Iowa television news anchor Jodi Huisentruit has been missing since June 27, 1995. The Long Prairie, Minnesota native is believed to have been abducted from the parking lot of her Mason City apartment complex between 4:00-4:30 on that early summer morning. She never showed up for work and has been missing ever since that day 25 years ago. They saw an opportunity to work on one of the biggest missing person cases in the Midwest: the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit. From 1973 to 1986, an unknown rapist and murderer was terrorizing northern California.Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. was arrested in 2016, having finally been identified as the so-called Golden State Killer.DeAngelo committed at least 13 murders, 50 rapes, and 120 burglaries. Tony Jackson was living two blocks from Jodi Huisentruit's workplace in Mason City, Iowa - and one mile from her apartment - when the television news anchor disappeared on June 27, 1995.Jackson was later convicted of a series of rapes in the Twin Cities area.
