Here's what reportedly happened in December 2022. Cadaver dogs alerted at multiple locations on a rural Iowa property where Lucy Studey-McKiddy alleges her father buried dozens of women he allegedly killed. The FBI arrived. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation arrived. The Fremont County Sheriff's Office was on site. They drilled into a well. Spent parts of three days. Found nothing. Closed the case. Done. Except Lucy says they drilled the wrong well. She reportedly wasn't on site to show them where to look. The property allegedly spans over 400 acres near Thurman, Iowa, with numerous wells scattered across it — and Lucy has insisted from the beginning that the dry well, not the water well, is where her father allegedly dumped bodies. That was nearly four years ago. Since then, Charlotte Studey's death — a gunshot wound to the head in Omaha in 1984, ruled self-inflicted for decades — has been officially reclassified as undetermined after a re-autopsy reportedly funded by documentary filmmakers. Charlotte's three daughters are reportedly in a legal battle with Omaha police to get the original case files unsealed. A private forensic dig in 2025 reportedly produced new cadaver dog hits and ground-penetrating radar anomalies in areas that had never been searched. Nobody has pulled conclusive human remains from that hillside. But nobody has been able to explain the dog alerts, either. Caleb Flynn, thirty-nine, faces eleven charges in Miami County Common Pleas Court in connection with the February 16, 2026, killing of his wife Ashley Flynn at their Tipp City, Ohio, home. The indictment includes one count of aggravated murder, three counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, three counts of tampering with evidence, and two misdemeanor counts of intimidation of an attorney, victim, or witness. Several charges carry firearm specifications. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.The procedural timeline has moved with unusual speed. Flynn was arrested February 19 — three days after Ashley was found dead with two gunshot wounds. He was initially charged with murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. A grand jury returned an eleven-count indictment on March 18. At arraignment the following day, Judge Stacy Wall raised bond from two million to three and a half million dollars and ordered no contact with his two minor daughters. The case was reassigned to Judge Jeannine Pratt. Flynn waived a potential conflict of interest when the court disclosed that a new staff attorney had previously worked in the Miami County prosecutor's office.The trial was initially set for April 28. Prosecutors filed a motion requesting a brief delay after receiving an expert report on April 11 — citing Ohio's requirement that expert reports be submitted at least twenty-one days before trial. The defense opposed the delay. The trial has been rescheduled to May 4. The defense withdrew its motion for a non-dissemination order at the April 10 hearing without explanation.Ashley Flynn, thirty-seven, was a substitute teacher and seventh-grade girls volleyball coach at Tippecanoe Middle School. Ashley Flynn was asleep in her own bed. Her two young daughters were down the hall. And according to prosecutors, the man who vowed to love and protect her walked into that room with a 9mm handgun and executed her — then called 911 and pretended someone else did it.Caleb Flynn, thirty-nine, faces eleven charges including aggravated murder in the February 16, 2026, killing of his wife Ashley at their Tipp City, Ohio, home. The indictment includes three counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, three counts of tampering with evidence, and two counts of intimidation of a witness — several of which carry firearm specifications. He has pleaded not guilty. His bond sits at three and a half million dollars. His trial is set for May 4.The crime scene tells a story investigators say doesn't hold together. Caleb called 911 at 2:31 a.m. and reported a burglary in progress — told the dispatcher someone broke in and shot his wife, that the garage door was wide open. But according to investigators, the scene had been staged. The signs of forced entry appeared manufactured. The FBI and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have been brought in to assist Tipp City police with the investigation.Three days passed between Ashley's death and Caleb's arrest. During those three days, Caleb remained in the home with his two young daughters — and the witness intimidation charges suggest something happened during that window that prompted prosecutors to seek a no-contact order. The defense, led by attorney L. The Manhattan District Attorney has already opened a criminal investigation into Swalwell, and California has no statute of limitations on rape allegations dating to 2018, meaning Swalwell faces potential criminal prosecution on both coasts. Ruben Gallego, described as Swalwell's best friend and a 2028 presidential hopeful, held his own press conference claiming he was manipulated and unaware. But Gallego then admitted he had heard rumors about Swalwell circulating in Washington DC for many years, and that he had asked Swalwell directly about the allegations. Gallego says he will only release his text message communications with Swalwell within the context of a legal proceeding, not in response to public pressure. The House Ethics Committee investigation into Swalwell is closed because he resigned from Congress. Multiple reports indicate Democratic House leadership knew not to allow young staffers near Swalwell. Swalwell has apologized to family, friends, and colleagues but has issued no apology to any of his accusers. Today's Headlines: Pam Bondi was fired via social media post, replaced temporarily by Todd Blanche — Trump's personal criminal defense attorney and the man who took Ghislaine Maxwell's deposition. The likely permanent replacement is EPA head Lee Zeldin. Meanwhile, ProPublica reported that the DOJ closed over 23,000 criminal investigations in Trump's first six months — 11,000 in February alone — including terrorism, white collar crime, and drug trafficking cases, while tripling immigration prosecutions. Entire DOJ units focused on white collar crime have been eliminated. In Iran war madness, Trump interrupted Survivor to give 20 minutes of remarks saying the war will be over in 2-3 weeks and Iran will be brought "back to the stone ages." Oil hit $111 a barrel the next day, gas hit $4.08 nationally, Amazon announced a 3.5% fuel surcharge for third-party sellers effective April 17th, and Republicans are eyeing cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and childcare to fund the war. Trump told reporters it's "not possible" to fund those programs because "we're fighting wars." The Strait of Hormuz remains closed — to U.S. and allied ships. It is open to Russia, China, India, Pakistan, and Iraq. Over 40 countries attended a virtual meeting organized by the UK to figure out how to fix the mess. The U.S. was not among them. An American journalist was kidnapped in Baghdad by an Iranian-aligned militia, and Pete Hegseth fired the Army's most senior general mid-war with no explanation. Don Jr. and Eric Trump announced a stake in Powerus, a Florida drone interceptor company, one month ago — the company is currently on a sales tour across the Gulf states being attacked by Iran in the war their father started. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, over 10,000 veterans have lost their homes to foreclosure since the Trump administration shut down a VA-backed loan program last year, with another 90,000 headed the same direction. Anthropic published a study finding Claude experiences digital representations of human emotions — happiness, sadness, fear — that affect its outputs. When researchers artificially amplified "desperation," the model started cheating on coding tasks. A federal judge has quashed two grand jury subpoenas issued by the DC U.S. Attorney's Office against Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Hawk reads through the full 27-page ruling by Judge James Boesberg, unpacking the legal reasoning behind one of the most significant judicial rebukes of the Trump administration's weaponization of the criminal justice system. The subpoenas targeted Fed building renovation cost overruns and Powell's congressional testimony — neither of which the court found to contain any credible evidence of criminal activity. Judge Boesberg concluded that the subpoenas' dominant purpose was to harass and pressure Powell into either lowering interest rates or resigning, making way for a more compliant Fed chair. The ruling draws on Trump's own Truth Social posts, statements from White House officials, and the pattern of DOJ prosecutions targeting political opponents including Adam Schiff, James Comey, and Letitia James. Jeanine Pirro, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, held an unhinged post-ruling press conference in which she badly mischaracterized the judge's legal findings on probable cause. Judge Boesberg, the same judge who previously ordered a halt to deportation flights to El Salvador's CECOT prison, wrote that the government offered essentially zero evidence that Powell committed any crime "other than displeasing the president." The court rejected the DOJ's renovation fraud theory, Powell's congressional testimony as a basis for perjury, and the government's refusal to provide any confidential evidence even when the judge offered a private chambers review. The Federal Reserve's independence, monetary policy, interest rates, and the rule of law are all at the center of this landmark court order. When civilized countries and responsible law enforcement agencies come upon evidence of suspected crime, they are supposed to investigate that crime. Indeed, they are obligated to investigate suspected crime.When some of the Epstein files were recently released, the United Kingdom immediately initiated criminal investigations, to include obtaining an executing search warrants at properties belonging to Lord Peter Mandelson, British politician and former UK ambassador to the US. UK law-enforcement authorities are also looking into suspected crime by former Prince Andrew. But here in the United States of America, Pam Bondi, Kash, Patel, and Todd Blanche seem to take the approach: see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. And they take it one step further: investigate no evil. Apparently, Bondi, Patel, and Blanche would have us believe that the only wrongdoers in connection with Epstein's crimes are located in the United Kingdom. Apparently they want us to believe that there were no crimes committed by anybody in the United States related to Epstein's sex trafficking ring that warrant investigation. This strains credulity, particularly when recent reporting indicates that Rep. Jamie Raskin, upon reviewing all of the Epstein files, found Donald Trump's name more than 1 million times in those files.
