We talk about the rise to economic and political power of the family of Manuel Zepeda and his daughter Elena, their weaponization of the judiciary against community defenders resisting a hijacking in 2014 of the traditional community assembly and the years of organizing by Mazateca women whose loved ones face long prison sentences. He's still lacking access to an ADA-accessible bathroom and shower unit and has not had his property or commissary card returned. According to his supporters, Xinachtli is still experiencing weakness in his legs and has now been forced back into a completely inaccessible space, where he faces a serious risk of another life-threatening fall or injury. Xinachtli's supporters demand remains: Xinachtli must be moved out of McConnell into an ADA-accessible facility that can address his medical needs. McConnell has already proven it can't and won't provide adequate resources to care for Xinachtli in his current state. They are putting his life in danger. Pero bueno, el avión sale a las 6 y media de la tarde, así que podré pasar la mañana con mi familia, abrir los regalos y comer juntos antes de marcharme al aeropuerto. Mi mujer vendrá unos días más tarde. Bien, para comenzar este 2026 he encontrado una buena noticia, que siempre se agradece. Se trata de una información sobre una enfermedad de la que seguro has oído hablar, la ELA, la Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica. Como sabes, estamos hablando de una enfermedad grave que afecta a los músculos. Las personas que tienen ELA pierden fuerza poco a poco y, con el tiempo, no pueden moverse, hablar ni respirar sin ayuda. Esto ocurre porque las neuronas que controlan los movimientos dejan de funcionar. Es una enfermedad progresiva y, por desgracia, no tiene cura. En España, la ELA es poco frecuente, pero muy seria. Hay entre 4.000 y 4.500 personas que la padecen, y cada año se diagnostican unos 900 nuevos casos. Cada día, tres personas reciben el diagnóstico y otras tres fallecen por esta enfermedad. La mayoría de los casos aparecen entre los 60 y 69 años. Los primeros síntomas suelen ser pérdida de fuerza en brazos o piernas, o problemas para hablar y tragar. El diagnóstico no es rápido: normalmente tarda más de un año porque los síntomas son parecidos a los de otras enfermedades. En resumen, la ELA no solo afecta al cuerpo, también cambia la vida emocional y social de las personas y sus familias. Por eso, proyectos como el que vamos a comentar hoy son tan importantes, porque la noticia habla de devolver la voz a alguien que la ha perdido, y eso significa devolverle una parte de su identidad. Por eso te decía que es una buena noticia, aunque el contexto no lo sea, porque aunque puedan recuperar su voz, los enfermos de ELA van a terminar falleciendo. Pero nos quedamos con la parte positiva, con la posibilidad de que vuelvan a comunicarse con sus familias a pesar de todas las dificultades que atraviesan. Así que, si te parece, escuchamos ya la noticia de Radio Nacional de España y luego te explico el vocabulario más importante, que hoy es bastante amplio. Vamos allá. “Devolver la voz a una persona enferma de ELA para que pueda volver a expresarse de forma oral. En eso ha trabajado un equipo de investigación en la comunidad valenciana y lo han logrado en un proyecto pionero a base de inteligencia artificial. Estamos en Valencia, Miguel Ángel Hortz. El proyecto desarrollado para Fran Vivó, que padece ELA, trasciende lo tecnológico, ya que se trata de la recreación fiel de la voz de una persona utilizando un sistema de clonación basado en inteligencia artificial. Jordi Linares es responsable del estudio. Con el uso de la inteligencia artificial, ser capaces de poder recrear de nuevo la voz de Fran Vivó, afectado por ELA, y que de alguna manera vuelva a poder expresarse con sus matices, con su prosodia, con su particular forma de hablar, tanto en castellano como en su valenciano natal. El equipo afrontó un gran reto, reconstruir la voz de Fran Vivó con apenas 20 minutos de audio en castellano y valenciano, su lengua natal. Han trabajado a partir de audios de WhatsApp y otros previos a que le hicieran la traqueotomía. De esta forma se demuestra también el poder humanizador de la inteligencia artificial, a través de la cual se expresa ahora Fran. Me siento súper agradecido a los que habéis trabajado para llevar a cabo este proyecto. Los investigadores analizaron su dinámica vocal, incorporaron modulaciones emocionales y crearon un modelo adaptativo.” La verdad es que parece un milagro escuchar de nuevo la voz de una persona que ya no puede hablar, pero por suerte la tecnología avanza muy rápido, y en casos como este es una gran ayuda. Bien, vamos con las palabras y expresiones que pueden resultar más interesantes para ti. De forma oral: Expresarse hablando, usando la voz, no por escrito. -En el examen tienes que responder de forma oral. -Aprender a comunicarse de forma oral es muy importante en un idioma. Proyecto pionero: Proyecto innovador, el primero en hacer algo nuevo. -Este es un proyecto pionero en el uso de energía solar. -Participamos en un proyecto pionero para enseñar idiomas con realidad virtual. Trascender: Ir más allá de lo normal, tener importancia que supera los límites. -Su trabajo trasciende lo artístico, porque también tiene impacto social. -Este invento trasciende la tecnología: cambia la vida de las personas. Recreación fiel: Copia exacta o muy parecida a la original. -Hicieron una recreación fiel del cuadro famoso. -La película es una recreación fiel de la historia real. Clonación: Proceso para crear una copia idéntica de algo. -La clonación de voz permite imitar la forma de hablar de una persona. -En biología, la clonación se usa para reproducir células idénticas. Afectado: Persona que sufre una enfermedad o problema. -Los afectados por la tormenta recibieron ayuda. -Fran es afectado por ELA, una enfermedad grave. Matices: Pequeñas diferencias o detalles que cambian el significado o la forma. -Su voz tiene matices que la hacen única. -Hay matices entre “feliz” y “contento”. Prosodia: Ritmo, entonación y melodía al hablar. -La prosodia es importante para sonar natural en otro idioma. -Cada persona tiene una prosodia diferente al hablar. Traqueotomía: Operación para abrir un agujero en la tráquea y ayudar a respirar. -Después de la traqueotomía, no podía hablar. -La traqueotomía se hace en casos graves para salvar la vida. Llevar a cabo: Realizar algo, hacerlo realidad. -Vamos a llevar a cabo el proyecto este año. -Llevar a cabo un plan requiere organización. Modulaciones emocionales: Cambios en la voz para expresar emociones (alegría, tristeza, sorpresa). -Las modulaciones emocionales hacen que la voz suene más natural. -En teatro, los actores usan modulaciones emocionales para transmitir sentimientos. Modelo adaptativo: Sistema que se ajusta y aprende según la información que recibe. -El modelo adaptativo mejora con cada nueva grabación. -Los coches autónomos usan modelos adaptativos para conducir mejor. La iniciativa, diseñada para Fran Vivó, afectado por esta enfermedad neurodegenerativa, supera lo meramente técnico, ya que consiste en una reproducción fidedigna de su voz mediante un sistema de imitación vocal basado en IA. Jordi Linares, coordinador del estudio, explica que el objetivo era recrear el timbre original de Fran, con sus particularidades, su entonación característica y su modo singular de hablar, tanto en castellano como en su idioma natal, el valenciano. El desafío fue considerable: reconstruir su voz a partir de apenas veinte minutos de grabaciones en ambos idiomas, extraídas de mensajes de WhatsApp y otros audios previos a la traqueotomía. Este logro pone de manifiesto el carácter humanizador de la inteligencia artificial, que ahora permite a Fran comunicarse con naturalidad. Antes, las familias tenían que esperar meses para recibir ayuda, y eso era un problema muy grande. Ahora, con esta ley, todo será más rápido y más justo. La ley dice que el reconocimiento de la discapacidad y la dependencia será inmediato. ¿Qué significa esto? Que si una persona necesita ayuda para todo, no tendrá que esperar tanto tiempo para recibirla. Por ejemplo, si alguien necesita cuidados las 24 horas, podrá recibir dinero para pagar a cuidadores. Pueden ser más de nueve mil euros al mes. Esto es mucho dinero, pero es necesario para que la persona viva con dignidad. Además, la ley ayuda a conseguir cosas importantes, como sillas de ruedas, aparatos para comunicarse o camas especiales. También habrá un registro nacional con todos los casos de ELA. ¿Por qué? Para que el gobierno sepa cuántas personas necesitan ayuda y pueda organizar mejor los recursos. En resumen, esta ley significa menos papeleo, menos burocracia, y más apoyo para unas cuatro mil personas en España. Es un gran paso para mejorar su calidad de vida. Elle commence même à remplacer certains emplois et suscite de ce fait une inquiétude grandissante. Aux Etats-Unis, la mutation a déjà commencé. Dans le secteur du conseil, le géant Accenture a annoncé pas moins de 12 000 licenciements. L'ampleur de ce plan social est inédite dans ce domaine d'activité et traduit une certitude : l'adaptation à l'IA n'est plus une option. Un signal fort dans un secteur historiquement fondé sur le capital humain.Dans le secteur bancaire européen, ce sont de plus de 200 000 emplois qui pourraient être supprimés d'ici à 2030, selon une étude de la banque Morgan Stanley relayée par le Financial Times. Ces perspectives posent question quant à la façon dont le marché du travail va être façonné dans le futur. Malgré les craintes d'une menace pour l'emploi, des analyses soulignent que l'IA n'élimine pas les postes mais transforme les missions, en concentrant l'effort humain sur les tâches complexes et stratégiques. Si l'IA automatise déjà une grande partie des tâches répétitives, l'humain demeure en effet un atout dans de nombreux domaines, comme les relations commerciales.Les États-Unis, qui se déjà sont emparés de ce marché, cherchent à accroitre leur avance. Dans cette optique, le président Donald Trump a lancé il y a un an le projet Stargate. Et commence à préoccuper les investisseurs et les autorités financières.
