A Podcast where we take brand new scripts that listeners have submitted and read them for the very first time on air and add our own flavor, and music, along the way. Voice actors and comedians stop by to lend their talents as well! Flip A Script is half produced radio play, half wild improv comedy tangents. Want to submit a script? Please do! Send them to flipascriptpodcast@gmail.com and we'll read them!
We're back! And this week we are joined by the ever talented Ali Spagnola! She lends her voice and clever wit to a tale about a man who has made a new life for himself in a humble town. It was written by another show favorite, Haris Hodzic. Thank you so much to Ali and Haris both. Mike talks Nightrider, Adario tells us about the new TWINS movie, and no one can quite figure out where all these "nicks" are coming from!
This week we all discuss the one rule that comes with Snapchat - DON'T SAVE THE PICTURE!! We are joined by the always awesome Chris Bower this week as we read a new script from Jacques Mouledoux & Ryan Casalino. Thanks guys!
This week, jump into the mind of a child and travel to a magical place in"Mushroom Circle" brought to us this week by Amanda Griswold! Thanks for submitting, Amanda! Young Becky gets in a little over her head when she journeys to find a Fae who isn't so happy upon their meeting. Mike proves he is more cultured, Adario has an awkward conversation with his mom, and Joey can only think of one think when anyone anywhere mentions mushrooms. Enjoy!
Let's take a trip to FANTASY LAND! This weeks episode is brought to us by Bryant Jen - where a father desperately tries to save his son and will do whatever he deems necessary...MAGIC STYLE! Joey says goodbye to Movie Pass, Adario becomes inspired by South Africa, and Mike tries to find his significant other by kissing in the dark. Say whaaaa?!
This week we have a FAN-FRIGGIN-TABULOUS double feature from writer Dane Chaves-Delaney. Thanks DANE! We return to the Western world and discuss name-sakes, and also follow the aftermath of a missing food item - spoiler, it goes sideways real quick... Joey attempts to capture the sound of a wink on the microphone, Adario describes to us a brand new Sandler/Schneider flick, and Mike gets called out on his confident, yet completely wrong, knowledge.
This week we travel inside a child's mind as he desperately tries to recruit a new hero for an impending war. COMMANDO RAVEN is sent to us by Haris Hodzic! Thank you so much Haris! Mike channels his inner child, Adario can't seem to beat this summer heat, and Joey reminisces about "The Usual Suspects" even though it stars, you know.... yeah. Take a listen!
WE'RE BACK! Yeah..yeah...we were gone for a hot minute, but lets not focus on that. We're back with a brand new script! This week is brought to us by Benson Saddlebrook with his script "Killer Boss" and also we have a very special guest Natalie V! What a just straight up baller episode we have for you folks. Just listen and enjoy and definitely dont think about how late and absent we were. Really. Mike tells us the similarities between cheap hotels and tight pants, Adario bans Andy Dick, and Joey explains why he can't let his friends search "pop corn" on his phone.
We read a script about an overly passionate delivery man who will do anything to deliver his cargo. Literally, anything. Joey sees Al Pacino, Mike discusses the exposed nipple ratio, and Adario talks about that one time he ordered a...well... dragon "thing" off the internet.
It's important to pay attention to the road when driving. But sometimes, urges strike without warning, as is the case in this script sent in by Brad Vance! Michael Sanaiha joins us this week and we talk about some of the dumb things we've all done while driving. Adario explains why it's easier in Kentucky, Mike blows a tire and takes off his shirt, and Joey seems to have no sympathy for his fellow samaritans.
This week we go deep in the woods for a truly scary story. Gather around the campfire and make sure your earbuds are in nice and snug, because this podcast is bringing the SPOOKS! This week's script was sent in by Luke St. Germaine and tells the story of two people who go into the woods to hunt for mushrooms and end up finding more than just the fungi. We find out that Adario has never been camping, Mike learns to roll his Rs, and Joey accidentally does MATH!! Scary shit indeed. Enjoy!
Do you get it tho? Steinbach 2 Back? Like back to back...? Because Michael Steinbach is reading two of his scrip...? You know what, never mind. This week STEINBACH is in the house with a double feature extravaganza! We talk about death, deflecting, and of course our two new cover-bands coming to an ear near you. Enjoy!
We've all got at least ONE embarrassing secret. In this episode, Welcome to the Family, one man must encounter that secret at a job interview. And lets just say...SHIT. GETS. CRAZY. WARNING: There is a lot of poop talk and poo-based puns in this episode, and everyone shares a story about a fart that got away.
Put on your pants and squeeze your uncle, FAS is back and we're talking 'bout ghost stuff today! This week's script was sent in by Elizabeth Baxter - titled "Message". Don't worry, it's not too spooky, it's actually pretty fun. Adario channels his inner goth, Mike gives us a few samples off his new album coming out, and Joey reveals his full-proof escape plan for a failing relationship.
THE HART IS IN THE HOUSE! Ryan Hartley returns to Flip A Script this week to bring us a brand-spankin-new script that he totally only just wrote for us. And boy is it a wild one. Mike unexpectedly nails his performance as the lead character, and Adario somehow miraculously pulls every single Muppet impression out of his ass. WHO KNEW?! ...oh, and Joey needs to brush up on his King of the Hill trivia...
You read that right, folks. Jesus and the Hut is a new script this week by Alec Petraski. I promise you, it's probably not, but maybe a little, just how it sounds. We swap drinking stories and get closer and closer to learning about the fateful night of Joey's break-in story... shit my lawyer's here now. Cant talk, g2g! Enjoy!
The episode is not late, YOU'RE LATE! Seriously, so sorry about that. We'll do better next time. THIS WEEK- We conclude the tech/sci-fi/mystery script from Michael Sanaiha, "Yesterday". Mike struggles with a Russian female accent, Adario trademarks his new superhero, and Joey struggles to make any decent attempt at a character voice. Find out what happens to Michael and Mark right now! SMASH THAT PLAY BUTTON, NOOB!
THIS WEEK- Michael Sanaiha joins us on the podcast with his very own script, 'Yesterday' about a couple late-20s app developers who start to encounter some strange things around them. Be sure to stick around til the end when we come up with the best possible Spider-man remake starring Rob Schneider and Tommy Wiseau. It's absolutely brilliant. Join us next week to here the conclusion of Michael's script! Also, consider donating to our Patreon page at patreon.com/flipascript and get some bonus content! And if you'd like to send in a script, we have a new email you can do that at flipascriptpodcast@gmail.com - SEND US YOUR SHIT!
The gang tries their hand at a romantic drama and things go...well, I guess they go. Big thanks to Trey Singleton for submitting his script this week!
This week, Mike gets to play the ever-coveted role of God, and Adario doesn't know the correct answer about time-travel/killing Hitler...but he's learning. Big thanks to Alec for submitting his script to us this week! It deserved better justice than what we gave it, but here we are... Enjoy!
It's time to get back to business. And that business is figuring out which of your grandma's things you want to rub your junk on. I wish I was kidding, but no, we actually talk about that in this episode. But we also read a script by Jake Burling! It's pretty great and pretty StEaMyYyYyY... We all had a blast reading this one and it goes from chill to absolutely no chill in about 2 seconds so you've been warned. Enjoy!!
It's HERE! The ACTUAL FINALE of Welcome to Ragged Rock. Part 2 of Part 3. That's a real thing. Don't @ me. Enjoy, you nerds!
It's here! The final episode of the Western Saga "Welcome to Ragged Rock" is finally coming to a close. Stranded in 1985, Walter and Judy must find a way to get home, and to find a way to get Smitty back. There's a lot of time-travel bullshit in here sooooo I really hope no one gets too confused. We had amazing help this week from Angela Yonts, who filled Judy's shoes perfectly! This episode is split, the second part will be up today, just look for it. Gawd.
Awwww, snap son! Part 2 of the western saga is here! Walter, Smitty, and Judy face the aftermath of killing the beast on top of the mountain. And then some other really weird shit happens. We were joined this week by the very awesome Sophie Hard. Again, our guests try to bring some class on the show, and we derail it super fast by talking about shooting emotion from our dicks. We are not worthy. Next week is the final chapter of our Westerns and we will get back to regular, user submitted scripts! If you wish to send one in, please do to bigkidstudios15@gmail.com
Strap in, folks! Ready your horses and work on your quick-draws...This podcast goes FULL WESTERN! We're starting a new special three-episode arc that takes place in the wild, wild West. Complete with gunslingers, monsters, and old timey mayors! We are so very lucky to be joined this week by Noelle Fabian Dragon, a TRUE voice over artist and actress that puts us all to shame. She has now set the bar so very high for us. This week is part one of the Western Epic, so make sure you stay tuned to see how Walter and Smitty (or known to us as their peasant names Mike and Adario) get themselves out of a heck of a pickle. So long, partners!!
We're back with another original script written by one of our very own! This week the gang goes on an adventure to the wonderful world of burglars, in a not-so-high stakes heist. And even though we've been at this for a while now, we all still seem to struggle on our voices, and it becomes very apparent in this episode. Plenty of goofs about bidets, pervy boys, and literal toilet humor. ALSO! If you would like to submit a script for us to read, for the love of god PLEASE DO SO! Send your scripts (roughly 15-20ish pages) to bigkidstudios15@gmail.com! It takes a lot of time and energy to write, record, edit and add music to these episodes so we would much rather be reading our listener's scripts for you all to enjoy!
Double the pleasure, double the fun! This week we are joined by Ryan Hartley who brought us not one, but TWO scripts for the podcast (mainly because the first one he sent was too short, but WHATEVER!) and he did his best to defend his precious words from monsters like us, but we waste almost no time degrading his work by making everything overtly about sex and butt-stuff. Sorry, Ryan. Enjoy this week's goofs about strawberries, swords, and the pivotal moment in every young boys' life...masturbation.
Boy howdy. This week was tough, folks. Bright side is that we were able to take many of the 100 fuck ups we committed while reading this script into somewhat laughable goofs. Down side is that we completely murdered poor Aileen's script. Thanks for submitting Aileen! This week's script Chicken Farm has very little to do with chickens, but a lot to do with that sweet, sweet herb that makes everyone crave chicken nuggets. Also listen for the moment that Joey and Mike have to teach Adario how to use hardcopies of scripts...nay, just paper in general.
Our first episode features a script that was written by our very own Joey Skaggs! Or Die Trying is kind of a doomsday story, but with very different goals than trying to survive. Mike, Adario, and Joey try their best to get through the immature potty-humor but are very limited in their success.
