Way back in the day, over a year ago at this point, Tokyo Drift vs. Speed Racer was supposed to be our first episode. However, due to technical difficulties and a lack of experience we lost recordings of that episode... multiple times. Eventually we got so frustrated with it that we decided to not do the episode, chalk up the loss as a valuable learning experience, and move forward. Then, when we decided we wanted to structure the podcast in seasons, we decided to give it one more try for the premier of season 2. And in a moment of hubris and self-assuredness that it would work this time, we even added Days of Thunder to the mix. However, on the day of this recording, the website that we use for recording was reporting issues which could lead to spotty connections and possibly errors in recording. That's when we realized the episode was cursed. However, because we were short on time, we decided to give it a shot. Just one shot. There was one scary moment when we thought we lost the Days of Thunder section, but everything made it through in the end. So now we can finally release the episode that is over a year in the making, and we sincerely hope you enjoy it.
