Working across disciplines including experimental theatre, silent film, chamber music, improvisation and choral singing, Rose sings to create a space to heal souls and bodies, and to allow humans to embrace all of their complexity and humanity.     Award-winning fiction writer, reviewer, editor, and PhD candidate Sanchari Sur and I talk about our journeys of coming into queerness, how academic institutions can provide better mental health services, and the power dynamics between editors and writers. Sanchari Sur is a PhD candidate in English at Wilfrid Laurier University. Their writing can be found in Joyland, Al Jazeera, Room, EVENT, PRISM international, Quill & Quire and elsewhere. They co-edited Watch Your Head (Coach House Books, 2020), and are included in In /Appropriate: Interviews with Canadian Authors on the Writing of Difference (Gordon Hill Press, 2020, ed.
