Here to prove God's hope and love in NE Wichita.
Scripture Reading : James 2:14-26 This sermon aims to answer two big questions: what is the place for “good works” in our faith, and what does it really take to be justified?
Pastor Travis continues our journey through James and speaks on the charge for us to live a life that is Holy and faithful in response to the grace extended to us.
In this message, Pastor Levi navigates us through this first portion of James 1. The main theme of this text is the testing of our faith and how we persevere through the trials of life. We hope this message will encourage you to keep your eyes on Christ and to consider the long term benefit that the testing and shaking of our faith can bring us when we stayed anchored in Christ and connected to His Church.
Onward Church's own Media and Creative Arts director, Holly Soyez, challenges our church with a message on missions: here, there, and everywhere. With a launching pad of both the great commission and the great commandment, Holly encourages us to find ways to follow Jesus' charge to be witnesses to those closest to us and to the ends of the earth.
Pastor Travis breaks down the call for us to be missional in our mindsets as we give with our time, talent, and treasure.

We turn to 1 John 4 & 5 to talk about the proof of God's love being displayed in our obedience towards him.
In this study of 1 John 3, Pastor Levi speaks about how our faith is not meant to be lethargic or legalistic: it is a sincere and humble walk towards righteousness. We will also look at why being called children of God is more than just a "christianese" term, and how we can be inspired by John to take action in how we love one another as a community of believers.
Pastor Travis begins our new series "Lead with Love" by starting our trek through the book of 1 John chapters 1 and 2. In this message, we talk about the love of God as “the Light.” John uses this analogy all throughout the opening chapters of this epistle, and he commands the readers to live a life that walks in and reflects the Light.
Pastor Travis looks back on all the things God has done through and for out church during 2018. We are excited for God to give us a greater capacity to love our city in 2019 as we continue to grow as disciples and people.
Pastor Travis wraps up our time focusing on Advent by preaching on the hope that is granted to us through Christ. As we close out 2018 as a church, we look to four new values that we believe God has called us to extend to out community as the church: kindness, generosity, hope, and belonging.
In this sermon, associate pastor Levi Massey talks about what it means to be biblically generous. This is a deep dive on the narrative of generosity throughout all of scripture culminating in Christ's ultimate display through giving his life for us.
The kindness of God is what leads us to repentance. In this message, we open up the Bible to learn about why kindness matters and how it opens the door to the Gospel.
We are kicking off the Christmas season by talking about four different values that are highlighted by Advent. As we go through the story in the coming weeks, we will talk about the kindness, generosity, hope, and belonging that God extends to us. These four core principals are what we want to imitate as we reach out to our community in Wichita.
A dive into the middle of Acts 16, where we see Paul encounter a few different people while using discernment from the Holy Spirit. How do we react when outside forces try to pull at us? Patience? Confrontation? Both? Listen to this message from Pastor Travis to find out!
In this message, Pastor Travis announced that we are launching a new endeavor at Onward. Starting in January, we will begin a midweek service at Coleman Middle school that will be targeted towards empowering and encouraging every generation with the hope of the gospel. We are excited to take another step as a church, and we hope that you will join us as we continue to reach our community with the hope of Jesus.
