Step into Episode 200 of ‘On The Delo' as Delo celebrates a major milestone by sitting down with fellow "Delo" Dave Delos, a 30-year bar industry veteran, owner of six neighborhood dive bars, and president of the Arizona Licensed Beverage Association (ALBA). From growing up in Poughkeepsie, New York, and building homes with his hands to buying his first bar from his father-in-law Tony Marino in 1996, Dave shares the full arc of how hard work, family, and a willingness to "figure it out" built a six-location dive bar empire across the West Valley. The conversation goes deep on what it really means to run a family business in hospitality, how Dave and his wife Lori built their operation together (she's known as "the executioner" for a reason), and how their son and daughter have now stepped into daily operations and HR to carry the legacy forward. Dave also opens up about life at 60, losing his father last year, taking his 86-year-old mom wine tasting, and why golf, travel, cooking, and wine at night keep him grounded. You'll hear one of the wildest bar stories ever told involving a live World War II hand grenade thrown into one of his bars, plus Dave's journey from ALBA board member to seven-year president, why a $200,000 Series 6 license needs protecting, and where he stands on mandatory Title 4 training and personal responsibility. Stay for rapid fire on Sunday day drinkers, Michelob Ultra, napkin deals, White Castle, and why dive bars are the fabric of America.Chapter Guide (Timestamps):(0:00 - 2:53) Episode 200 Celebration, "On The Delos," and Why Delo Matters to the Industry(2:54 - 6:38) Growing Up in New York, the Mazda B2000 Road Trip, and Meeting His Wife at Gentleman's Choice(6:39 - 9:54) Moving to Arizona, Buying a Bar from Tony Marino, and Building Six Locations with His Hands(9:54 - 12:38) His Wife "The Executioner," Partnership, and What a Good Woman Does for Your Life and Business(12:39 - 15:18) Passing the Business to His Kids, College First, and Letting Go After 30 Years of Decisions(15:18 - 17:55) Life at 60: Golf, Travel, Wine at Night, and Taking His 86-Year-Old Mom Wine Tasting(17:56 - 20:52) The Live Hand Grenade Story: The Wildest Thing That's Ever Happened in One of His Bars(20:52 - 25:06) Getting Into ALBA, Industry Titans, Bill Weigel, and Why It's "My Time, My Turn"(25:06 - 29:02) What ALBA Does: Lobbying, Licensing, Protecting the $200K Series 6, and Don Isaacson at the Capitol(29:02 - 33:19) Title 4 Training, Mandatory vs. Voluntary, Personal Responsibility, and Masking Intoxication(33:19 - 35:42) ALBA Membership Benefits, $300/Year, Insurance Discounts, and a Welcome to New Members(35:42 - 42:03) Rapid Fire: Sunday Drinkers, Dive Bars, Michelob Ultra, Napkin Deals, White Castle, and Delo's Close

Episode 82 is a two-man chaos shift as Wrestling Mark and Andy do what they “never” do and start with WWE, ripping into the Royal Rumble, the lifeless booking, and why so many ex-AEW names feel like they've been dropped into a punishment ritual instead of treated like stars. We talk Roman winning, the weird timing around Triple H criticism, and why it might finally feel like Dwayne Johnson is lining up a power move. Then we flip to AEW and get properly honest: not bad faith, not tribalism, just the reality that AEW set the bar so high that “good matches” alone doesn't hit the same anymore. We break down the Death Riders hangover, rotating pushes, why some big moments have felt flatter than they should, and what AEW needs to do to get that “I have to stay up till 3am” feeling back.On the upside, there are real signs of life: the main event scene is stacked, Andrade feels reborn, Ricochet's cooking , and we fantasy-book the most obvious (and most exciting) move possible: AJ Styles in AEW, with a proper run and a retirement done right. Also: hair vs hair predictions, women's division frustration, and yes, White Castle catches strays again.

Update on our week:   Andy talks about the Bears winning the NFC North and having their best year in a very long time. The guys discuss the coaching changes over the years and the great run they've had this year. For Christmas/NYE, Andy brings up liking to cook and eat Prime Rib, and talks about how many of our Hispanic family would consider it raw, despite Prime Rib being a meat that needs to be eaten less thoroughly cooked than other cuts. Daniel sheds light on a new documentary/film he watched, Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas, and discusses the premise being the birth of Jesus and its historical interpretations and different possibilities. Daniel's recent visit to White castle alarmed him at the higher price of a White Castle slider. A typical 10 sack meal with fries now reaches the $20 price point, leading all the guys to discuss how overinflated pricing has become. The guys unanimously agree that Die hard is a Christmas movie, and Daniel brings up how he watched it recently as his yearly tradition around the Christmas season. Noel recently bought and watched 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 4k via Arrow Video's physical release. He goes into detail on how this movie was a big part of his childhood and how much he was looking forward to seeing it restored and presented in 4k. Noel gives a gaming update and fills us in on his first playthrough of Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. Noel gives a shoutout to Bibibop, a Korean Food Chain that really wowed Noel in terms of quality and taste for the price. Its a more nutritious option and a step up from Panda Express or other Asian spots. Send us a textEver had friends stage a “food intervention” with a straight face and a side of laughter? We kick off with a playful callout about Chinese takeout and land in a surprisingly honest look at cravings, comfort food, and the thin line between habit and burnout. What starts as soy-sauce jokes turns into a real audit of how often we repeat meals, why certain snacks feel non-negotiable, and how one bad night can make a favorite fast-food spot untouchable. We get candid about gas station food as survival, the fruit snacks we swear by, and the mythical idea that pizza can be a three-times-a-day lifestyle. Along the way, we unpack food aversions—how a childhood peach juice overload or a disastrous White Castle run can rewire taste for years. The pizza debate takes center stage: rotating styles to dodge palate fatigue, whether cold slices are a delight or a deal-breaker, and a closing-time Little Caesars haul that turned into a week of budget-friendly meals and roommate diplomacy. It's funny, a little chaotic, and more relatable than we expected.By the end, we land on practical ways to keep joy in the foods we love without getting stuck in a loop. Build a rotation so favorites stay special. Change sauces, sides, or bases to refresh the same order. Respect no-go foods without guilt, and let time—and context—do the healing. If food is comfort, culture, and connection, then humor is the bridge that keeps the conversation open. Hit play, share your hot takes on cold pizza, and tell us: which restaurant or dish is on your forever list, and which one is off the table for good? In episode 46, we review two expansions: The White Castle: Matcha published by Devir and Wyrmspan: Dragon Academy published by Stonemaier Games. But, first! We chat about what is bringing us joy: Yokai Septet, 12 Chip Trick, Sausage Sizzle!, and Galileo Galilei. The White Castle: Matcha introduces the tea ceremony to the game and a new means to influence the court with new members of your clan: Geishas. This includes taking actions in order to proceed along the Path of Tea; progress far enough along this path, and your Geisha will earn a spot in the Tea House, granting your clan additional influence within the court of Himeji. This expansion incorporates a suite of new game spaces, cards, player boards, and workers. However, one of the pivotal changes that Angela isn't a huge fan of is the addition of another die, bringing the total actions a player takes from three in the base game to four in a round.Wyrmspan: Dragon Academy introduces more of everything from the base game, from caverns, to dragons, to guilds, to objectives. However, the most appealing changes (in our homie opinions) are the addition of the round tracker and fledgling dragons. When a player passes out of a round, they get a choice of bonuses to take into the next round, rather than the flat 6 coins you previously got in the base game. Fret not, as there is still an option for those 6 coins if you get there early enough, but the others provide resources and one fewer coin, which may be just what you need to entice that dragon. As for the fledglings, they are a fifth type of dragon that lack any abilities from the start but can transform with enough care from your trainer (often in the form of providing different resources.) They also increase in score the more you attract to your caves. Two worthy expansions! Listen in to find out who these expansions are for and if you need to add to cart.Get to know us @ https://lnk.bio/BoardGameHomies

White Castle steam-griddle station... ambience. The perspective of this week's episode is near the burger steaming station (if you're curious how that operation goes, let Double Dare's Marc Summers walk you through it). And not to worry — you can sleep at this steaming station; no one is worried about what you're doing. And BTW, this isn't sanctioned or intended to be an ad. I'm just a fan and would love to imagine myself within arm's length of those steamy sliders. I have a bit of a White Castle problem: I have the White Castle Pumas, I'm usually a sack of ten and a Cherry Coke (no fries) — if I were hungry enough to add fries at any other fast-food spot, I'm spending that hunger on another sack of ten.And as a programming note: if the White Castle Corporation sends me a cease-and-desist, this description will instead be geared toward the oddly shaped meatloaf burgers my father would make, stuffed with Bac-Os, mushrooms, breadcrumbs, and onions. The patties were so oddly shaped, if they were in orbit they would be confused with Saturn's moon, Hyperion. One of the most notorious of these family “burger nights” ended with us watching a VHS of my mother at work in the cath lab. Had to wait until the end because she said something funny. Aside from the occasional flying streams of blood, it was hella boring.Until then — we are boosting the Castle for free. And I have to think that the oft-trod subject of “Where the hell are they?” adds to their nostalgic appeal — at least for those of us who know there are a bunch in New Jersey, but we're not quite sure where. I swear the White Castles of New Jersey operate in the Doctor Who universe. White Castles only ever appear like, “Surprise *****! I'm in Ledgewood now!” And then maybe it's not there next time because… TARDIS perception filter. And I haven't seen the Dude, Where's My White Castle? movie, so I could just be describing the plot of that. It's a thread that runs through all of us. No matter where we as a species go — like, we could be going into space — we still somehow need to drive through New Jersey first (and hopefully near a food exit with a Castle logo).I was on a road trip with a buddy in '09, and White Castle was the “food exit” around Perth Amboy. I nudged him: “White Castle, man — let's go.”“Nah, man,” he said. “There'll be one up there. Don't worry.” My buddy never liked leaving the highways in NJ for local roads. I suspected the lack of legal left turns spited him somehow. But I countered with a pre-I-told-you-so — like, “If you see a White Castle, even if you're not hungry, you go. It doesn't matter how New Jersey you think that New Jersey town is — you can't count on White Castle being there.”Parsippany burned us, and we ate Burger King or some ****.

Eventually, we embark on the Most Important Cultural Work of Our Time: a fast-food and fast-casual tier list. Along the way, we crown unexpected champions, bury some long-held myths (looking directly at you, In-N-Out), and declare Waffle House the beating heart of American civilization. It's unhinged, joyful, occasionally shameful, and fully definitive.Opening ShenanigansEden opens with an incredible wuxia monologue introducing Beauty's Blade, the Baihe novel they've been reading.Peter tries (and fails) to match the energy.Thanksgiving recaps: delayed flights, Target wandering, and the absolute war crime that is “Do You Remember…the 21st Night of December” playing over store speakers.Life Updates & MediaEnd-of-year malaise, work overload, and winter dread.Apple Music Replay breakdowns:Peter: another year, another Slow Forever domination.Eden: a deeply chaotic top-albums list featuring Rebecca Black, Japanese jazz fusion, KPM library music, and Tron: Legacy.Taskmaster binges continue.Peter's current reading includes Three-Body Problem and the 900-page Gödel, Escher, Bach.Eden is deep into Where Winds Meet (“What if Assassin's Creed but Wuxia and optionally an MMO?”), and fully living in Jianghu.Manga corner: Kaiju Girl Caramelise is adorable and unhinged in equal measure.

This week on UNRELENTING, Darren and Gene kick down the digital door and drag you head-first into a two-hour firefight with the modern world's most ridiculous enemy: AI panic, overproduced pop stars, dead-eyed concert zombies, and the cult of perfect pitch. It is equal parts chaos, tactical insight, and smart-assed commentary delivered with the subtlety of a breaching charge. You'll hear about: AI music taking over like a rogue SEAL team — turning Darren's ancient out-of-tune basement riffs into studio-polished bangers. The Great Lost Episode — Gene talking for 13 hours straight, and somehow no one hit “record.” A tragedy. A blessing. Depends who you ask. The Taylor Swift Lip-Sync Tribunal — and why live shows now look like a hostage situation conducted entirely through cell-phone screens. Monkey selfies, copyright insanity, and why your camera roll is probably illegal. The Wrecking Crew, Brian Wilson, perfect pitch, auto-tune, and the death of the human voice — all deconstructed with the precision of a sniper and the attitude of a drunk bar brawler. Thanksgiving stuffing made out of White Castle sliders, because why the hell not? Listener boosts, CSB shenanigans, AI slop music contests, electricity disasters at Gene's house, and biohacking with turkey tail mushrooms. By the end, you'll understand why this show couldn't be made in any corporate boardroom, any sanitized studio, or any HR-approved production pipeline. It's raw. It's unfiltered. It's two dudes with microphones and zero fear of offending the fragile ears of modern society. If you're tired of the same reheated, PR-approved digital oatmeal masquerading as content…If you want real talk, hard laughs, and opinions delivered with enough voltage to trip Gene's circuit breaker…If you're ready for the only podcast that can go from AI ethics to lego trains to stuffing recipes without losing a beat… Then hit play, sailor. UNRELENTING 0175 — the only show where the chaos is homemade, the insights are deadly accurate, and the mistakes are left in for your entertainment. Now quit reading and start listening. He goes through each quote and the deep lessons he got from movies you wouldn’t expect from Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle to Pokémon: The First Movie! In the Movie Review, Mike talks about The Running Man starring Glen Powell. It’s the remake of the 1987 movie about a man who joins a game show in which contestants, allowed to go anywhere in the world, are pursued by "hunters" hired to kill them. Mike talks about the good and bad of Glen’s performance, why it doesn’t quite feel like an Edgar Wright movie, where it lost him but why he thinks Glen should be in the MCU and what superhero he should play. For instance, we had 58A, What you eat, DIET; 52D, Metaphor for a bad goalie, SIEVE (awesome!); and 61D, Start of a bray, HEE (hee, hee). Also, we'd be remiss if we didn't acknowledge the presence of both 38A, Wood-cutting tool, ADZ, and 63D, Highlights of the Super Bowl, for some, ADS. Nice!Show note imagery: WHITECASTLE, popular, but apparently not in NE WI.We love feedback! Send us a text...Contact Info:We love listener mail! Facebook Jobs Rises While OpenAI Gets Dirty

This week's episode opens with a layoffs avalanche that could bury a small HR department. Nestlé slashes 16,000 jobs—mostly white-collar, as AI now crunches numbers faster than accountants can say “chocolate river.” Meta cuts 600 from its super-intelligence team (the irony writes itself), Paycom drops 500 engineers (guess the bots finally learned to code), Handshake axes over 100 (pivoting to “AI-centric tech” = fancy talk for “we're toast”), and even programmatic darling Appcast trims 32. The hot acquisition pitch? JobGet should buy Handshake and rebrand it Handjob.com—because nothing screams “career move” like a domain that triggers every corporate filter. The bullshit meter detonates. Facebook resurrects its job board after killing it in 2023—rumor has it Zuck's prepping AR glasses where “Starbucks is hiring” beams directly into your latte-fueled daydreams. X quietly buries its LinkedIn-killer tab (Elon's too busy monetizing outrage). Adzuna unveils a “revolutionary” search that's basically ZipRecruiter's Phil minus the creepy spokesperson—half-baked, no employer-side matching, and it begs for your email like a desperate Tinder bio. Metaview's Chicago billboard (“Who says hiring has to be fair?”) gets flayed: four-second glance, logo smaller than a South Park punchline, and DEI messaging dumber than a rock. Fix? “Effective AI. Giant Logo. Metaview.com.” Done. Stop torching $35M on ego art. Funding fireworks: Findem.ai pockets another $51M, hitting $105M total (Intello 2.0, now with agent spice—same data warehouse, new flavor packet). Deel raises $300M, pushing its war chest to $1.3B at a $17.3B valuation—enough to buy a mid-sized nation and still tip the barista. Armstrong grabs $12M for AI dish-washing robots (Taco Bell's drive-thru is about to ghost human order-takers faster than you can say “Doritos Locos”). Jack & Jill scores $20M for conversational job alerts—talk to your laptop, get emailed Indeed links. Groundbreaking… if it's 2001. Economy's a K-shaped tire fire: Hamburger Helper sales spike 14% (flashbacks to salty 70s trauma: “Dad tried to fix it with more salt—burned my mouth and my will to live”). Freight rates up 20%, subprime auto delinquencies worse than COVID, Great Recession, and dot-com bust combined. White Castle flips fully autonomous in Ohio—farewell, drive-thru jobs; hello, robot flipping your sliders while you doom-scroll in sweatpants. Finale: OpenAI green-lights erotic ChatGPT for verified adults starting December (the internet was literally built on the promise of pixelated nipples—Sam Altman's just cashing the OG check). Age-gating? Cute. Show me a 10-ft wall, I'll show you an 11-ft ladder and a forged ID. They also launch ChatGPT Atlas, an AI browser with a sassy sidebar—because Chrome's 2:38 median tab time and 11.4 open tabs (recruiters: double that, easy) needed a drunk-texting career coach. Google infused Gemini; OpenAI counters by making browsing feel like your browser just joined a group chat.Buckle up—2026 will be wilder than a Meta glasses app that undresses your LinkedIn connections in AR. The season invites cozy gatherings, a time when board games find their way to kitchen tables and living rooms, bringing people together in shared strategy and laughter. It's the perfect backdrop for diving into rich, immersive games that stretch the imagination and challenge the mind. This fall, three standout titles offer distinct flavors of strategic depth. Aeterna spans eras, asking players to draft cards and manage resources across shifting historical landscapes, testing tactical foresight. Tianxia, set in China's Warring States period, blends politics, trade, and tower defense as players vie for prestige while fending off nomadic invaders. It's a Euro-style game with layered mechanics and historical nuance. Meanwhile, Wroth provides the challenge of area control and alliances that can suddenly turn cold just like the air outside. Together, these games reflect the season's introspective mood, where complexity and strategy take center stage. This year's National Toy Hall of Fame finalists celebrate both nostalgia and innovation for us. From timeless tabletop classics like Catan, Battleship, and Trivial Pursuit. Or for those toys that make us scratch our head and say really — thus soft balls of Snow. Iconic toys like Furby and Tickle Me Elmo bring a wave of 90s tech nostalgia for your kids, while Spirograph and Connect Four remind us of our childhoods. Thanks for listening and be sure to head over to our Discord channel and discuss not board games, but who do you think should be in the Toy Hall of Fame. Learn more about your ad choices. Another day, another masterclass in awkward honesty courtesy of The Rizzuto Show. This week, the crew dives into the eternal mystery: how the hell do you actually know if someone's into you? Spoiler: apparently it involves secret triangles with your eyes, unnecessary elbow touching, and maybe staring at lips like a weirdo?! But the real highlight? Lern hits us with a story about her mom letting one rip right in front of her at a girl's weekend — and not the “oops, blame the chair squeak” kind. Nope, the kind that makes you reconsider ever making eye contact with your parent again. Listen now and prepare to be blown away… hopefully not the same way Lern was. Show Notes: Who won the Pick'em Challenge this week between the Rizz Show and the 101ESPN's Fast Lane? Moon's weekend review of Las Vegas. Lern's weekend review of Salem Mass. The conversation kicks off with champagne requests, mushroom trip confessions, and childhood memories that shaped their lives. Ralph opens up about big realizations, his family's ties to The Sopranos, and why stand-up nerves still hit him before every set. Jaime dives into road life with Ralph — from late-night White Castle disasters to accidentally ending up at a gay diner in Minnesota. The group gets into food debates (ketchup on popcorn??), toxic road friendships, and the art of ordering for an entire crew without losing your mind. Plus, Ralph shares his infamous “toxic tips” for Instagram, Jaime reveals how tennis rackets turned into a conversation starter, and things spiral into stories about Vegas birthdays, road rage, and matcha latte mind games.
