wasn't enough to matter. "God doesn't need it to be enough," she explains. "He just needs your obedience to give what you have, and He'll multiply it." For anyone struggling with shame about past mistakes, feeling inadequate in ministry, or wondering if small acts of faithfulness truly matter, this conversation offers life-giving perspective. You'll walk away with renewed confidence that God works through our broken pieces, insufficient offerings, and humble obedience to create extraordinary impact—often in ways we may never witness in our lifetime. What small act of obedience might God be asking of you today? What "not enough" offering is He waiting for you to surrender? Abandoned at birth and raised in Romanian orphanages, Lucian Mastata knows the pain of rejection, neglect, and loneliness. In this heartfelt conversation, Lucian shares how a chance visit to a Christmas carol service as a teenager introduced him to the hope of Jesus and changed everything. As he continued to return to church, he discovered that God was not a distant figure but a loving Father who could heal the wounds of his past and give him purpose for the future. We talk about the emotional toll of growing up as an orphan — the shame, stigma, low self-worth, and the healing power of God's love. Lucian now leads one of the largest Christian music festivals in Eastern Europe, HeartBeats, creating space for the next generation to encounter Christ in a real and relevant way. His story is one of humility, perseverance, and radical hope. It's a powerful reminder that no matter what happened in our past, God can redeem any situation.
